Hiroto

All around him, Hiroto heard the sounds of training. In fact, there were two fellow genin sparring not too far away. They seemed to have to caught Reiji's attention, Hiroto even feeling tempted to smack his partner upside the head to get him to pay attention to sensei, but Reiji turned back toward them on his own soon enough. During this, their sensei confirmed that she did indeed make a name for herself from psychological screwing people up, she even claimed that she could have been doing that to them right now. Hiroto gulped, even fighting back a sigh of relief when she said she was just joking. Then came the details of their first mission.

"Protecting a carnival, huh? Sounds easy enough." said Hiroto as they walked. In fact it sounded too easy. Hearing the sounds of training and sparring, it made Hiroto itch for a fight. But if the only threat to this carnival was bandits, then any fighting they might see would be dull at best. Bandits were just thugs with no chakra, no jutsu, no nothing. Well, if they attacked in groups they might prove at least a little interesting, but beyond that? Anyway, Hiroto decided not to let himself get too distracted, and decided to ask another question, this time addressing his teammate, "Higashi, huh? Have I heard that name before? Rings a bell, that's for sure." Hiroto never really bothered to learn much about the great clans, instead deciding to keep his distance from them. After all, they were full of spoiled brats who got their jollies from bullying commoners like Hiroto, and frankly Hiroto intended to kick all their asses and bring them all down a peg or three. Some of them, Hiroto knew, could really use a good lesson in humility.

Right about that time, someone yelled about a thief, "Yes!" cheered Hiroto, gearing to finally kick some ass. But then, the thief approached and just... keeled over. The hell? That was probably the first real Genjutsu Hiroto had ever seen someone use, "What happened? Geez, and I thought I'd have an ass to kick." he just shrugged, now almost hoping there would be some kind of attack on the carnival later. Still, sensei just completely owned that guy and she didn't even lift a friggin' finger! Damn... just, damn!

Satsuma

Out of curiosity, Satsuma checked the latest team rosters to see who Hiroto had been paired up with. He raised an eyebrow at the name Akiyama. He'd heard of her, certainly, the Genjutsu specialist who managed to "obtain" a Sharingan. Knowing his pupil, she'd have her hands full, that was for sure. Still, maybe a Genjutsu specialist could teach the boy something about patience, something Hiroto definitely struggled with. As for the teammate, Higashi, Satsuma had only one concern: Hiroto hated nobility, it was people in those social classes that picked on him so harshly in the academy. This had to be intentional, pairing the boy up with people who directly challenged his outlook in order to force him to overcome his personal weaknesses. But of course, there were ways it could backfire as well.

"I hope you know what you're doing Sebaru..." Satsuma said under his breath as he turned to walk away, "...either way this should turn out pretty interesting."

Kanajiro and Suki Hanamoto

Slightly before Suki's exams

Suki's exams were scheduled only a slight time after those of Kanajiro. It was something to do with the fact that her teacher had recently become ill, and the replacement teacher decided that it was time for exams as well. It seemed he had gotten bored of the class after merely a week and just decided that he wanted to be rid of them. Kanajiro had known the teacher that had gotten ill and decided that Suki should pay a visit together with him. He walked outside from just having changed into some neater clothes such as a black kimono top and some nice pants. He looked around, foolishly hoping to find Suki training, but ofcourse she wasn't there. He put his hands on his hips and looked up towards the roof, seeing Suki hanging back in the sun, practically asleep. “Suki. We're gonna visit your old teacher. Please join me.” Suki slowly lifted her head, a boring and disinterested look riddling her face. But she got up, albeit slowly, and jumped down. She landed with a thud, bending through to deal with the impact. She slowly looked up at Kanajiro, her black haired bangs shaking side to side as she got up again. “I guess.” she said and Kanajiro smiled at her, tilting his head a bit and squinting his eyes in a friendly manner. Somehow, he could see the likeness of his mother in her. Not that he ever saw her, but they had pictures of long ago. Of her with dad, holding Kanajiro in her arms and dad stretching his hands around her pregnant belly.

Together they walked towards the Iwagakure hospital. Atleast there was one of them wearing clothes that fit the occasion. Atleast she had the Hanamoto crest embroidered in her coat. They walked past a busy street, many people eyeing the young Hanamoto leader and his sister, though not many recognised Suki. She seemed indifferent about it and slowly trudged besides Kanajiro, who walked slowly to match her pace. “Are you excited for your exams, Suki? It's a stroke of luck to be able to show your skills so soon. Please try your best.” he said quietly, smiling once again and squinting his eyes. She responded by looking down at the ground. “Yes, brother. I will do my best.” She made sure to hide her sigh that followed, but not well enough as Kanajiro heard it. “Thank you, Suki.”

They closed in on the hospital and walked pasted Kariru, who happened to just be leaving. At this point in time Kanajiro only recognised her, but didn't know from where. Suki had barely any idea who this woman was and didn't even see her. They asked the receptionist where the teacher, miss Kuzaiya, had been put in a room. After some back and forth about who they were, and why they were here, they were allowed to go upstairs. Kanajiro knocked on door 5A twice, then pushed Suki a bit forward and pulled a small box of chocolates from his pocket, pushing it into her hands. “C-come in..” a somewhat shaky and torn voice replied.

The woman looked to be quite healthy if you disregarded the bags under her eyes, the strings of hair hanging past her eyes loosely and her lack of self-care. She had been laying in the bed for a while, IV's hooked up to her body and several monitors around her monitoring several conditions of her body. Suki inched closer and bowed, extending the box of chocolate before her. Miss Kuzaiya gladly took the chocolate, making sure to put a hand on Suki's head as a 'thank you' before mumbling it in actual words, but not understandable enough. Despite her young age, Miss Kuzaiya looked really old due to catching the flu. She'd been bed ridden for some time now. “Ohhh, is that you.. Kanajiro-san?” Kanajiro stepped closer slowly, bowing before her next to his sister. They both rose up at the same time. “Yes, miss Kuzaiya. It's me and my sister, Suki-chan.” Once again he shoved her forwards, urging her to speak. Miss Kuzaiya looked at her with a smile, also waiting for her to say something.

“H-hi miss Kuzaiya. Me and the class were worried about you. Please get better soon.” Miss Kuzaiya responded with a bigger smile than before and even Kanajiro couldn't help but smile. “Also, mister Odaime has already told us he'd give us the genin exams early this year.. somewhere next month.” Miss Kuzaiya flinched a second but regained her composure before Suki could see it. Kanajiro saw, however, and shared his feelings. It was obvious Suki wasn't quite ready yet, as she hadn't really gotten the shinobi mindset yet. She preferred slacking off and enjoying some downtime. Except, downtime was all she ever did. Kanajiro took this small moment of silence to bow and speak. “Excuse us, miss Kuzaiya. But we have to get back to home. I have to train with Suki-chan. After all, she must pass in your honor, right?” The teacher smiled and nodded at Suki, whom simply lowered her head. Together with Kanajiro, she left again.

Once they got back, Kanajiro didn't even have to order Suki to go and train that very moment. She went herself, hailing one of the younger kids to act as a partner. After all she simply had to do some easy jutsu. Perhaps she'd be alright. Maybe. Kanajiro watched for a moment as Suki used the transformation jutsu with success and then headed inside. She'd be fine. Mom was watching over them and would ensure she'd be fine.

Reiji Hagashi - Squad Introduction and First Mission

Reiji listened to his sensei's words, she had a firm strength to her. Kyoko explained that she did use her Sharingan to mentally incapacitate her opponents. The Hagashi's eyes widened slightly when she said she could be doing it to them at that time. He almost sighed with relief when she laughed it off. Her sense of humor was... Odd. Reiji smirked when she said that he wouldn't have to right Hiroto. That would have been fun, and he would have been able to prove that he was in it to win. Hiroto would probably just hold him back. In the back of his mind he kind of wished he was in a squad with Kanajiro. At least then he would have some competition. Things became more serious when she explained that they would immediately begin a mission. Reiji was surprised, but a ninja always did what his sensei told him to. He responded politely as she turned away from him. "Hai, sensei."

Reiji stayed quiet and alert as his master explained what their mission was. It kind of seemed easy, guarding a carnival. At least it wouldn't be too boring, the bandits would make sure of that. Reiji hoped that Hiroto knew how to strategize just a little, they would probably each have to patrol different sections of the carnival. The Hagashi stayed silent as he analyzed the situation, trying to think of variables and tactics before he even saw the carnival.

Reiji smelled a new scent, it was a man, he could tell. "Kyoko Sensei there's-" he began, but she already noticed. There was a woman yelling about a thief. It was the man he smelled before! The Genin reached his hand over his shoulder and he gripped the hilt of Itami. As he was taking out his sword, Reiji watched the man drop to the ground. He realized the man must have been knocked out by genjutsu. He was infatuated by genjutsu, he hoped that Kyoko could teach him genjutsu techniques, as he knew none of his own. Reiji made sure to not even glance at the thief, he returned the woman's belongs to her. The Genin chuckled a little at Hiroto's cheer, he was entertaining Reiji admitted. Reiji left his pace of walking next to Hiroto and moved so he was walking side by side with his sensei. "Say, Kyoko Sensei. Do you think you could teach me a genjutsu technique? I've always wanted to learn but it seems hard and I have no idea how to do it." Reiji was a jack-of-all-trades kind of guy, if he learned genjutsu techniques he would then know almost all the kind of main jutsu techniques. He would become a strong ninja and the leader of his clan in no time!

The Rise of a Violent Flame - One year in the past

It was a warm late morning and Ruri was, as always stuck at home doing endless amounts of homework give by her home tutors and one could easily guess she was already sick of the static life she was currently living. The window of her room was open right before her work desk and she could simply peer down at the streets adjacent to her household, envying those who didn't have to work but at the same time patronizing them for not being her. She wanted out, but couldn't find the motivation to do so as it would infuriate her impatient father in more than recommended proportions. She bit the eraser stuck on the end of her pencil and chewed on it like an anti-stress mechanism or a simple tic, hoping that she could make time pass after that way, after all lunch time was synonym of break time and eventually other things would occur during the afternoon that would distract her from her current obligations.

However it would only be when a familiar voice would be heard that her passive attitude would suddenly turn into an actively excited and motivated one, her head swiftly poking out of the window frame to check out what was passing-by, only to see the Hanamoto clan's heir and Ruri's buddy, Kanajiro. A grin of pure joy formed on her face as she grabbed a couple of items she fit in a pouch she was given recently before blatantly jumping out of the window. She hopped on the neighboring house's roof so she could follow the young boy a little, the boy who was walking along two other individuals whom Ruri could only guess were fellow clansmen by the diction he was employing. After a couple of roof switching, she decided it was finally time to spook him by dropping down and landing right in front of his face. That worked, almost, for everything went perfectly until she tried to control her position after the landing. She skills allowed her to fall off high distances and land without harm, but she was still prone to a few slip ups, and these happened to be one of them. She humorously slipped backwards on her behind while leaving Kanajiro completely adamant toward the ridicule of the situation.

"Ow damn it, uugh. Wow you really suck for a man if you're not going to help me get up."

She said in a very sassy and rather provocative manner. She liked to hit Kanajiro's masculinity, like any other man, but poking on his patience regarding that satisfied her more for some reason, perhaps it would be her search of empowerment over a gender she considers more imposing? It didn't really matter why she did it as most of her insults were unwarranted to begin with. She looked at Kanajiro who remained silent for another second, likely in a little pickle when it came to analyzing the situation. Ruri had never done such a stunt before, so it seemed a bit odd for him to see her do such a thing.

"Oh erm Ruri, are you okay?! What in the world is going on in that mind of yours?"

He asked as though he was worried but his tone gave it away, he was too used to seeing Ruri do ridiculous things and simply losing her grip a multiple games they would play together that he didn't really care anymore. He grabbed her hand and helped her back up, and upon doing so the young girl didn't waste one second and brushed off the dirt stuck on her posterior.

"As if some chicken shit clansman would understand my obviously transcendent motives. Anyway who are the two jerkwads?"

She asked, not even giving a look to the individuals next to Kanajiro as if she barely considered human beings to begin with. Kanajiro always noticed these bad tendencies of her's but never really bothered to correct her on that, likely because he knew it was futile but also deep in his mind he knew why she did this. He still sighed and paused a second, looking at the man on his right, then the one on his left before facing the sassy Ruri once more.

"This is Hat-.."

"On second thought, don't care. I want YOU to come with me to the park. I have something special to show you~"

After cutting Kanajiro at the start of his sentence, the end of her reply seemed a bit more provocative than before, as if she was implying something rather suspicious in nature. Kanajiro's eyebrow arched just slightly, too experienced with her to know this could lead to anything, but more often than naught he'd end up hurt somewhere, big or small. He rubbed the back of his head as he was in a tough situation: He'd either leave his fellow clansmen in favor of Ruri or join her and inevitably have her harass him for the rest of the day.

"You're really not giving me any breaks, are you? Alright, I'll be back in an hour or two."

Kanajiro waved his companions, dismissing them so he could devote some time to his friend. Ruri watched the two individuals go with a satisfied smirk on her face. She was happy that she had some privileges many couldn't compare to and that she could impose her will on certain people at any time she wanted. But she was wise enough to not force herself all the time on Kanajiro and only took initiatives when they presented themselves quite openly. As she turned her attention back to the Hanamoto boy, she grabbed his wrist and pulled him with her as she jogged through the linear street. He followed painfully behind at first since she didn't even warn before she starting running, but he ended up quickly coping with her speed. After five minutes, they hit a small park where trees were predominant in numbers over houses and barely anyone could see the two there.

"Okay, okay. Just stand back this may make your tiny mind go haywire just of how awesome this is."

She warned the boy who had his arms crossed at that point. He was slightly intrigued to find out what she was planning to do, was it going to be a random punch in the face? A super mega insult? Or was it something worth hiding from the public? Either way, his curiosity got him there as he awaited the result. He had taken a couple of steps back while Ruri had weaved two hand signs rather quickly before clapping both her hands together. They remained closed for about five seconds, a drop of sweat had time to start on her right temple and slide down to the level of her cheek, as she tried to concentrate something.

"What are you trying to do Ruri?"

"SHUT UP WAIT A SEC!"

She shouted as if Kanajiro had taken her favorite toy away before taking her focused expression once more. But after a couple of seconds, two flames formed over her back. They were two small fireballs that quickly merged and exploded into a pair of rather large winds for her figure, both being about twice as large as Ruri's silhouette. She appeared as some sort of flaming angel from where Kanajiro was, a creature not of this world. It was an interesting power and something he had not seen used that way before, but flames were obviously not so rare in the Hanamoto clan, which ended up leaving him a bit adamant toward this little show as much as he was with Ruri falling before him.

"That's pretty impressive Ruri, I did not know you've had the fire release as well as the earth release you've shown me before."

He said with a friendly smile on his face, he appeared to be happy for her and glad that she could progress, though one could only guess he would be bitter that she was able to use two elements before he could. That's what Ruri told herself, but she had an even better thing in mind to reply.

"Hah, fire? Me?! Sure I can do those eventually ... BUT! This isn't some poor man's fire release -giggle- But a rare Kekkei Genkai, my super Explosion release!"

She wailed without any hesitation just to rub it in Kanajiro's face. From what she knew, he couldn't do such things and she was confirmed by her tutors that she indeed possessed a superior chakra than the basic five elements that were commonly found in nature. She looked to smug when she talked with those wings on which made Kanajiro pout in disinterest when he heard the word Kekkei Genkai. He indeed still looked unimpressed, and he even seemed skeptical about all of this for Ruri was truly capable of joking around just to hit a man's ego.

"This looks like Fire release to me. How can this be any different from fire? They are flames under the form of wings."

He asked, wanting proof of her claims since he went all this way just to see this. Ruri's grin turned back into a smile, she was going to BLOW his mind with her new technique.

"Haha, I knew a complete bummer like you would ask this. You're going to see the extent of my ... Phoenix Ascension."

She said while looking at him before pausing for about a second. Kanajiro stood still, waiting for the big surprise, but before anything special would happen, Ruri would pull out another one of her ridiculous games on him.

"HeylosersaysWHAT."

As she said that mass of four words in a rather quick manner, her wings flexed and released explosion chakra to hurl the girl forward in exception speed, like she was some sort of rocket being compulsively ejected horizontally. The few steps of distance between them would make this surprise approach more than stunning for those unprepared. He fist ready, she was going to punch him in the gut as punishment for not paying attention while using that speed. At least he could witness the reason why this ability was explosion release and could feel the extent of its ability, literally.

||Shen||

'The morning sun stretched its reach above the horizon, slowly ascending until its golden touch vitalized everything it was cast upon. The winds were passive, a tranquil breeze every now and then caressed the leafy trees of Iwa's few forests. The whispering wilds hushed the sobs of men and women alike as they gathered around the fallen, but not even the elements could quell the overwhelming sorrow. Dark clouds threatened to end the sun's reign and droplets of rain infiltrated the otherwise bright domain of Iwagakure. As the pouring waters picked up, tears began streaming much more frequently, like steadily rising rapids. That was it - the rain gave everyone an excuse to cry. Submitting to the natural ebb and flow of nature, Iwa's citizens shared a peculiar oneness in their grief. Tears, raindrops? Who cared? They were all there because they were all aware: these two shinobi would not return from their journeys. A sort of symbolism explained why the rain brought forth more tears. A shinobi's death brought upon a break in the shinobi code, and as even the tsuchikage, the very icon of power, cried for the lost, men and women gathered and forgot who was what. There were no shinobi. There were no civillians. There were friends and family, fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters.

And Shen, watching from a distance, believing himself to be isolated from the bubble of feeling and emotion. He leaned against a tree, silent as night until the funeral ended. His mind was caught in a web of poetic daydreaming and pondering. He subconsciously questioned the purpose of shinobi, and then finally returned to the question he always found himself asking: why did emotions exist? He wasn't void of any reaction to the deaths; he did mourn the losses. He didn't exactly know who died, but they were shinobi who served Iwagakure. They were his family - no, more like lost cousins that he never had the chance to meet. When the funeral ended, Shen decided to walk up to their resting place, and maybe catch a glance at what the deceased shinobi looked like. He doubted he would recognize them, as he wasn't usually too worried about becoming acquainted with many people. However, the second the framed picture entered his vision, he froze, a lump forming in his throat. his eyes widened, and he wanted to scream but he couldn't.

Within the framed picture, locked in a nightmarish reminder of life's brevity, was a picture of Shen's mother.[/i]

Shen gasped, nearly falling out of the tree he had been resting in. What began as a flashback turned into a haunting daymare, strong enough to cause Shen to break into a sweat. 'Breathe..... breathe..... breathe.....' he thought to himself, instantly calming his nerve and relaxing his mind. He took a deep breath and looked at his surroundings. He was near the edge of a forest clearing, perched up on a large tree. He looked down at lap and noticed a small wrapped foil resting upon it. He unwrapped it and smiled. What he found was a long leaf of a unique plant found only in Iwagakure's forests. The leaf resembled a stretched out, long teardrop. He pinched it and rolled it into a really thin fiber before placing one end in his mouth and letting the entirety of the herb to hang out the corner of his mouth. He began chewing on the herb slowly, enjoying the sweet, refreshing taste while its herbal contents relaxed his body and mind.

After a good minute or two, Shen jumped off the branch he was resting on and landed on the ground with a nimble stop. He then looked at the shadows on the ground, and then back up at the sun. 'I'm late, damnit....' Sighing, he began walking off towards where he was supposed to meet his new teacher. The walk through the forest kept him at ease, and he preferred it to walking through the bustling streets of Iwagakure. Why needlessly get absorbed by the stress of the village when the forest offered a much more enriching path?

The marketplace was one of the loudest and most active locations in all of Iwagakure. Shen usually avoided it, but it was nice to visit every so often; it provided a good look at the state of the village. Were people happy? What was the current gossip? What's the talk of the town? It was Shen's way of tasting Iwa's culture whenever he felt too detached. Once Shen arrived at the location written in his message, he looked around. 'There's no way I'll be able to tell which one of these people is my sensei...' he thought to himself. 'Wonder what he or she's like.... Cool? Strong? Brave? Ambitous?' Shen smiled at his thoughts. He always imagined himself having a tough sensei who he could look up to - a role model of sorts. 'I guess I just wait...'

Suki Hanamoto

An hour after graduating ~~

“Congratulations on passing your exams, Suki.” Kanajiro smiled at her and tilted his head sideways a bit, bending through his knees a bit. In front of him, in his hands, laid a packaged present for Suki. For once, Suki seemed to smile back as she grabbed the present and unwrapped it, discovering a trench-knife styled kunai in it with the mark of the Hanamoto clan in it. She pushed her fingers through the holes and gripped the kunai tight, giving it a few practice swings and stabs. “Thank you, Kanajiro-sama, it's beautiful.”

Kanajiro waved her comment away as if it didn't matter before explaining how he got it. “It used to be mother's kunai, so please cherish it Suki-chan.” Her eyes widened a bit as she put the kunai away safely in her pouch, suddenly realizing that this had to have been one of the few things that remained from mother. She looked around the courtyard, which was surprisingly empty. Though, it was to be expected that nobody but Kanajiro cared for her graduation, she was Haha no Hanamoto after all. “Kanajiro-sama, when will I have to take the ceremony?” She looked sort of nervous, not fully realizing the traditions of the family. “Last I checked you were a girl, Suki. Girls don't take the ceremony, because men need to prove their worth. A woman will always have worth to the family in bearing children -- though I expect you prefer to be a shinobi.” She seemed somewhat more at ease, relaxing her shoulders and neck a bit more once she got the news. “Hai, Kanajiro-sama. I want to be a shinobi, definetely now. I was always bored with class, but not anymore. I know who my sensei will be, do you wish to know who, Kanajiro-sama?”

Kanajiro noted the difference in her voice compared to normal, when she always sounded tired and bored. But now, for once, she seemed to be looking forward to being a shinobi. Maybe mother had been the same when she was a child. He grinned at her for no obvious reason. “Yes, Suki-san. Let's hear it.” he said as he walked off, Suki following him closely before catching up fully and walking next to him through the estate gates. They were headed for the library, as Kanajiro had to pick up some research books for a project of his. Meanwhile, during the walk, Suki opened up a bit towards her big brother and started talking on her own accord. “I got a card from my new sensei already, congratulating me. It even had a bag of bonbons attached, so I think she will be nice to me. Her name is Kaedai Hyuga, and people say she escaped from Konoha. I wonder if dad knows her, you think?”

Kanajiro thought back to their father, who was living in a grand palace in the land of Fire. “Yeah, I think so. If she escaped, that makes her his problem as well. However I didn't know Iwagakure had Hyuga refugees. Pretty cool sensei you have. I'm stuck with some lame Granite Guard. They all think that they are pretty tough. Wait until they see you in a few years.. you'll kick their ass, Suki.” He grinned as he said so but he meant every word of it -- the Granite Guard were pretty stuck up mostly. There were only two or three of them that didn't think they were all powerful. But Kanajiro had seen some of them parading around -- Xavi, Kyoko, Yuga.. they all seemed to think themselves the ultimate shinobi. But Kanajiro would ensure that the Hanamoto clan would become better than that -- powerful and humble.

“You're probably right, Kanajiro-sama. I mean, she's probably cool.. I'm not sure if I can ever take on Granite Guards like you will be. Is it true that the Hanamoto fighting style is inspired by the Hyuga?” Kanajiro saw the library coming into sight, and put an arm behind his head. He scratched the back of his head thinking of an answer. “Yeah, I guess you can say that. We took their style of harming someone without hitting them. We cannot cut off someones' tenketsu. But our fire can burn someone without hitting them. And in another way, we use a mixture of simple knuckle-hard fighting and more subtle styles, using open hands, palm strikes and pivoting on ones place. In short.. we like to rush into battle and start hand-to-hand combat, but you'll often find people switching to stance fighting, preferring to stay close to the enemy. Like so.”

As a manner of a joking way of showing her what he meant, he stepped out in front of her suddenly facing her, grabbed her arm and extended it with force, sending a palmstrike towards her elbow mimicking the breaking of it, before shoving her back with his opened palm and following her, extending his foot forwards in between her feet and stopping his hand inches from her face, knuckles almost touching her. He straightened himself again and put a hand on her hand, shoving her forwards towards the library again as he walked aside her. She seemed taken aback a bit, but quickly got back to normal. “Kanajiro-sama, why are we going to the library anyway?” she said as they entered, but Kanajiro didn't answer and instead just went and got the books, telling her to stay put. She leaned against the wall and almost fell asleep. Kanajiro was gone for like.. 20 minutes. “Wonder what he's getting..” she mumbled, her eyes already closed. But right then, he appeared in front of her with a pile of about 10 books, all related to 'teaching effectively.' Such a strange selection of books for a student. Ah well.. Suki got up again and walked home with her brother after this long day. Finally she was a genin like Kanajiro and Daisuke.

Daisuke Hanamoto

When their new sensei arrived, Daisuke gave a slight laugh, forcing it through his teeth. The guy probably just doesn't want to put in the work for two students. Honestly, I wouldn't either. A singular apprentice may be able to soak up a lot more experience. As the conditions crossed his mind, Daisuke built onto his theory of the educator's alleged laziness. Five Minutes? If he wanted skill he'd say two. He probably either is too impatient or just wants a show. Smirking, he thought to himself, If he wants a show, he's gonna get one. I am the perfect guy for the job. Fortunately he'd been scoping out the competition, because she struck before any indication of a start was given.

"Someone's excited!" Daisuke performed a backflip as Ruri's shuriken left her hand, instantly putting distance between the two of them and passing beneath her underhanded attack. Note to self: Never trust Ruri with my stuff. Daisuke finished his tumble with a three-point stance, the tips of both feet and his left hand. With his right, he drew his own shuriken, tossing it seemingly carelessly, but in reality a thin string connected to Daisuke's hand gave him all the control he'd need. He stood up and outstretched his hand, leading the star-shaped blade back toward Ruri.

"There's one thing I hate more than a brat with a hot temper! Oh wait--no there isn't! Daisuke eyed her kunai, a paper bomb coated it. He'd just have to be sure to run her out of steam. All while he'd keep his cool. The less effort he seemed to put in and more suckerpunches, the better he'd look. In all honesty, the teasing wasn't for the sensei to like him, it was for fun. But, playing with a girl's emotions was a time-tested way to keep her off-balance. "I swear, I don't have a clue what Kanijiro sees in you!"

The She-wolf attempted a blitzing bite to Kyou, she dodged her assault by chakra jumping in mid air and performed the clone jutsu. Three clones are summoned, each of the clone, compressed quickly to perform an acrobatic stunt, to propel the real Kyou. This ring is for the real Kyou, it is meant for her to execute a higher jump to grab the sword she stuck earlier. Kyou stepped on her clones hands and gets propelled and at the same time her clones disappear. She states to herself that this is her plan. "She transformed into a werewolf. I have to avoid her at close quarter combat or else I might be in a pinch." Kyou chakra climbed all the way to her sword and used her right foot to step on it. Beasts like that can be categorized into two. One, it is either she is a berserk beast with no mind or two, she is able to think and can fight accordingly. If it's the latter, it will be very dangerous. In order to beat something like that, I have to propel myself in high velocities and then I'll use that technique. With the right execution of speed, I can win this!" She musters her chakra onto the blade and propelled herself with a chakra jump once more, descending right to her opponent, the sword stuck on her feet determines one of her tentative outcome. Another clone jutsu is summoned as the clone grabbed the sword from her foot. Kyou throws 2 smoke bombs and then comes in with a slash on the she-wolf. TAKE THIS! That is the real Kyou in a sense of a sword while the Kyou clone from another direction throws a barrage of shurikens.

While all of the action is happening with Kyou, Ayumi is also receiving the equivalent action; these fights are happening at the same time. Goga threw an explosive kunai to her, with barely enough time to react, she quickly turned herself into a liquid state. Even though Ayumi escaped that explosion, she is as of now, received minor scratches from it. "That hurt really bad, if it wasn't for my hydrification I would have been blown to smithereens! She panted, feeling her depleted chakra. Then she turned to Kyou's location and headed there.

Ria Tsurara
Funeral

A girl clad in a revealing outfit(a bikini) is standing in front of the fallen ninjas, in their graves, she mourned however; there are certain tombs she visits and offers a bouquet of roses, an arrow, a teddy bear, and a shirt. She mourns little for them, little did she shed a tear instead; she speaks. "Life and death is only natural. It is only true and natural for you to die rather than live seeing yourselves in torment. Panicking leads to an early grave. The strong survive and the weak die..... But then again weak as stone, a granite that is tarnished is not worthy of honor thus the death received is pathetic. You had been useful and I will remember your names.. or will I? That is for me, Ria Tsurara, the number one to find out. She walks away with an insult and further walks away. Out of the way, she continues to walk fast and finally she stops. The center of Iwagakure.

Yuga sure doesn't know his schedule. Oh well, I guess being his only student...... Ria uses no honorifics to her sensei, this also applies to people superior to her and even her peers.

Ruri Zuodian

Ruri's brow rose upon seeing the boy's reaction. The dodging was perfectly normal of course, she didn't expect him to actually get hit on the first go, but his lack of competence in Shuriken throwing was rather disconcerting. With her kunai in one hand, she simply swiped the one that got closer to her with the blade, causing it to crash diagonally downwards while the other one went simply past her. This was easy, and she didn't expect too much from a low level clan member of the Hanamoto (anything that isn't the heir is low level). As she was about to mock the boy in return, she could hear the air grazing shuriken spin nearby as if it were getting louder very quickly. This caused her to turn her head just slightly, only to realize one of them was coming back like some unconventional boomerang. Reflexes came in action from there, making her move her head on time, resulting in only her cheek getting a clean yet superficial cut. The shuriken was hurling back at Daisuke and with that dodge she could easily face him if he were to attempt something while she took the quick peek.

"Freaking peasant. Using crap tools to get me. You're the typical downgrade of Kanajiro huh?"

Her kunai was also held up in a more defensive stance, her right foot stepping on the derived shuriken from earlier. Her second hand held made a small and quick gesture, causing a paper bomb to slide down on her palm. But the side facing the palm was the seal, and the side facing the exterior was the adhesive white portion used to trap those who tried to go frontal with her as it barely looked like anything other than some bland white paper from anyone else's perspective. There was no need to use chakra in this case, nor was there any urgency to get all gimmicky and show off all of her little tricks quite yet. She had time to break his leg and render her as effective as fish out of the water.
