I think Jeanne wins because of years of practice / experience / dedication / often fighting other Devil Slayers as a result of said Slayers, having an advantage. That and they're probably equal (roughly) in power.

Jeanne's magic is unique. Noone has full experience fighting against it to its truest lengths.

When levels of strength / speed / ability are equal, experience wins.
