Brian Robinson

Brian put on his windbreaker and his headlamp. As he unlocked the door he heard a man shouting outside from the other side of the building and a few floors below. Something about how he was going to kill 'them' all. Brian hoped that the shouter meant the zombies, not the residents. As an afterthought, he went back into the hall closet and retrieved the machete his wife used when re-potting plants. It was in its sheathe on a lanyard. Inspecting the blade he muttered "Thank god Karen's not here in this mess." before slinging it over his shoulder and stepping into the hallway, locking his door behind him. He sweeps the hallway with his headlamp, looking out for others.

Why would you use a machete to re-pot a plant????

And hmm seems like you two are going to be a floor above us afterall.

Just when Austin was going to meet somebody new...

Austin and Sylvia live on the 5th floor though. I guess Brian and Caleb are neighbors.

Wait, so who is actually on the fourth floor then? (I feel like we need a map)

When you move a plant to a bigger pot you need something to help trim the roots to encourage them to grow outwards in the new pot. Otherwise the root ball will not spread out into the new pot and remain impacted. Also certain plants like orchids can be split into two plants, which also requires cutting them. There are plenty of other things you can do gardening wise with a machete as well.

Edited it in. It's a kind of bad map since you can't easily show people on stairs.
Also, just quote my "map" and update it yourself if you have something to add. And probably put it in a spoiler, it takes up a lot of space.

@Rare
This is my understanding of the sequence of events:
Most everybody made it to at least the second floor. Nicholas and Wright have barricaded the stairwell to the lobby. The infected are making it through in small groups, allowing the two to clear them out easily.

In the meantime Sylvia and Austin tried to make it into an apartment where some guy had barricaded them selves in. The guy tried escaping out of the window in a rope and one of them cut it. Also they killed an infected NPC and pushed the body out the window.

Two more characters, my character Brian Robinson and Paingodsson's Caleb Idlett have introduced themselves to the game and are hanging out on the 5th floor.

Additionally Symphoni had to drop out, so her character is now dead.

We are also trying to set up a system where we keep a running map of where every character in the apartment is just to help others keep track of it. Lone Wanderer is taking care of that.

@Rare

Austin and Sylvia found an infected and killed him. Also killed a human on the fourth floor that threatened to kill them. (He might not be dead.)

Lucy Collins got her face eaten. Nicholas killed most of the zombies coming up. (Go him!)

There are possibly infected NPCs on the seventh floor landing.

Some PCs are going around. Some are in apartments, some aren't.

We should really make a barricade.

Also, there is too much people. Don't you all think?

If one important person would to disappear, then it would kill the roleplay.

I think that we should stop accepting people until we need to.

EDIT: I have been roleplaying for about two years, that is often the cause of a roleplay's death.

If you mean we are reliant on the GM, then of course we are. He controls all of our NPCs and is the mastermind behind everything. We can't and shouldn't change that, unless Dungeon Blaster chooses a co-GM to help him when he is absent.

I like the amount of people though, it livens things up.
RPs usually die when there aren't enough people

Correct me if I am wrong but, the loose end (infected NPC) has been 'handled' as mentioned earlier when dungeon assumed that ArenaSnow killed him. So technically, there isn't really infected people on the 7th floor - unless another zombie somehow crawled out from their apartments and attacked them when they are making their way up.

Also, woow O.O Your characters are pretty psychotic @Mattie_ and @IceSolstice. They need professional help *laughs* XD

@orangebox

Sylvia isn't exactly psychotic. She views it as protecting her dear friend. And infected eventually turn into zombies--so it couldn't be helped from her point of view. The man needed to go otherwise he would threaten everyone else. Her emotional stability is a bit wonky though, I'll admit that.

I'm referring to the fact that it didn't take much psychological difficulties in offing a man's life - irregardless if he was going to live or not.

This is usually the psychological highlight of any zombie flick - because it actually takes a mental strain to those that are accustomed to the modern society when taking the life of a random person. That's pretty psychotic if you think about it (the lack of empathy and excessive self-preservation when said person committing the deed is not in the verge of death), unless they have been doing it for a very long while, considerably desensitized.

It is as if your characters are extremely methodical and cold, a trait seen very often in assassins/psychotic killers (not that I know of any really, based my assumptions on the run-of-the-mill assassins/psycho killer off pop culture portrayals lol), then flick back into normality as if it wasn't a big deal. (tbh what creeped me most was after offing a man still in his blood, the characters cuddled XD)

I would understand if the person turned, or has allowed it to happen. Even in latter cases as portrayed in zombie flicks - people were still squeamish about completing the act, even when the infected willingly offered to be offed in case they turn.

Gosh, I hope you get what I'm trying to say XD Words all jumbled up in the morning...

(edited several times cause I was afraid that I couldn't properly explain what I was trying to say lolol My command of English is kinda bad in the morning :X)
