What have you done exactly? Other than move the ships, closer together with the wire twisting and then moving the Sundancer out of the gravity hole, which would pull us towards them still.

Um... That would mean both ships would have to stop, mid fall, and start to collide with each other. Like completely stop. And if somehow your Ashan could pull two gigantic ships towards each other, against the force or real gravity, what stops him from flying into the gravity point?

What I believe transpired was that he created a black hole between both ships, and then dispersed that one, and created another one to drag the Sundancer away from the original ship. I believe the intent was to either snap or loosen the tethers the Hunters had on Sundancer.

Of course, I'm just guessing.

I thought gravity point had a small radius? The ships are relatively far away, about a kilometer, so I'm not quite sure how Gravity Point is accomplishing the monumental movements described in the post. I mean, arguably, it could be moving the chains closer to the point you chose but, again, with the small radius it wouldn't have that much of an effect on these hulking Skyships which are a good distance apart. Certainly it wouldn't make them almost plummet into each other if my reading of the description of your spell on the CS is correct.

Using Anima Overflow, the level of Gravity Point rises to 5 meaning it's way more powerful than before. Also, I was assuming the ships wouldn't be too far apart because they were in close enough range to launch grappling hooks comfortably and you typically only do that if you're sure that your men can climb over to the other ship in fast enough to not get shot off.

What I tried to do was to create a point of gravity in between the two ships just large enough to pull them into it (as in it only covers maybe a quarter of their ships) to pull the Sundancer up and the Hunter downwards towards the halfway point on @Stormlight3's map. Then realizing they would collide, I had Gaon create a point to pull the Sundancer away from collision and essentially the ships are kinda reversed now but closer.

@Desire I'll edit him moving out of the radius probably

Aye, except we only launched the Harpoons(important distinction, harpoons have far greater range) to make sure the Sundancer couldn't escape, not really concerned about getting shot at. I'll be honest, I think that Anima Overflow ability is a tad overpowered.

Well I still doubt that harpoons would reach a whole kilometer, apparently normal hand spearguns reach about 3-4m, I would think ship boarding harpoons would still only reach 30-40m max.

Still, I kinda do think Anima Overflow is broke too. Basically means any level 2 spell for me may as well be maxed out.

Maybe I should limit it to 5 posts per day or couple of days, who knows.

If you've ever walked or ran a kilometre, you know anything that moves at less than near bullet velocity probably wouldn't reach a kilometre. Even bullets drop off over a kilometre, and they move at the speed of sound. Harpoons would need more velocity because they're heavier and if they had that kind of force I think there would've been a lot more damage to the Sundancer.

The Harpoon Rifle above has an effective firing range of 300 meters. That means it's able to sink into whale/seal meat that's 300 meters away. Note that it was made almost 100 years ago, and we're talking about Sci-Fi Harpoon Guns. I think it could be done. Especially in a world where there's vibroswords, hoverbikes, flying pirate ships, and of course magic.

@RoflsMazoy It's an airship. From the future. I don't want to argue. If you want to try to explain something, it's your black hole and super emp capabilities. And somehow keeping on the deck at a relative pace while you're flying. Then bringing to massive ships together, that weigh several tons, stopping mid-fall while one is still using its engine to fly away, with just magic. Sorry, but you aren't Luke Skywalker. If you have any problems, please take it up with the GM.
