To be fair, using a small magnetic field to disable a circuit only lasts a few minutes plus it can be reset in a mayter of moments... *fingers crossed*

The Medicae does not look like your Inquisitor. That was just coincidence of timing. This is your training mission of a sorts. You know your Inquisitor is probably watching, but he's not going to get involved as this up to you to prove yourselves.
