If the distance between the forest and the city is 30 spaces (the hill being about 25-26) Gabranth and the woman are now 23 and the Risen 25. The risen are on the heels of the two, but they are still a ways from the city.

When your party approached earlier, you were about 12 spaces for the first shot 8 for the second. As far as the range of weapons are concerned, spells can effect out to about 10 (albeit with reduced accuracy) and bows 15-20(short and longbows respectfully) You can expect an unmounted biped to be able to cover about 4 spaces an action, and mounted 10-12.

Uhm... who'd I have enough action to get to the group that is nearest of the risen and offer a lift so they could move backwards a bit more towards the walls? I am doing my post but I am kinda sleepy atm and am trying to figure out how to make this work.

Edit: nvm... I think I got it up, might check in 15 minutes if edit needed. I hope this works.

How should we do Jo-Anne's stones? Should they be actions when she uses it? Should we do free action but limited uses? Or should we do just do free actions since her whole class is set around using the stone and there's not likely going to be any replacements in Ivalice?

No replacements in Ivalice, but your luck might effect finding some on other Ylissian caravans, or on Risen and Bandits from ylisse. But since it's part of your loadout, using the beast stone is a free action in relation to making an attack.

I'm well aware of that, but it's not like my character would be. I was just noting how it's slightly unusual, that's all.

I have a suggestion and a few questions. Since roleplays don't always last long because people lose interest, for leveling up I suggest to decrease it from 100, but make it require more every level. (You know, like every game that ever used a level system.) For my questions, How often are our characters going to gain skills? How much is the stat increase every level up? How will they be able to change job classes? Can they carry over all skills to each new class? Can weapons be upgraded and/or forged?

This combat will likely see everyone level at least once, and the needed XP will raise, but mobs will provide more xp. I thank you for the suggestion though. And as for you question: you'll be given 15 points every character level to increase your stats. You can spend 5 of those points to buy a new personal trait, and it costs 1 point increase your base stats. At every job level, you unlock a new ability for your class (or you can exchange it for 5 more Stat points).

Basic classes can be switched to whenever the character has a chance to train with another of that class (squires, warriors, etc) and just list that you've changed under your post. Personal skills will tranfer, but class skills will only carry over to advancements of that class (a squire to a knight as example) but will be lost if you change to an unlike job (knight to mage).

Weapons can be forged/purchased from towns when out combat. I've been thinking of implementing a currency system, but have been hesitant to do so, where as relying on luck to act as "do you happen to have picked up enough in your travels", but Evans seems to not care for that so... *shrugs*

I know this is not perfect, and as such, I'm trying to think of ways I can change it for the better. Feel free to bring the questions and suggestions coming
