Physical Description: Gerald is 5'8 with a slimmer-than-average build. He has a long face with his narrow brown eyes too close together, and all his facial features seem to be too low on his face, leaving a large forehead. He attempts to cover this with his wavy brown hair that he wears slightly brushed forward in an Ivy League cut. His mouth is very wide and he has a rather large chin, giving him a gangly, almost comical appearance. Despite his awkward full-face appearance, his profile is strangely handsome in a non-traditional way.

Gerald and Chester rarely wear formal attire, but they both rented suits for the occasion. Gerald's suit is a dark grey and the fit is a tiny bit big on him. The clerk at the men's formal store assured him that tighter-fitting suits were all the rage this year, but he emphatically declined such a style and went for something a bit more old-fashioned, much to the clerk's annoyance.

Personality: Gerald is as sarcastic as they come, impatient as a 3-year-old child, and takes delight in watching others, especially Chester, fail. He is known for his cackling laugh, which erupts from his mouth more than is probably socially acceptable. He likes to think of himself as a rather charismatic smooth-talker, but he is usually just lucky, or people just take delight in his wisecracks. In truth, both he and Chester are not really the sharpest tools in the shed and are decidedly immature.

As for his good points, Gerald is confident (bordering on cocky) and fairly brave, at least compared to Ches…which isn't saying much. He tries to be helpful, but he is often condescending without meaning to be. As for all his sarcasm and general jerkery, he does generally mean it in a good-natured way. It's the only thing he knows.

History: Ah, what can we say about Gerald? He grew up in the small Maryland town of Pocomoke City and was quite the terror of Pocomoke Elementary...and Middle and High. He wasn't a bully or mean-spirited in any way, but he had an impeccable ability to get into any and every kind of trouble. Many times, he willingly sought trouble, but other times trouble found him. He was always the awkward boy who was oddly admired by many other the other boys for his confidence and indifference. This is how he got to know Chester in the first grade, and the two have been friends ever since. Gerald often dragged Ches into his hare-brained schemes, but the latter was either very willing to be dragged or was completely ignorant of Gerald's intentions. Most of the times it was a little of both.

Miraculously, the two sat still long enough to earn Associates degrees in automotive tech, and got jobs as mechanics in a local shop. The shop is popular with the locals, and the boys, despite their general appearance of being idiots with Peter Pan syndrome, are surprisingly good at their jobs. They do strive to be completely honest with their customers and often give discounts, and subsequently they have gained quite a bit of notoriety within the community. New folks are always coming in from recommendations from a friend, and, true to small-town hospitality, their loyal customers often bring them tokens of appreciation. Mostly these tokens are homemade treats and trinkets, but recently a particularly quirky gentleman thanked them by giving them an unnecessarily fancy-looking envelope with an invitation to a fancy dress party inside. They both found the gesture odd, since this particular client was fairly new and Ches was sure he accidentally chipped the hood of the old gentleman's Cadillac.

Still, the two were excited by the prospect of a road trip and being invited to something so swanky. Neither of them particularly cared about the "high life," and certainly did not own the proper attire to even be accepted into it, but they were overwhelmingly curious. So, determined, they boys scampered off to a men's formalwear shop, rented some suits, packed Gerald's '77 AMC Pacer (on which he was incredibly excited about having finished the restoration), and hit the road.

Other: Gerald has a orotund and sonorous voice. Gerald and Chester are best bros, even though it may not seem like it at times to the casual observer. They are constantly at each others' throats with insults, but they're really just goofballs taking good-natured jibing too far.

Name: Chester "Ches" Garrett

Companion: Gerald Neil Calhoun

Physical Description: Chester is about 5'11" with an average build. Despite his age, he has a rather fleshy, youthful face with pronounced lips and heavy-lidded hazel eyes that slope downwards, giving him a constant look of calm cheerfulness. His thick brown hair is cut short in an Ivy League cut, but is far less wavy than Gerald's.

Ches also rented a suit for this occasion, one lighter grey in color and of a better, more modern fit. His dark grey tie is not as neat as Gerald's, as the man never really got the hang of the correct knots to use (they both learned at the shop when they rented the suits), and Gerald refused to help him with it.

Personality: Ches is the less intelligent of these two knuckleheads, but not by a large amount. His talent, and in fact favorite pastime, is coming up with idiotic insults, some of which he may genuinely think are zingers until Gerald calls him out on them. Ches is also a well-known coward and is particularly unobservant.

Ches's best quality is his genuine good nature. He loves insulting and being a jerk as much as Gerald, but he's not as much of a troll.

History:
Chester grew up in little Pocomoke City, Maryland. He was your average kid, though maybe a bit slower than most, but really he just got distracted by anything an everything related to cars. He was destined to become a mechanic, everyone told him. It was one day in first grade (an infamous day!) when he met a gangly-looking troublemaker named Gerald and the two really hit it off. Physical Description: A tall, fairly thin young man, Garen has sharp, intelligent eyes are a slightly yellowish green, while his face is narrow and pointed. He has deep brown hair, cut short but messy, and wears a simple black tuxedo with cobalt blue bowtie

Personality: Very polite but informal, Garen is less inclined towards the darker side of humanity than many of his contemporaries, instead enjoying playing with the positive emotions within his writings to instill a sense of wrongness or fear. In spite of his skill playing with the emotions of his readers, he is quite a poor conversationalist, becoming easily withdrawn into his own thought and sometimes seeming to entirely drift off into some other plane of thought. Some tabloid magazines report that he is being tested for some mental illness, though the accuracy of these claims remains unknown

History: Born into an ordinary family, Garen always loved books, particularly his mothers collection of classic horror, psychological and occult tales inspired him but it was in the atypical, the postmodern and scientific creations that truly brought made him want to write. During his early childhood he spent much time with his similarly aged cousins, but the four drifted apart over the years, except himself and Agrus who continued to keep contact throughout high-school . Garen wrote his first published book, an occult horror novel set in the near future, that rapidly spiraled into list of best selling books across the spectrum, with his crowning moment being the most recent publication, a tale of a man trapped in a paradise world that is slowly collapsing around him. His invitation arrived in the mail, in an envelope from his publisher, research into the name on the invitation led him to find the Acheson name is the primary stockholder for his publisher.

Name: Agrus Grau

Companion: Garen Waldgrun

Physical Description: short and extremely wiry, Agrus has blood red hair, it is naturally quite curly but he prefers to keep it in dreadlocks, disliking the default state. He has piercing green eyes with a somewhat predatory look to them, wearing black slacks and a white button down shirt with a dark brown vest.

Personality: Somewhat notorious for his bad attitude, Agrus has a reputation in his usual circle as remaining eerily calm even in the midst of heated arguments, and at times almost emotionless during a fight. In spite of this, he is quite outgoing and sociable, able to play nice quite well in formal events, although he makes it quite obvious when he is angry, betraying his mood through body language more than words or actions.

History: Part of an average family, Agrus had a bad habit of getting into fist fights even as an adolescent, never coming home with so much as a bruise due to his natural agility, he spent much of his free time with his three cousins, particularly Garen who he considers his best friend. As the four become older, two of them had to move away, though Garen and Agrus remained in proximity throughout high-school, it was senior year that he was recruited from a local MMA club by a major promoter, rising in the ranks and holding the featherweight title for nearly a decade before deciding to retire from the sport while he was ahead. Having saved most of his prize money by living in humble accommodations he has just enough money put away to live comfortably for years to come. Recently, Agrus received a call from his cousin Garen, now a well known author, inviting him to attend as his plus one to a fairly exclusive event. Never one to avoid the limelight, he accepted.
