Eh, Bioshock...it's a nice quote, but ultimately the series has turned into "Why centralism is the only option / Why the horseshoe horseshit theory is true, probably".

I mean, I enjoy the characters and sci-fi concepts they employ, but I'm never going to forgive them for how the presented the Vox Populi in Bioshock: Infinite. Like, why set up the most reactionary, racist, classist, theocratic regime you could think of, but then make the anarchists revolting against the regime the bad guys?!

You never did mention if your PC's apartment was within the same building as Racheli and Justine... Both are in Sherman's square.

Well, I don't view Bioshock Columbia Infinite to be in the same class as the first two. Rapture forevah.

Oh I agree 100% that twist at the end was a pretty huge mindscrew, probably on par with the twist in Knights of the Old Republic. Not only that, but the story and characters overall were phenomenal. Still, to me at least, that doesn't change the fact that they were blatantly pushing the horseshit theory. I mean, Booker already distrusts the Vox when he first meets them because...why? They're revolutionaries fighting against a racist theocracy, why the hell would you distrust them? Oh yeah, that's right, Booker worked for the Pinkertons, of course he would distrust them for no reason.

Well, to be fair to poor lil' horseshoe theory, there is one valid point. Everyone's political views overlap at one point or another, and that's what gets shit done in countries of today, people agreeing on the least offensive option. (And the horseshoe theory is just that; a theory. It's on paper only, it has yet to manifest; like black holes, there's some sliver of evidence they exist, yet people extrapolate from there.)

((Though black holes are infinitely cooler than political/ethical theory.))

I think I get why most people are deeply offended by the horseshoe theory. People view their political views as the 'morally right' way of doing things, and are offended when they are associated with their 'mortal enemies' or polar opposites.

(Note: Me trying to be objective here, emphasis on trying. I agree with you totally, Space. Even if you are a filthy pinko left-wing Marxis-)
