Greetings fellow roleplayers, glad that you decided to take a peak at what I'm writing here. As of lately I have been intrigued by the murders known as the "Whitechapel murders" committed by the person famously called "Jack the Ripper"; how these murders were done, the public response to the murders of these prostitutes who normally received so little attention, and the mysteries surrounding the man (or woman) who's identity is still unknown after more than a century. What happened to "Jack" after Mary Jane Kelly? Did he stop because he had achieved some sort of goal, did he move on to new hunting grounds outside of Great Britain, or did death finally catch up with him?

Nothing of this we truly know, but we can all speculate. And out of this I'd love to try to create a roleplay with a decent group of people, you guys! It could be about a group of policemen, private investigators or everyday-people caught up in the madness of murder, trying to find out who this murder is and stop him before he strike again. Or it could be about putting the pieces of evidence together to find a much sinister, darker and terrible truth about the murders, secret societies or even cults planning for evil deeds. Maybe people in America investigating the possible theory of "Jack the Ripper" continuing his work across the Atlantic?

Okay, enough of me rambling about this. I've already read and watched enough about this than is healthy for one man. Who knows, maybe by the end of this I'll go nuts and become the murderer himself? :O Anyhow, welcome to my interesting check, I do hope you will find this interesting!

Good to finally have some interest here! I'd recommend watching a documentary or two on him(or is it a her? We may never know) on Youtube, they're not too long. But welcome aboard!

Precisely. Due to the normal peoples massive interest in trying to solve the murders for themselves, they become the suspects for the Police. If that makes sense....

Some characters could also have personal stakes in the murders, like having had loved ones become victims for example.

Working on that, it would be interesting if one of their loved ones was actually murdered by Jack the Ripper, but Scotland Yard refuses to believe it or doesn't find the evidence to conclude that.

Again, I'm happy that you all have taken interest in this. I guess I can start working on the OOC now then?

1. Sure, just keep it reasonable which I'm sure you will ;) 2. Yes, as stated in the character sheet-sample(thingy-whatever people call it!). The year is 1888, the year the Whitechapel Murders began.
