Hmmm, I think it should be kept secret between the parties that are involved. That way, it's a surprise for both the characters and the authors.

@Silent Observer I also vote for only letting the two authors in charge of the secret couple know. It gives it a mystery and surprise factor. I also like the idea of letting them know from the start so they have time to work things out and start shaping their circumstances for it.
