Divus, a simple yet beautiful world split into six separate continents ruled buy six separate lords. The six continents are called Batillus (Fire), Nymphe(Water), Tellus (Earth), Zephyru (Wind), Tenebra (Darkness), and Lucerna(Light); each named for one of the six elements that the people have mastery over, not to say that those who live on these continents cannot master other magics. The six continents form what appears to be a ring around a single barren island the size of the present day Alaska where legend says the Dark Lord and his companion lay in an enchanted slumber cast upon him buy the Six Sages. One Sage from each continent was meant to be trained as the years passed in the event the Dark Lord should awaken, yet as years turned into Centuries and Centuries into Millennia, the practice slowly died out. Those that showed exceptional power with the elements were taken in to schools to train and become strong warriors, but nothing more.

Each Continent is dominated by a different race, though other races do live within the main populace. Those among the magical races are Elves (Tellus), Demons (Tenebra), Humans (Lucerna), Shifter (Zephyru), Nymphs (Nymphe), and Lycanthropes (Batillus). Among the non-elemental based magic races reside the Centaur, Dwarves, Half- Orcs, Gnomes, Harpies, Minotaurs, Vampires, Gnolls, Trolls and the Halflings. The eleven non-elementals live on the continents with the six main races, though it is not always a peaceful co-existence for some races wish to see the Dark Lord rise. Now, nearly 5 millennia since the Dark Lord was sealed, those races may get their wish.

A disturbance has occurred within the middle island, the very thing that those who remembered the legends have feared. Each school has set forth their top student, one who is strong in their main focus, yet a master of all six, in hopes of being able to seal the Dark Lord before he awakens once more, casting shadows across their beloved world.

The School where the six Sages must train is located on the continent of Tenebra, within ēna Kristāla City, the capital of the Continent. This is where the story begins, but where it goes from here is completely up to those that the people of Divus now depend on. Each Sage has a stone representing their element that is embedded within the weapon of their choice and if they have no weapon, it was fashioned into a piece of jewelry they never remove.

Ok... so I have noticed I am a butt and I need to reiterate a few things:

.. please... no child characters. I cannot, for the life.of me, go through this story arch with child characters. 18 Is the youngest I will accept. Main races are ones to the element from their continent. they can utilize the other elements but none as strongly as the one from the continent they were born on and naturally the opposite element tends to be a pain for them To learn.

So... guidelines:

1. No younger than 18
2. Your primary element must be from the continent our race hails.from
3. Have a back up character because I have 3 of my originals stepping forward and I would hat to have people pushed out of the race
4. ABSOLUTELY NO IMMORTAL PLAYERS

I'll join, why not? A few things I'd like clarification on, though:

1. Yes, they can use all 6 elements however, the Sage is most powerful in their birth Element
2. The utilization of the power is up to the individual, the use of magic is based of off the individuals willpower... for example, it could be based off of someone's urge to protect someone they care about. The stronger the urge/need, the more powerful the spell.

OK! For those of you who have expressed interest so far... if at all possible I would like you to chose 2 elements to create a Character for, unless you have your heart set on 1, which is fine. Wind is currently taken, so we are down to 5 Slots, maybe 4 as someone who was with the original has expressed interest in joining back up.

Name: Caenum Clarity (thx elemental name generator lol) ((also alliteration))
Race: Nymph (because I'm lazy to look through the others, I picked a common race)
Age: (How does he/she look like in human years and how old is he/she really) Looks can change, though in his typical form he appears 12, though he is really 9. (therefore paedophiles are his worst enemy)
Gender: Male
Height: 147cm (thanks integer randomizer lol)
Weight: 38.8kg (based on my real weight lol)
Continent: Nymphe

Personality: Caelum tends goes with the flow(pun in first sentence, first line), being a carefree and 'happy-go-lucky' kind of nymph. He doesn't care about a lot of things, and instead opts to go with whoever will benefit him the most in the long term. Caelum is intelligent in securing a promising future, as well as creating tactics for success. Whoever gets in Caelum's way will have a hard time against the master strategist and his many capabilities. Caelum his trusting, however this leads to him being gullible despite his apparent intelligence. Caelum acts aloof despite having many fears and being innocent, resulting in him not having many close friends who know of his true self. Caelum is easily bored, and not many things catch his interest, and therefore he has a short attention span.
History:
Caelum lived a typical Nymph life in Nymphe, doing well in school, having fun, studying, though not long ago, when reports of the Demon King started spreading around the Nymphe continent, the leaders of Nymphe started panicking since the new Sage had yet to be found. Surprise, surprise, the newest Sage in Nymphe was young Caelum, however unaware he was of his future. Despite all his protests against going to fight the Demon King, such as "I'm not going to kill or seal or whatever this stupid 'King' thing," he was forced into quick, 'compact' training by the best masters from all over Nymphe. However, Caelum was aloof throughout his training, making him a difficult student and eventually many of his teachers desired to quit, though they were not allowed to.

A particularly enthusiastic teacher, though not a particularly good one, spoke to Caelum one day after his training. "Caelum, I want you to beat the Demon King and save everyone," the master told his student Caelum. Though it was intended to be a pep talk, and it worked, it didn't work in the intended sense. Caelum decided he wouldn't want to be like the teacher, relying on others for help when a time of need came. He would be a good fighter, and beat the Demon King. Plus, he would probably get really rich and have the gratitude of everyone, therefore it was a good deal.

Caelum trained, and, eventually, unlocked his inner potential, as cliche as it sounded. He was ready, and he was sent off to meet the others. To tell the truth, he was already bored.

Weapon: Pressurized water (coming from either his body or water around him)
Pet: Gurgle the Perverted Octopus
Powers: (Don’t go overboard, I will revoke if I have to)
Strengths: (No more than 3)
-Regeneration (comes with stipulations in 'Weaknesses')
-Hydrokinesis (control of all water, regardless of type)
-Able to morph into any shape given sufficient freshwater
Weaknesses: (No less than the amount of Strengths)
-Any part of his body that comes into contact with seawater will be instantly dissolved.
-If blown apart, will take time to reform.
-Regeneration requires sufficient water to replace the lost body part.
-Water requires time to collect at the lost body part for Regeneration.
-Seawater cannot be used for regeneration.
-Huge fear of seawater.
-Can be frozen solid (though this will not kill him, he will be immobile for a long while, still remaining conscious, and also has the properties of water in the solid state).
-Can be evaporated (though this will not kill him, he will have no control of his movement for a long while, while unconscious, and also has the properties of water in the gaseous state).
-Will feel weak if left in extreme heat, or in exposure to the Sun (I mean through the ozone layer too btw).
Other: not rly, I winged this entire application.

Each Race doesn't have any overall weaknesses as a whole... other than the magic that works opposite theirs of course. The only Races that have a base appearance Are Elves and Shifters really. Elves typically have long hair, varying in shades of blonde while their eyes are typically a lighter color varying between Green and blue. Shifters either have platinum Blonde hair or black hair ( Though the Wind Sage is already taken atm). Your Character's Strengths and Weaknesses are yours to create as I try not to control the aspects of the Race too much, I want to make sure people have freedom of creation.

What is the light element in this rp? Is it like natural light, connected with the electromagnetic spectrum, lightning, or holy and divine? Either way that's the element I'll probably do

Maybe I'll be able to get some more in during work, but it all depends on the managers around and the customers who're willing to looking into the cooler doors to see if there's anyone who could put more 2% milk

Last iteration (which was a long time ago) it was played as the more fantastical interpretation of light, so holy and divine, with healing magic and such. If using a literal approach, it'd be really hard to think of more than one use for darkness magic, eh? That said, if you prefer to stick with true light manipulation and leave healing out of it, I'm sure that's allowed.

Edit: Guess you went for fire after all (I think?). What's with the 10-year-old characters? :P

Fire? Where'd did you get that? Did I mess up somewhere?
As for age. I have no idea how old our characters are. So I usually just look at other characters to see what the average was, and there was only one profile up so far lol

Ah, I see now that the main post doesn't mention it very clearly. In the earlier iterations we worked with the assumption that each race is most innately talented in the magic of their island, meaning light for humans and fire for lycanthropes. We all rolled with the standard race-element combinations back then. I assume those standard combinations still exist, though Kushi probably doesn't mind you playing against the stereotype. Just note, when designing your background, that a lycanthrope specialized in light magic would be very rare.

Edit: Oh, and about the ages, being younger is probably fine (though I don't wanna speak for Kushi), but it's not the intention per se. This isn't an anime setting where the main characters are expected to be 14 or younger :P
