I'd like to try my hand at DMing a written Dungeons and Dragons. Does anyone feel like they can invest in written DND?

I don't have a basis for a story yet as I would require your characters to be made first...

If you can express your interest, that'd be great!

@xlifeisgood cool! So long as you drop in to make sure your character moves, all should be good. If not, I can always make you take a course of action... DnD tends to be very dependent on the group's availability and response.

i'd like to join as well. i've got a pseudo homebrewed race i've been itching to use.

well it's not so much an entire race as it is a unique combination of existing races who have a deepseeded lack of respect for each other. I got the idea from the second hobbit movie. what if that elf lady and that dwarf that fell in love had a child? The outcome I came out with is a creature I loving call a dwelf. They'd be taller than most dwarves but still shorter than any elf. They'd still be braod shouldered and thick skulled, but have lither bodies and thinner beards. On paper they'd received a bonus to con and dex. con for them being hardier than the average elf, and dex for them being nimbler than the average dwarf.

anyway, before I get to detailed I better wait and see what y'all think so far.

@Natsucooldude if tbis is a homebrewed class, i may lack the ability to assess its balance in the usual classes. While i dont want to be restrictive or closed minded, i will say that provide me with the links and i will give you an answer asap.

@Bigg Slamm the custom race is reasonable for me. You may use it in this campaign given that the bonus is +1 on con and dex.

Very interested. I bought a bunch of D&D manuals as a child(3.5 ed.) but have forgotten a lot of the actual game mechanics. This should be a good opportunity to freshen up!

Hmm... I want to play DnD, but my attention span could get in the way. I also have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to fifth edition, all my DnD knowledge being based in 3.5 and 2.0
Hmm... And yet I also see my favorite character in all of anime, the strategist of Log Horizon himself sitting below the posts of the would-be DM. Could I bear to say no to one such as he? No I could not. Then I shall ask? Indeed I think I shall.

If you chaps would have me, and be willing to help me out in making a fifth edition character, than I shall happily lend my skills and knowledge to this endeavor.

I will be accepting 5 characters as it is a nice number.

Please look for DnD 5e Playerhandbooks as a guide for your character creation and what you have access to. The Fifth edition is an updated (duh) version of 3.5. As much as I could gather, it fixed a lot of problems that broke the game (generally speaking...) and updated classes like the Sorcerer and other things.

(Or alternatively, click me!)

What I need is 5 characters for me to formulate a campaign... The rest of the mechanics should come after.

If you own a hand-held IOS or Android device, you could search for 'Fifth Edition Character Creator' and use that app to generate an en-pointe accuracy of DnD Character Sheet.

I suggest removing Protection from Evil and Good as they don't really work well in 5th Edition. Replace it with more useful spells.
