Everyone who's on the ground right now will stay on the ground without exceptional help.


Nikki has taken off with a running start on the island in the past. I know she won't be able to gain /much/ height that way, but it'd be enough for some gliding, at least. Also cliffs. And possibly trees, because this is Nikki we're talking about. So are we not doing any gliding at all, or just not going to be able to use it as a reliable means of travel?

@shylarah You're in a forest -- taking a running start would get you face-deep into the trunk of a tree. ;) As for climbing a tree or cliff that's high enough to clear the surrounding trees and still catch the wind (the updraft continually available on the island is most definitely not present here) feel free to look for it IC and I'll let you know if you find it.

No worries, though. Almost half of you have no means of flight anyway. Yet.

@Mokley Paths. Or once out of the forest. =P Even Nikki's not stupid enough to try a running launch in dense woods. Good point about the updraft, though. *nodding*

Nikki looking for launch points is more or less second nature. She might not do it all the time, but if somewhere is reasonably good (or interesting), chances are she'd notice. But I'll worry about that when there's something worth flying over/around. ^.^;;

A small post for her later would be good. I'm going to at least make mention of the fuzzy light ball in my next post.

So, fuzzy light ball serves as my spiritual guide through the old world. And, possibly, a handy dandy AED.

Yup! How fast that happens depends on the character, but all the familiars should be fully corporeal within the next 2 rounds.

Edit: I should specify they should remain ghostly until the next mod post unless otherwise specified. Pacing! ;)

@shylarah you're basically right, yes. :) That's in there mostly to give you guys some flexibility for the timeframe and to drive home the fact that the characters would be right to panic. ;)
