@Flagg Once the combat starts, Veredict can certainly be the one salvaging the situation, since whoever is in charge at Bosfyrd probably should be fed to the volcano once they let Brand's Brood start a war.

So a proposed antagonist below- since this is a little out there I just wanted to float the idea before filling in the history too much. Basically, a necromancer/mercenary captain hired by the King, he may have been the one to kill Brand, or at least been present at his death. Let me know if this works- if not, no sweat. Criticism and thoughts welcome from everyone of course. Also, happy to work out past history with anyone if this guy passes GM muster.

23 years ago, someone assassinated Baron Yaroglek in Westfeldt, his family and his servants. The only survivors were Yaroglek's 29 year old son, who is now 52 and the 4-year old Loden Grimm. Your Necro/Merc could have done that deed too. He would have been 34 years old at that time. Whoever killed Baron Yaroglek made it look as though the Tuldar family did it.

Possible. We can also leave this up in the air and decide if we want to pursue this plotline later in the RP. If Veredict was the dude who killed Brand (or at least was present at his death), maybe it's best if he's not the one who killed Yaroglek, since we dont want a villain who has killed everyone's dads :) Probably.

I mean Grey's 'dad' was killed by some vague figure working for the king. Maybe Veredict could just be the daddy killer of the RP. Like a sadistic serial killer Oprah. You get to be an orphan! You get to be an orphan! Everybody gets to be an orphan!

I think Naril is the only one left who needs to conveniently stumble into the tavern on the exact same night and time as all of the others. Past that, I think we're good to go(?).

You're correct that Kiera hasn't arrived at the tavern yet, but I'm sure they've met - if Varrick is 24 and arrived to live with Brand when he was 9, that means Kiera was 19 when Varrick came. Kiera left when she was 24, and if Varrick left Brand when he was 17, that means they have a living-with-Brand overlap of five years, making Varrick 14 when Kiera left. :3

Kiera left the same time Loden left. Loden was 17 and Kiera is 7 years older. I should do a timeline to show overlap.
