I'll quickly point out that something evil by nature as opposed to by, um... any other means is pretty specific, just so you know.

Anything involving Hidroroth(extremely dead) or his successor(currently believed to be dead, will not be relevant to this RP) is but those are pretty uncommon. The easiest path to lichdom, dullahans, and many methods of making mindless undead are as well.

So it's not like the spell can't exist, but I'm just making sure you know it's pretty specific in what it wards off. ^^;

Thaaaat'd be easier. Since that... immediately includes demons(though not all demons are evil at all, the Church isn't exactly a fan), liches(well, the most likely type at least), anything Hidroroth-related, mindless undead, and vampires.

Maybe make it visually a magically-generated Fleur de lis? Or sun.

It probably wouldn't use the caster's blood, but other then that a sun symbol works.
