It's one of those shows that's better the more you invest in it. You have to persevere through the beginning until you see the big picture and character development coming in. If you can get to that point the show becomes infinitely better.

It's more of they won't and they absolutely shouldn't after awhile; the show does a pretty good job of switching from Bojack's goo goo eyes to demonstrating how absolutely toxic he would be for her.

I don't remember my first impressions of the show, a lot of people seem to struggle to get past the first few episodes. To play devil's advocate I liked the latest season less than previous ones. As always some episodes were memorable standouts, the underwater one comes to mind, but the main arc has gotten a bit frustrating. All three seasons end on an emotionally similar scene that's unconnected to what came before too. I still enjoy it overall.
