Fae Nikia

He listened to what she said. I mean, he had to. She wouldn't let him bat a single word out of his mouth. She was rambling, on and on. He listened to her words carefully. Fae knew that what she could say might lead to something that'll offend him, and sure enough it did. Her description of the Magi. Fae took it to heart. As soon as she said that, his physical stance took a pace rearwards. She'd have noticed it, surely? Fae wasn't going to let her just get that by. But the way the conversation was going, he might as well keep it to himself. But for now, he only listened. Unnatural creatures...What a phrase to use so lightly...

She went on about her accusations, about how he had the right to never question her companions like so. But then again, hadn't she done the same? Had she not just questioned the entire existence of a united Rebel frontier that works around her constantly, one that is close to one another as she would be to her own group? What's more, she talked about what he thought about Faran. What she was saying was untruthful, a misconception of what she thought he said. Backing up Faran's actions? He never uttered a word of such kind. He just said that Faran as an individual is one person to be respectful of, not his actions. It always happened. This always did. Someone he'd try to finally work alongside would just throw his words around him. This time, he wasn't going to let it happen...

"Let me get something straight with you...How dare you come into my home...And just...Lightly use the term Unnatural Creatures to describe people who are around you almost all the time...Around me? Is it enough to have one power that means we aren't able to live as what we sometimes want to be? Because that's not what I'd say...or anyone who had any tact at this moment in time..." He wasn't fuming, just stern. Somehow, it had a friendly tone to it, as if informative once more. There was no hostility in his vocal patterns, however. That was not what he was like. Negotiator at heart, it was difficult to even put it on as an act.

"Who said I knew your companions? Who said that I knew their stories, which are tragic...But hating those who are responsible isn't all of the Magi. Yes...Those who did it were monsters to heart, which is a shame to see. But then again, let's talk about that part of knowledge. You do not know a single thing about those of the Ty' Un. You think that what these people fight for are just ideals of their own? Like you just said, your group fights for their own opinions...Also known as Ideals...You don't know a single thing about every single individual who signed up, who died, fought or lives for the rebellion. You don't know why they joined. You don't know the lives they may have lost, or may not have. You don't even know why they want to fight, whether it is the prosperity of all magi and humans or whether it is to survive themselves. Because I signed up to survive...Letting this slide by will only let others wage war and eventually kill us all, and I'm still here fighting to survive. It's what I have been doing every fucking day since I signed the contract to get it, especially the eight bloody years I've spent hopping from village to village to escape the suspicion. You take lives as well, and yet they don't profit. In all honesty...I hate killing. It's not what I feel is right, but I do it because I have to...Like you do."

He was using his tongue more than he desired. His words were flowing out more than he wanted. With that, Fae moved away from the light and towards the centre of the room, towards where the door was. It was a strong material, the hatch. The camouflage made it almost impossible to see, even though its metallic structure allowed it to be quite shiny if not covered up properly. It also let it be cold, and to blend in with the usually wet and freezing soil that sat on top and around.

"And when did I ever say what Faran did was acceptable? It isn't, but the man himself...The man that I know...Is one that needs to be respected to some degree. Not what you know him as. You don't know him either. You've only read what has been documented on him...The one your friends might read, and research. Glad to hear you actually do the research, better than mindless killers and instead smart hunters...But research is never 100% accurate. And as for sleep..." He sighed heavily. His forehead fell down onto his fingertips as they rubbed vigorously against his forehead. His breath was trembling, upset with what he had to say and what was said back. A single tear did not beckon from his eyes, but instead just a sorrowful voice of deep and crippling expression. What had become of him tonight? What sort of witchcraft had brought the ideals of stress to overcome his posture?

"All I wanted to be...Was a musician. To sit there and play my cello, that was my goal. I was going to finally settle down and start that...Tonight, at the festival. I played...Yes...But the Thalburn most likely has my duo of partners under questioning, or dead...But, the world isn't fair. It never is...No one is ever going to get along. No one is ever going to get what they want, especially myself...And not in the point of view as a musician, but instead an unfortunate spread between two conflicting sides with blood. I guess I don't see it, or understand it? Maybe that's why I'm a rebel? Or maybe...I'm just an unnatural creature...Or somewhere just along those lines..."

Fae opened the hatch, and began climbing through into the late night. It was to be sunlight within a few hours, and it gave him time to possibly visit the nearby lake to gather his thoughts like he did in the days of the old. It was his way of recollecting both the day, and the future. Mid-way through the motion, he stopped, and looked back for only a second.

"The outpost is yours for the night. Yours only, though...You are the leader after all...I'll be back...Eventually."

He took off. Fae walked, forgetting to go towards where the horses were hidden. Walking helped distract him, though his thoughts needed to be focused. They always needed to be focused. The hours began to pass as he walked along the forest; a route in which he cherished as a youngster was now holding a burden upon its shoulders. In the distance, the crack of sunlight shimmered, letting him see the lake's glossy reflection through the trees. He'd been walking for some time. His legs ached, and his back hurt too. He only held a single hatchet and his crossbow, with ammunition this time. Fae knew he could snip in some hunting once this was all over, this seminar of peace and tranquillity. Within a few minutes, he reached the water's edge, and the rock which he always sat on. Placing a backside down onto the warm area the sunlight had touched, he waited and relaxed. Fae could finally think...

Jin "Sin" Baal

Once Jinx was asleep, Jin shook his head. Out of all the places the woman chose to fall asleep on the floor, hardwood flooring at that. Picking Jinx up, the man quietly and easily moved her to the guest room and into a proper bed. Making sure all of her belongings were in there after doing so and shutting the door behind himself. Going back to the very same chair which he sat earlier, holding the very same pendant. Different thoughts washed through his mind then before.

Jin couldn't refrain from thinking of the words Jinx spoke. Overall the man was absorbing not only those details, or the words similarly spoken by another friend, but his life overall. Staying within this cabin, biding time till the usurpers of his past came to his doorstep. Was that truly the best course of action? Would a dearly loved friend, who was now dead, appreciate or wish for Jin to be living alike he did till this point? This contemplation consumed him, until falling asleep in the very chair which he sat. A feat or act which was not uncommon for Jin in the slightest.

Eventually several hours passed, Jin shifted in his sleep. possibly from a dream or nightmare and caused him to wake up. Noticing night breaking, Jin decided it would be good to perform some early morning training. Especailly before the plans which were made for later in the day. Not waking Jinx, Jin leaves the cabin and travels to the lake with buckets in hand.

Arriving at the lake, Jin did not notice Fae, immediately going to the water source to fill the buckets. Leaving the buckets on the shore, Jin walks a bit further inland and begins his morning ritual. Closest thing one could relate this training routine to, would be Kung fu or something of the like. Eyes pretty much closed, Jin slowly made his movements. On rare occasions his pace or actions would be issued rather swiftly.

Lance Eisert

Lance didn't hold much thought to the final comment which Isla made. Loss of love ones, hell even friends, proves to be a horrific thing. And that's an understatement. Focus seeped into their environment. Before sleeping, if any were had at all, Lance spent a great deal of time studying or merely observing around himself. So far, nothing out of ordinary or of worry was taking place. Though as usual Lance did not fall asleep for some time. Even then Lance would still be 'half awake' or easily roused. Unable to enter deep/full slumber.

Minutes folded into hours, then dawn would eventually pierce through the sky. Maybe not the very fist sign of sunlight, but not long after Lance would wake up again. Once completely conscious, attention would direct towards Isla, to confirm if she was still nearby.

Jinx Haven

Look at this pretty little freckle. Mind if I have a taste.

Jinx giggled as she sat on the pillows, nodding at the tan black-haired man smirking at her. Her flesh was emitting a pinky flourish as she sipped wine and looked at the three gorgeous men attending to her needs. The room was awash in light swirling cream pillars and pink and gold murals that spalshed against a warm pinky-red marble floor. Outside on the balcony there was a vibrant jungle with birds chirping and sunlight highlighting the translucent violet curtains that surrounded her. She through a grape in her mouth, standing up and walking barefoot onto the padio, her lace chemise barely hiding her bare pink form. The sun was warm against her flesh, as one of the men came over with the sun-screen lotion, wearing only a skimpy pair of boxers. He was a blonde with long flowing hair and white teeth that set off his green eyes, “Should I help you with that?

Jinx smiled, “You can do whatever you want handsome.”

She giggled, walking over when another voice came from behind her, “You shouldn't make promises you don't intend to keep cold one.
Jinx shivered, feeling the warmth from the sun fading away, “Not today. Please let me have this. Please.

The room turned black and faded, the pillows fading away as cobwebs and vines crawled into the frigid space. The men fell lifeless to the ground only to turn to dust and bone. She turned away from them only to find a cracked mirror directly down the room from her. It exposed the grey-mottled flesh and bone that would be her true form. The figure behind her was charcoal black with white pointed teeth, dreads and red eyes that burned beneath the top hat and deep red dinner suit, “Sorry dear, but dreams are for the living. I don’t think you look that bad though.

Jinx turned kicking an empty mug goblet that once contained her delicious wine, “You know Papa, if you weren’t so god damn condescending I would think you actually meant that.

Legba smirked, “I never lie child, only convey the truth differently. You do look nice, pretty as a blue rose.

Jinx crossed her arms not daring to look down, “Quit with the compliments and tell me what you want?

The man smirked wickedly, “Just too check in. You were almost buried alive today. Have to make sure my investment is still in..commision.

Jinx cursed herself as she looked down at the bones that made up her hands, and tapped them against the faded stone, “Nothing more then a scare. Unfortunately for you.

You think I want you to die?

Jinx turned, “No. I think you want out of your situation.

He moved silently coming to stand beside her, a cold wind brushing her whispy white and gristled hair across her face, “I am in no rush. Time is useful and I have plans still unseen. Don't make as many reckless decisions. Even the undead can pass into the nether if pushed too far.

"Yeah yeah..Bring my boys back and piss off. I know you have the whole traveler between the worlds job, but you are really interfering with "Jinx's" alone time..and that is unforgivable, especially as you said I rarely dream. Lesson learned. Don't be such a clutzy bitch..blah blah..blah. Go away.

Papa smirked shaking his head,"If only you're rude comments didn't stand past the sands of time. Just like your father."

Jinx,"My father? Wait..Papa. You've seen him. How's he doing? Tell him I..HEY! DON'T WALK AWAAAAAHHHHHH"

Jinx jumped up in bed with a deep gasp. She stretched out her hands to see the regular bluish white colour of her skin, instead of the wrinkled and grey flesh that covered her bones. She let out a breath of relief then looked past her hands down at the sheets, as a small drop of black liquid began to leave a stain. She touched her nose, “Shit.

She jumped out of bed heading to the bathroom, shoving her hand under her nose to stop the black liquid from escaping. As she made it to the bathroom, she used a cloth and water to wipe away most of the blood, trying not to let it spill anymore all over Jin’s home. She looked out a window, noticing the sun was rising and the night had passed through relatively smoothly. She walked around noting Jin was nowhere to be found so she moved back to her room pulling out her charcoal pencils and graph paper. She sulked, moving out to the table and began drawing to calm down her mind after her loss of the three hotties and her interaction with Baba Legba.

Darius & Dike

"Your turn for watch."

Feeling what he thought was someone's boot gently nudging his side, Darius groggaly opened his eyes and sat up, hoping to tell whoever was doing it to stop. Seeing Dike standing near him, Darius slowly felt the memories of what had happened yesterday filter into his consciousness, which soon reminded him that it was his turn for watch. Standing up and taking a moment to make sure he was fully awake, Darius nodded to Dike before finding a plave to watch the surrounding area from. Soon finding a spot in a nearby tree, he watched the night slowly become dawn. As this was happening, he started thinking about all of the stuff that happened.

(I never thought that helping someone would lead to helping carry a letter like this. It's just a bit weird isn't it?) Sighing, he took a moment to pull out the letter and look at it. After several minutes of looking at the odd text, he put it away, deciding that it was probably written in another language. Taking out one of his throwing knives next, he practiced tossing it away from himself and catching it mid air. after a while he made it a challenge to see how much he could change its initial path before catching it. He soon got so caught up in it that he nearly let go of it mid catch when he heard Dike shift arround in his sleep. Remembering what he was supposed to be doing, Darius put his throwing knife away and waited until the sun had fully risen before waking Dike. Soon after having a bite to eat, they cleaned up camp and continued making their way to Alfheim.

Fae Nikia

A rustle amongst the bushes to the lake's shore caused his eyes to open. They snapped, and almost immediately, he launched the back half of his body behind the rocks he sat upon. Someone was coming, but who was it? That was something he didn't know...It was something he couldn't help but become paranoid about. His arms began to tense, and strain, as his concentration went fully into his magi. The tension of Fae's body made him lose track of the noises, but soon enough a shell of hard rock and tough stone forged around his top half, the side not concealed by the bushes behind. One arm reached for a crossbow, the other a bolt, as he instantaneously loaded the round in preparation to fire upon any Thalburn soldier that poked their head out. If he were to die, then it'd be he-

But it wasn't the Thalburn. In fact, it was actually something, or someone, quite surprising. A man, not dressed to any military standards, came wading through the water gently. He hadn't spotted Fae, due to the camouflage he made himself, and the magi ability. The only thing that was visible was the shimmer of his eyes and the crossbow itself, which was painted to suit his ability. He watched him, slowly making his way across the lake to the shallow ends, where he began to set up multiple small objects, as if marking out an area. What had he stumbled upon? Why were all these encounters happening now?

Next, a show of unbelievable proportion. It was magnificent. The man moved slowly, as if training himself in hand-to-hand combat, across a small area. Fae saw him move pace occasionally, but his maintain of pace was incredible. He kept his aim, however, in case. Studying was wise. Flashes of memories kept flowing through his mind about the Monks of Gre'ta Noe. Those were true masters of movement, especially when Fae had to train against one. Yet, there was a weakness in them. Fae knew that to beat a man in hand-to-hand combat, weapons needed to be brought. His hatchets...And preferably his crossbow.

When Fae was sure he wasn't an ultimate threat, he stood up. The scraping of rock against one another echoed through the silent waves of the lake as he put the effort and strenuous power into covering his legs. It hurt, in all honesty. But it was just to be careful. As he was sure the figure had caught his attention, he moved closer. The echoes of rock bounced between the trees and foliage on an immense scale. It was sometimes like the gunfire of MiddleSeed, with every rock clamping against one another. Fae reached a certain distance, and began to loosen his muscles, the Magi ability sinking back into his body. The rock's seemed to fade into his skin, once more. He stared him in the eyes, before putting the weapon to his side. His tone was low, but not hostile.

"Tocha ni, ro mana ei trequele." He started with his own tongue. It's a peaceful place, isn't it? The ambience feels right; a gateway to another realm where the troubles of war and oppression are subsided for peace and tranquillity..." He paused, thinking to himself for a moment. "I'd never thought to see someone else out here. Probably the same for your end of the line...Kind of like one of the Monks of Gre'ta. Tolo Weys de Farsnaoel...The harbingers of pace, as they used to go by. Now...I just hope that you are like them, along the lines of peace, and not by their ways of training and combat..." He nodded down to his crossbow, but gave expression that it was not intended on harm unless with reason. "So who might you be, sir?"

Stance fluently, yet quickly, directed towards Fae. Position didn't move closer to the newcomer. Though a step was taken enabling the nearest water bucket to be within limbs-reach. Most of Jin's perception studied the man, while a faint portion stayed on guard for any more newcomers. "I've found it can take more than a peaceful atmosphere to escape your mind. Or should i say memories of past?" A weak chuckle broke his speech. Monotonous voice now taking a more serious shape. "If you're not hostile, you can call me Jin." Attention of Jin didn't exactly catch Fae's ability. Also knew nothing about the man. Possibly explaining the lack of trust. As previous statement may insinuate. I'm just a man enjoying temporary solace during a journey of agony"Who are you, might I ask?" Despite the lace of seriousness in his demeanor or tone, Jin's face still displayed a horrifically monotonous expression. Jin could of asked more, would of, instead stayed focus on other things. Overloading Fae with questions was something Jin would also enjoy avoiding.

Observing Campsite of Isla & Lance

Several (seven) bandits, thieves, outlaws, whatever you wish to call them peered from a collection of brush or hiding spot. Few even checking their equipment, or secured their attire. (Bandanna knots, shoe laces.) weak mutters transpired between select men as they watched their target. Degrees of uncertainty filled the group, mostly revolving around possibility of Lance or Isla possessing threatening powers. Though lack of scenario clarity did not infringe on the Bandits plans.

Traveling to any blind-spots of the camp were overly tedious or risked being noticed. Thus a straight forward and swift, hopeful, ambush would need to happen and overwhelm the two. The bandits considered their advantage of three and a half members to one enough to fuel their quick advances towards the camp. Sight of the Bandits would of happened long before hearing their footsteps or actions, at least for Lance. However with Isla and Lance sleeping, who knows what could happen next.

Cassius Drake

"Wanted: Dangerous Magi, Fae Nikia. Substantial reward. Inquire within."

The tattered poster had been hastily nailed to a wooden pillar outside the Kraken Den, a notorious tavern in the Market District of Thalburn. This was a borough that Cassius tried not to frequent; the establishments were seedy at best, and bounties were murderous at worst. He examined the paper thoughtfully, an icy rain piercing down from above. Despite his hesitations, he admitted to himself that the bounty seemed to fit his job description. "Dangerous Magi." "Substantial reward." He tore the sheet off of the nail and proceeded inside.

Instantly he was hit with a blast of warm air, a welcome contrast from the deadly wind in the streets. The tavern was dark, lit only by a few pots flaming with incense. Cassius could make out the figures of the tavern's patrons, but not the faces. He judged this to be intentional.

He spent little time in places like this. Indeed, he tried to avoid Thalburn altogether. Unfortunately, the nature of his trade made visits to the stone city a necessity. Nowhere else could he stock up on ammunition and gear for his hunt. He walked to the bar, his weapons clinking audibly against the straps of his cloak, and slapped the paper onto the counter.

"I'm here about the bounty," he said, eyeing the innkeep through the slit in his mask. It was always wise to lead with a statement, rather than a question. Prospective bounty hunters could be turned away for little more than apparent indecision.

Rather than answering, the innkeep grunted and gestured to the wall beside the counter. In the dark, Cassius could make out the vague shape of a door. He nodded and set a coin on the counter then proceeded through the door, one hand on his rifle.

The room that greeted him was small and dank, no brighter than the main chamber of the tavern. A few paces in, a table separated Cassius from his potential employers. Seated at that table was a horrendously fat man, hunched over a collection of documents and deeds. Behind him, another man was dimly visible. His body faced away from Cassius, rendering him anonymous, and a tendril of smoke rose from a pipe in his hand.

As Cassius entered, the fat man's eyes lit up with recognition.

"Cassius Drake," he exclaimed, his thick lips curling into a grin. "The Scarlet Huntsman! I knew one day you'd walk through our doors." He continued before Cassius could interrupt. "Surely, you are here about the bounty?"

Cassius nodded, somewhat vexed yet unsurprised by the clerk's familiar tone. His name was known to many parties throughout the realm. He was considered the stoic scourge of the wicked.

"I might be," he said, dangling his services like bait before a fish. "Your poster was somewhat vague about the circumstances of the bounty. I'll need more information before I agree to anything."

The clerk looked over his shoulder at his mysterious superior, who nodded.

"Some time ago, there was an... incident, in the town of Middleseed. We believe this riot was instigated by members of the Ty 'Un Resistance. They attacked a patrol of Thalburn guardsmen, and the military responded in suit." He leaned back and sniffed, putting on a grand show of indifference towards the Resistance. "We have reason to believe the attack was coordinated by Fae Nikia, whom we've long suspected of Resistance ties. As such, we sent out an assassin to dispatch him while we quelled the unrest. The assassin was unsuccessful... but I have no doubt of your abilities."

Cassius narrowed his eyes beneath his mask. "I was not aware of an uprising in Middleseed."

The clerk glanced at his companion, who remained silent. He turned back to Cassius, a comforting smile on his face. "The Thalburn have silenced all talk of the vicious attacks in order to keep the people of Middleseed comfortable and safe."

Cassius frowned. The man's tone was suspicious, but it was not above the Thalburn to censor information for their own purposes. He decided to dig deeper. "And where is this rebel now?"

"We believe that he has fled Middleseed with the aid of at least one other insurgent. Reports are speculative, but several witnesses confirmed he was travelling with a woman. His whereabouts are unknown."

Cassius made a decision. He shook his head. "I hunt murderers, not rebels. Find another henchman." He turned for the door. The clerk raised his hands and frantically pleaded with him.

""But- but- but that's not all he's done!" he said, a bead of sweat glinting in the dim torchlight. Cassius turned around impatiently. "This man, he- he committed atrocities during the Ty 'Un uprising. He killed many innocents, we're sure of it!"

Cassius rolled his eyes and put a hand on the door, but was stopped by a loud thunk. He turned around and was immediately taken aback. The clerk had placed a giant bar of pure gold on the table.

"This will be yours if you kill Fae Nikia."

Cassius hesitated. By now he was certain of deceit, but he could make that gold do far more good than it would in the hands of the Thalburn.

"I'll see it done."

Jin "Sin" Baal

Traveling back home, Jin arrived at the front door with both buckets of water. Once the water was properly stored for later usage, Jin did several things. Firstly, stated presence of being back, along with checking to see if Jinx was awake. Upon entering the cabin Jinx was in her room, thus Jin had yet seen her. Second, Jin grabbed a small pack, and filled it with various necessities, for the plan made last night Thalburn. While inside his room, Jin also grabbed his cloak. Time didn't go incredibly long before Jin stood near the doorway of his home. Awaiting for Jinx.

"If ya need anything just ask, but i should have our bare essentials in this bag. Once you are prepared we can leave for Thalburn."

Lance Eisert

Throughout the scuffle against the bandits Lance lost track of Isla. Don't get the wrong idea Lance didn't simply evade the attack and allow bandits to pursue Isla. More like, Lance created a diversion and directed the bandits to another location while simultaneously loosing track of Isla. Four bandits were slain during the relocation of the fight. (Others may have perceived this 'relocation maneuver' to have been a more 'tactical fleeing' than anything. Standing still Lance observed the battlefield that existed....

Three bandits stood, one center, to the left, and to the right, directly in front of Lance. Each of Lance's hands wielded a sword similar to a scimitar. Even further behind, the three closest targets, stood the leader who just recently showed himself. While the leader spoke, another bandit was killed.

"Give up. You may have killed these fools, but you don't stand a chance against my ability."

Jinx rubbed slightly against the graph paper as she fixed up a few coordinates. She bit her lip just finishing before she heard Jin enter the house. She listened as he started moving stuff around, figuring he was getting ready for their voyage into town. Taking his lead she started to pack up her maps and stencils before she moved to her bag. When she heard him call out, she yelled back,"Be out in a minute! Just finishing up a few things."

She looked at her dirt crusted clothes on the ground and groaned at the thought of putting them back on. Wear the over sized comfy clean clothes that will inhibit my fighting..or put on the dirt crusted clothes that fit. Choices... She groaned pulling off Jin's clothes to put her's back on. When she finished she reached into her bag to pull out a half-skull bandana and a black cowboy hat that shadowed her grey clouded eyes. She wrapped the bandana around the lower part of her face then put on some gloves and picked up her scythe. She twisted her arm so that the butt end of the shaft would fall down into it's holster and then headed out to see Jin. She smirked behind the bandana,"I know what your thinking! This outfit is going to cause attention, but the cover story is golden.

She walked over chucking her backpack over her shoulders before she opened the door and walked outside into the bright sunlight,"Plus if all else fails..I can always just play dead. Now come on! Adventure awaits!"

Jin and Jinx began their journey towards Thalburn. Jin let curiosity slay him, finally asking what plan she had in mind.

"What exactly is your golden idea?"

Jin wasn't exactly sure if he'd regret this question. Though, despite the stability or believability of the story. Jin didn't have much worry about what would happen if they were discovered to be Magi.

Lance Eisert

Movement forward was halted, full extent of power not even close to being exposed, sound of electricity crackled and popped. Lance stared with wide eyes at the leader who now held up a hand engulfed with lightning. Throwing his scimitars (metal weapons) behind himself and away from his enemies, Lance begins to control the metal with his magi-power, controlling it's trajectory or movements. Swiftly as the swords shot backwards, they changed course and went spinning into the sky. Only to soar downward and impale each bandit in the skull. However, before Lance could walk towards his weapons, lightning arced from the Leader and hit the two scimitars. This act not only disabled grasp of his own weapons. But transformed the bodies into complete ash.

"You're going to think that this disguise is stupid but it has actually worked multiple times for me. First off there are two things that are obviously going to stir suspicion when looking at me. Number one: I have a huge bad-ass scythe off my back and Number 2: I have the stunning complextion of a dead fish. I can't cover the scythe and I must cover my skin so how the hell do I get past the suspicion. I don't. As soon as I walk into town the guards are going to be all over me. So I have to depend on my acting skills to get me through it.

She turned eyeing Jin, to make sure he was listening before she continued, "The story, is that I am a bounty hunter in town looking for Willy Slim, a low down Mythic who has the power of invisibility. The son of a bitch took my nose and left me a disfigured monster so I am out for blood."

She nudged Jin slightly,"Oh and if they ask to see it, I have extensive knowledge on the Thalburn Disability Laws for this specific case. I have a disfigured appendage so I can call into play Section 4. It's pretty full proof. Soldiers are idiots when it comes to beaurocratic processes. They can destroy a mythic quite lethally but when it comes to matters of citizen and tourist greivances, they hate to deal with the visitors committee. Also, I can take it off. I'd prefer not to, but I've had to do it once before. It's fairly gross and the stitch work is a pain in the ass.

With the conclusion of her story, the peaks of the buildings of Thalburn began to fill the skies and she turned to look out into the woods, confirming which dead beasties were close enough for her to manage. She counted two wolves, one recently dead due to a sickly fish, and the other with half it's face gone due to a bullet in the eye. The hunters must have lost trace of their kill because he was already partly rotted. She clenched her fist lightly, forcing the beasts to stand up and follow far enough away from them so that Jin remained unaware of her skills. She wouldn't allow the wolves to enter the town but she would place them close enough that they would be useful to her.
