Laurel
It is said that a laurel wand cannot perform a dishonourable act, although in the quest for glory (a not uncommon goal for those best suited to these wands), I have known laurel wands perform powerful and sometimes lethal magic. Laurel wands are sometimes called fickle, but this is unfair. The laurel wand seems unable to tolerate laziness in a possessor, and it is in such conditions that it is most easily and willingly won away. Otherwise, it will cleave happily to its first match forever, and indeed has the unusual and engaging attribute of issuing a spontaneous lightning strike if another witch or wizard attempts to steal it.

Unicorn
Unicorn hair generally produces the most consistent magic, and is least subject to fluctuations and blockages. Wands with unicorn cores are generally the most difficult to turn to the Dark Arts. They are the most faithful of all wands, and usually remain strongly attached to their first owner, irrespective of whether he or she was an accomplished witch or wizard. Minor disadvantages of unicorn hair are that they do not make the most powerful wands (although the wand wood may compensate) and that they are prone to melancholy if seriously mishandled, meaning that the hair may 'die' and need replacing.

Most wands will be in the range of between nine and fourteen inches. While I have sold extremely short wands (eight inches and under) and very long wands (over fifteen inches), these are exceptionally rare. In the latter case, a physical peculiarity demanded the excessive wand length. However, abnormally short wands usually select those in whose character something is lacking, rather than because they are physically undersized (many small witches and wizards are chosen by longer wands).

Hard flexibility
Wand flexibility or rigidity denotes the degree of adaptability and willingness to change possessed by the wand-and-owner pair - although, again, this factor ought not to be considered separately from the wand wood, core and length, nor of the owner’s life experience and style of magic, all of which will combine to make the wand in question unique.

Personality: The very first word that pops into one's mind when thinking about Michelle is determination, and the second, ambition. Everyone that knows Michelle knows that whenever she puts her mind to something, it will get done, regardless of whatever obstacles she has to push through in order to do so. She is intelligent and very articulate, and her confidence is shown through her powerful mannerisms. She is generally friendly, unless you give her a reason not to be. While being confident in both herself and her actions, this is often to a fault. She is very opinionated, has trouble asking for help, and hates admitting when she's wrong. She tends to keep to herself, though is not timid, and can sometimes be sarcastic and cold towards others. She is extremely dependable, however; If you ask her to meet you somewhere, she will be there; if she promises to do something, she will do it; if you ask her for help, she will do everything in her power to assist. Underneath the frustrated sighs and eye-rolls lies a person who's kind and caring at the core.

You are here simply because you have high expectations and won't stop at anything to achieve your goals. Sure, you might step on a few fingers to get there, but that's a price you're willing to pay.

Pet: Salem was named after the cat from one of Michelle's favorite television shows: Sabrina the Teenage Witch. She thought it to be very ironic.

History: Michelle was born on January 1st, 1999 in Liverpool to muggle-born witch Katherine Perry-Jenkins and Pure-blood Antwan Jenkins. She grew up an only child, and despite coming from a lower middle-class family, was a bit "spoiled" in result. While being a half-blood, Michelle spent more time with her non-magical side of the family than her other side. Because of this, she is no stranger to "muggle inventions" nor does she discriminate based on blood status. From a young age, Michelle has has been taught by her parents to be tough and look after herself; they told her that no one would have her back like she has her back. As a result, she has a hard time trusting others, and often times puts herself first before others.

It came as no surprise when Michelle received her Hogwarts letter. Her parents had been teaching her things that she would need to know ever since she first learned to talk, after all. She'd heard many tales of the school from her parents, both Hogwarts Ravenclaw alumni, and was eager to find out if they were actually true. She and her parents know that she will excel both academically and socially.

Less common than the standard walnut wand, that of black walnut seeks a master of good instincts and powerful insight. Black walnut is a very handsome wood, but not the easiest to master. It has one pronounced quirk, which is that it is abnormally attuned to inner conflict, and loses power dramatically if its possessor practises any form of self-deception. If the witch or wizard is unable or unwilling to be honest with themselves or others, the wand often fails to perform adequately and must be matched with a new owner if it is to regain its former prowess. Paired with a sincere, self-aware owner, however, it becomes one of the most loyal and impressive wands of all, with a particular flair in all kinds of charmwork.

As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner. The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental.

Appearance: Vance has black hair with hazel eyes , his skin is fair but not extremely so. He is about 4'9 and weighs 90 pound

Blood Status: Pureblood

Personality: Vance is a crafty individual with a curiosity that is only matched by his spite. He is not somebody to forget if someone has crossed him but the reverse is also true, assuming that repaying them does not involve risking his own plans of course. Vance is no social butterfly but he isn't exactly the sort of person to stutter or fear interaction with others. While he still has a distaste for Muggle-borns, he is willing to get along with them if they acknowledge their 'inferiority. Despite his generally pessimistic and spiteful attitude, Vance always try's to remember his manners no matter who he is talking to.
