@Sisyphus Technology is not very advanced, but you can totally make your character a super revolutionary inventor and have him be a little bit more Renaissance-y of a scientist. BUT if you do this, please make him close to the royal family. Not necessarily royal born, but definitely esteemed enough to make him a nobleman.

@Ever Please make your character a female. With Sisyphus' suggestion, we actually have two more males than females. Also, that profession is not taken. And everyone does have a Mark!!! This is super important!!

Also, because of how little they've been picked, could you BOTH consider making your character a fauna, water, or fire elemental?

Thanks for the heads up about lightning. How are we doing for Fire? That seems like a fairly 'sciency' element.

SO, questions for character gen:

-- Does my character have to be Marked? Can he/she be from a distant land outside of Orewyn?

-- Should I play a male or female?

-- How crazy does the fantastical stuff get? Tempted to play an underground explorer/archaeologist and/or wanderer from some strange cavern-dwelling nation.

@Eventua Please play a female, and yes she does need to be marked, preferably Orewegian. And we're shooting for a somewhat realistic fantasy world, so an archaeologist doesn't really fit that. As for your second idea, instead of a cave-dwelling nation, how about just a group? Like a small village-sized group that made their home in a cave?

@Ever Yes, that's fine.

BUT THAT'S IT FOR MALE CHARACTERS AT THIS MOMENT! We need at least two more females to even out, assuming every male character PM'd to us is still going to take part in this RP.

@Sisyphus No, you're fine. It's just that now we have two more males than there are girls available, so if anyone is willing to have another character, that'd be very much appreciated. Unless some of the males are okay with not having a Destined, though I personally want to avoid that.

We all wanted to be the dirty magical hobo.

We just didn't want our characters to be paired with other dirty magical hobos.
