Biography:
Ollie was a child, probably about 12 years old, when his parents came to Sierra-Armstrong, hoping to find a safe haven. To the best of his knowledge, or at least what his parents told him, the SA County was exactly that. However, that was until the Armstrong Garrison really started to clamp down onto Sierra Armstrong and began to rule with their iron fist. Oliver's father was an active speaker against the military establishment, especially when their harshness was openly displayed. However, his father was one of few who was brave enough to voice what the rest of the community were thinking.
It was very easy for them to put their boot on top of the free speakers, quite literally. Oliver watched from his slum-house as his parents were dragged out into the mud, his father shot and mother taken away into the Garrison building. Oliver was left to care for himself for over four years. It was only a year ago when the news was broken to him. His mother had died of an illness. Outraged, Oliver has had enough.
Up until now, Oliver spent the last year gathering together what would be contraband items in the wall of Sierra-Armstrong. Managing to find spray cans and his bow and arrows, Oliver has managed to keep his gear spread about, using abandoned slum houses as hiding spots to spread his tracks as much as possible. He's promised to finish what his father started, with graffiti being the first part to inspire the people. Ollie doesn't know when he'll be able to raise his weapon against the Armstrong garrison, but when the time comes, he'll be ready...
Personality:
Ollie can seem quite stand off-ish at first. He's very slow to trust people at first, not wanting anyone to get an idea on what he's doing. However, if you can be trusted, then his true personality comes through. While it's true he doesn't talk much, he's a good listener and helps everyone he can. Ollie likes to climb up things, seeing views beyond the walls, even if it's unlikely he'll ever venture beyond them. Actually, his ability to climb and move his quite useful for his tagging too.
While Oliver has his own agenda, you'll have a loyal ally through thick and thin when he is able to call you a friend.
Living Arrangements:
Ollie lives at a Slum House on the very fringe of area outside the Armstrong Garrison.
Possessions:
Ollie's true possessions are three things. His collections of spray paints, kept at a safehouse. His bow and arrow, kept at another safehouse, and a photo of his mom and dad. The photo is kept in his current home.

Appearance: Amelia is lightly freckled but otherwise pale skinned which is due to her Family’s Dutch origins. Her hair is strawberry blonde and cut to shoulder length, her eyes blue.
She stands five foot eight inches and weighs about 125-135 and is athletically toned because of her work with horses
Biography: Amelia was born to John Wintergarden DVM DACVS Petra Skipper. Her Dad was a respected Veterinarian in the horse world and her mother the owner of a horse farm so a match made in heaven.
Amy was a happy child growing up her family comfortable and safe.
She attended a private school where she took advantage of it’s attention to the students scholastic skills. She was a dedicated student pushing herself so that she could eventually attend Auburn and be a Vet just like her dad; her life was on track then it happened and shattered her plans.
She was fourteen about to turn fifteen when the outbreak was first reported. Her family had a large and remotely placed ranch so in the beginning they were safe from the shambling horrors and they had enough room to take in survivors that found their way to the ranch. Her father though a Veterinarian was soon pressed into seeing human patients and treating their injuries and best of all was that few of the horrors were seen near the Ranch and the ones that they did see were blocked by the fence. It looked as though they might be safe from the horrors outside when they had something worse fall upon them, Bandits, People or Scum.
The Scum in the beginning looked as if they might be able to commit as many atrocities as they’d like but they too discovered how fickle fate was when the Hunters who’d taken the guns and bows to hunt game with returned and fell on the beasts like a vengeful tidal wave. Some of the people staying on the ranch felt safe again but her mom who’d always been a practical thinker insisted on an armed scouting party which returned with bad news.
The nearby town was already under the control of some self appointed warlord and the party that had attacked them seemed to be attached to them and they were just being missed. The Scum had been difficult to fight and gain victory over and because the number of people at the ranch who could fight was just eleven people with nine children and two grandmothers.
It was decided that they would all escape using the forty-two horses Amy’s family had which wasn’t easy because of the fact all but three had no idea how to ride a horse but Amy and her mom were excellent teachers and soon had all the group old enough to learn trained as passable horseriders.
For three months they traveled and fought seeking safety for their band some of them dying and new members joining till one day they bumped into a band of scouts from a place called Sierra-Armstrong who saw their herd which had grown as other horses that had been released had joined them swelling the number to just over one-hundred and twenty-five so giving the twelve soldiers no trouble at all. The soldiers gave off mixed signals till they discovered her father was a Veterinarian and a skilled surgeon and her mother his assistant..
It was shortly after the disclosure they began telling her family about their wonderful home and the safety it offered and how they could use people like her parents and those that followed them. Her parents already shy after encountering so many violent people were hesitant but the people her parents felt so protective of begged that they go there and at least look it over; that was six years ago and the reason they stayed was because her dad had been declared an asset of value not because they liked the place.
Her Father had immediately sought to protect his daughter from the leering soldiers by taking her as his student and teaching her the Art of Veterinary Science. In this way she became a valuable resource which the military had reasons to protect from their normal methods of society and the fact that she and her mom were the only certified Horse trainers in the entire community made her a real touch me not; to Amy it was horrible and filled her with guilt when she saw girls she knew too crushed to to look people in the eyes after the tender mercies of one of the Jacs visited its self on them.
She was safe from the drunken advances because she never went to the village unescorted by her mother or father or stayed there after dark instead spending all her time at The Nova Ranch
Always having a good seat Amy became a prolific hunter of deer using her skills in the saddle and a handmade longbow finding the archaic weapon more suited to her sense of frugality. Few deer once spotted by her and Andy her Hunter horse.
Personality:Amy is an independent girl who tends to take on tasks without asking for help believing she needs to do things on her own or she’ll appear week and vulnerable. An expert with bow from horseback she is rightly proud of her ability to kill game at full gallop with a single shaft.
She appears to people watching from the outside to be reckless as she and Andy fly over the terrain at paces that might have once been good enough to get her a seat in international competition but she is actually preparing for the day she might need all her skills to escape some unwanted fate.
A soft hearted girl Amy is still able to cool her emotions when she needs to and do what is necessary to come to the best possible solution (She is thought of as cold blooded because of how she cuts the throat of an injured horse without a tear)

I'd love to have more friends but my age and status puts me in the unenviable position of the "Outsider" because my family and I live two miles from the town/garrison and my only acquaintances are the 12 troopers stationed here to protect the Horses and other Livestock. The strange part is that I have seen at least half of the people that live around me when either I or my mother gave them riding lessons and because I was their Instructor I had to present myself as an authority which means I am referred to as "The Pony Princess" or "Horse Girl" rarely by my name; I suppose it is why I always seek out books when scavenging.

Was training to be a guard but since Damian and his father left, she's been helping out his mother (Amelia) and his sister (Kaitlyn) with medical.
Appearance
Most think that Liv is younger than she appears, with her innocent hazel eyes and her kind face. But she's seen a lot; including her dad and little brother be eaten in front of her. She mainly wears leather things, for fear of being snuck up on by a zombie. When she's comfortable though, she'll wear things that most girls wore before the apocalypse; shorts and tank tops. She sums up to be 5'4", with olive skin, and her chestnut brown hair reaches all the way down her back; she usually has her hair in a long ponytail. She is well built, having trained with Damian.
Biography
Oliva Samsuel was raised in Los Angles by her mother, Grace, and her father, David, with her little brother, Lukas. The two siblings grew up together, and Liv found herself very protective of her little brother.
Liz's father was an author, and her mother was a professor of medicine. That is, until, she was diagnosed with stage four brain cancer when Liz was eight and her brother four. Grace died within a month and a half, breaking the rest of the family into pieces. It was the age of twelve that Olivia was grateful that her mother wasn't alive; the outbreak.
The three Samsuels were in Redding, on vacation. They quickly scavenged their packed belongings and scattered from the rest of civilization, which wasn't very difficult. A quarter of a year was spent trying to survive, just the three of them. Within those ninety-one days, both Liv's father and brother died. Her father went first within a little over a month and a half, sacrificing himself to save his children. She covered Lukas' eyes as she watched and heard her dad be eaten alive. Then only twenty-two days after they watched their father die, Lukas was bitten and taken away by sickness. She watched as he grew pale and the light faded from his eyes.
For the remaining twenty-three days, she survived on her own and tried to grasp on of what was left of her humanity and childhood. It was then that a miracle occurred; a patrol from Sierra-Armstrong came by and she was taken back. There she was exuberant to find others.
Being by herself was difficult, and she was lost. Liv had no idea who to turn to because all those she would turn to were dead. Cue the Novak family to enter. She first met them when she met Kaitlyn, and then was happy to find someone a little closer to her age; Damian. She found a new family in the Novak's, and soon became great friends with Damian and grew up alongside him. She trained with him to become a guard, still unclear as to what her future held. She followed her best friend along until the day they were first ready, he and his father up and left with no explanation to her. Without guidance from her best friend, Liv turned to his mother, Amelia, and his sister, Kaitlyn, to help them out with medical. There she has remained being trained in the medical field, waiting for her best friend to come back
Personality
Liv isn't afraid to speak her mind but knows when to have manners. She's outgoing and kind and tries to speak up for what's right. Her emotions often overcome her, controlling her actions. Once she's on a roll, it's hard for her to stop. She's very passionate about her friends, and about protecting the innocent. Liv is clever, and tries to be strong and show a brave side but can't always do so. She's easy to get along with, but once you get to know her can be stubborn on certain topics. She isn't quiet, but she isn't totally chatty either.

Oliva met Damian through his sister, Kaitlyn. Unlike Kate and Liv, it took awhile for the two of them to actually become friends. It was finally she that broke the ice, asking what had happened to him before they had arrived in Sierra that had caused him to be so closed-off. She ended up confiding in him of what had happened to her while she was out there for her ninety-one days. They ended up sticking by each other's side.
Even though Liv and Kate were best friends, Liv and Damian exceeded that. They didn't need to exchange many words to know what the other really meant, and she watched him train to become a guard for a year before she finally did too (waiting to turn fourteen). They trained alongside, working together to reach their end goal of becoming soldiers. Outside of practice, they would sometimes hang together. Oliva could feel something else growing within her but before she gained the chance to figure out what to do with it, Damian left with his father.

It was a few hours after Liv had arrived in Sierra that she met Kate. She had nowhere to go, and no place to call her own. She didn't have any idea where to go, but still had wounds that needed to be professionally attended to. That's when Kaitlyn found her and brought her back to care for her. The two girls immediately hit it off, glad to have another female in their age group.
Oliva considers Kaitlyn someone she can confide in and someone who will be there for her. Liv learns how to be a nurse from Kate and in exchange, she teaches Kate how to defend herself. If it had been before the apocalypse and the two had met by coincidence, the two would have still been best friends complete with sleep overs, secrets, and an allegiance to always stay besties.

Oliva never officially met Oliver, but she's heard of him about camp. Rumors spread about, and she knows of him as the one who sprays walls trying to spark a riot. But she was there when his parents were dragged out of his house. She only watched, like many others that day. She'll always remember that there's another side to Sierra.
Liv doesn't know how to feel about Oliver. On the one hand, she doesn't feel fond towards him for trying to spark something among the people. They have something nice, why go and try to ruin it after so many years? On the other hand, she completely understands and feels sympathetic towards Oliver. She knows what it's like to lose your parents, but not like that.

Oliva knows Joseph from guard training. She knows how disciplined he has become, and how good of a soldier he is. What she doesn't understand though, is that he can't let loose. She feels he is so "stiff" all of the time, not knowing when to take things a little more lightly. She's certain that he has another side to him but can't confirm it, as she doesn't really hang with him.

Kaitlyn is a nurse practitioner, choosing to follow in her mother's footstep when her father left abruptly. She used everything she managed to glean from Amelia over the years and has become quite proficient as treating all sorts of injuries and illnesses.
Appearance:
Kaitlyn got her height from her father, standing at a taller than average height of 5'9" with a body made of taut muscles from surviving for most of her life. Maybe if the world hadn't gone to shit, Kaitlyn would have had a face considered to be pretty but these days it's usually drawn into expressions of weariness or tiredness. Her fair skin is Caucasian and slightly tanned from the North Carolina's weather, usually swathed with cuts and bruises depending on the day. Her straight, chocolate colored hair falls to her shoulders but is usually kept up in a bun or pony tail depending on the activities she's participating in. Her stormy grey eyes were inherited from her mother, though they carry a certain haunted look, like they've seen things no one should have to see. Kate normally wears a leather jacket over her tops, jeans or shorts depending on the heat, and combat boots.
Biography:
Born and raised in San Francisco, Kaitlyn and her brother Damian, were supposed to have a life of success and love. Instead what they got was the end of the fucking world. As much as she likes to think she would have survived without them, her family is the only reason she's alive to this day.
It all started when the Novak family had been visiting Adrijana, Kate's grandmother, in Northern California. What was supposed to be a relaxing vacation for the siblings and overworked parents turned into a living nightmare. The infection began during their stay with Adrijana and the Novaks were forced to leave the family estate. Kaitlyn doesn't remember much of what happened due to the trauma, but she does remember stumbling upon Sierra-Armstrong and being taken in by the Garrison.
Her early life revolved around just barely surviving, having to adjust to a whole new lifestyle. She stayed close to her family, whom were the people she ever really cared about. When Damian began to train for Guard duty, Kate chose to apprentice under her mother, who was a nurse before and after the outbreak.
She spend the next years of her adolescence helping others while trying to keep her head low as to not attract too much attention from the Garrison. Some of the soldiers took interest in some of the younger girls in Sierra-Armstrong and Kate could only guess what happened to them. Bearing this in mind she wanted to learn how to defend herself, from men and zombies alike. So, when Olivia came around, Kaitlyn was not only eager to have a friend but a mentor. Though she was closer to Damian, Kate liked to think they were friends. She would ask Damian and Olivia frequently about the things they learned as Guards, hoping to learn as much as possible.
Her whole world was flipped upside down 6 months ago when her father and brother, just up and left with no warning. All she got was a letter from her father stating he was going to try and find others as well as a cure. She bitterly remembers her brother telling her to look after her mother before taking off into the night after their father. She still remembers the tears and the confusion and the weakness she hated so much to feel. Her mother was devastated, hell, even Liv was lost without her best friend. The three ladies left behind stuck together and tended to the sick and wounded at Sierra-Armstrong, hoping Damian and Stefan weren't zombie grub.
Personality:
Having survived the zombie apocalypse for close to half of her life, most of what Kaitlyn knows is what happened after the outbreak. Kate's best quality lies in the fact that she's very adaptive. She'll do anything and everything she can to survive in this new world she has to live in. In Sierra-Armstrong, there's no place for weakness, so she shows none, there's no place for laziness, so she works hard. There's a determined and confident way about her, even though you can see the tiredness in her eyes. These days, she's not one to smile often, believing that most of her family is dead tends to kill her happiness. Kate is slow to trust and an even slower lover. She only knows a handful of decent men and her father's one of them. The only people she can say she truly loves and trusts are her family. Despite her hard exterior, much like her brother, she has a soft heart. She loves to help people, which is one of the reasons why she became a nurse. Kaitlyn at the end of the day, just wants what's best for her family and friends.
Living Arrangements:
The Novaks live in the residential section of the Garrison, conveniently close to the Med-Wing. The living space seems hauntingly empty without her brother and father to fill the void.
Possessions:
Kate normally carries around a backpack filled with medical supplies, sometimes having to stay mobile to help patients who can't be moved from where they are. She also carries around a canteen like most Sierra-Armstrong residents. By choice Kaitlyn also carries around a tactical knife in a holster as well as a flashlight, just in case. At her house she owns a few changes of clothes, books, and a couple bottles of booze she managed to sneak away from her parents. Guess even in a zombie apocalypse teenagers will still be teenagers.
Damian Novak
For most of her life, her brother Damian was always there for her. A shoulder to cry on, a protector, a friend, all those things and more. After the outbreak, family meant everything to her. They were all she truly had, and she loved them endlessly. So as you can imagine, when half of the people she held closest to her disappeared into the night with little to no warning, she was devastated. During the six months he's been gone, Kate holds resentment for her brother. For leaving her mother and herself to fend for themselves, for chasing after some dream in his father's shadow. Deep down, she feels as though she never mattered to either of them if they could just uproot and take off like they did. With Damian's return, Kaitlyn's a mess of emotions, specifically anger. Maybe finally seeing her brother after all this time will help, but maybe she'll just end up punching him in the face. It's a 50/50, you never know with Kate.
Stefan Novak
When thoughts of her father surface, mostly one reoccurring thought spirals through her brain. It's "why?" Why would he just leave like that? Why did he believe that the answers the end of the world were outside of Sierra? Why leave something as good as what they had going? They had clothes on their backs and a roof over their heads, which was way better than most could say in this undead-riddled hell. With Damian's return, Kaitlyn has more questions than answers. But the biggest one is "where the fuck is the man who raised me and loved me?" Not only is she scared to know the answer, but she's scared for her mother as well, Amelia has already gone through so much.
Oliver Allington
There's not much Kaitlyn knows about this one, honestly. Most of what she knows is rumors and word-of-mouth. She heard that both of his parents are dead and since then he went AWOL. It seems as though he's trying to spark some sort of anger from the people of Sierra-Armstrong, probably because his father was so anti-military. Kaitlyn definitely doesn't agree with Oliver's actions but she does sometimes believe that things need to change around here. Riots or rebellion wouldn't solve anything though, the Garrison was too strong, too much a part of Sierra. If the army fell so would they. They were the only reason the walls stayed up and the zombies were held at bay.
Amy Wintergarden
Amy seems like a nice woman, Kaityln's seen her around the medical wing, but they've never really talked. Though age doesn't really matter during the end of the world, it's enough of a gap that the two girls don't have much to say to each other. Maybe one day they can cross reference techniques of human medicine and veterinary medicine.
Liv Samsuel
Kate feels as though Liv and her could have been great high school friends if the world hadn't gone to shit. Obviously Kaitlyn appreciates Liv and her help watching after her mom, but how close can you really get with someone when tomorrow isn't guaranteed? Either way, Kate wouldn't trade her for anyone else, especially with Damian and her Dad gone. Not only are they friends but they've been able to leave from each other. Kate's been showing her how to heal the wounded and sick, while Liv has been showing Kate how to not be totally useless in case the worst happens. Kaitlyn forever feels indebted for what Olivia's been teaching Kate, because even though she's no MMA fighter, she does feel that she can at least protect her mother, especially since without a man to protect them some of the sleazier guys from the Garrison have taking a liking to the mother and daughter.
Joseph Briggs

Oliver Allington
There's not much Kaitlyn knows about this one, honestly. Most of what she knows is rumors and word-of-mouth. She heard that both of his parents are dead and since then he went AWOL. It seems as though he's trying to spark some sort of anger from the people of Sierra-Armstrong, probably because his father was so anti-military. Kaitlyn definitely doesn't agree with Oliver's actions but she does sometimes believe that things need to change around here. Riots or rebellion wouldn't solve anything though, the Garrison was too strong, too much a part of Sierra. If the army fell so would they. They were the only reason the walls stayed up and the zombies were held at bay.
Amy Wintergarden
Amy seems like a nice woman, Kaityln's seen her around the medical wing, but they've never really talked. Though age doesn't really matter during the end of the world, it's enough of a gap that the two girls don't have much to say to each other. Maybe one day they can cross reference techniques of human medicine and veterinary medicine.
Liv Samsuel
Kate feels as though Liv and her could have been great high school friends if the world hadn't gone to shit. Obviously Kaitlyn appreciates Liv and her help watching after her mom, but how close can you really get with someone when tomorrow isn't guaranteed? Either way, Kate wouldn't trade her for anyone else, especially with Damian and her Dad gone. Not only are they friends but they've been able to leave from each other. Kate's been showing her how to heal the wounded and sick, while Liv has been showing Kate how to not be totally useless in case the worst happens. Kaitlyn forever feels indebted for what Olivia's been teaching Kate, because even though she's no MMA fighter, she does feel that she can at least protect her mother, especially since without a man to protect them some of the sleazier guys from the Garrison have taking a liking to the mother and daughter.
Joseph Briggs
The first time Kate met Joseph when she had to patch him up after he got cut up from his guard training. She found him to be quite peculiar and jokingly called him a 'robot' due to his disciplined and serious nature. Kaitlyn enjoyed his visits, though infrequent, was a nice change of face from most of the people in Sierra-Armstrong. Aside from Damian and her father, Briggs is one of the few other men she trusts in Sierra. Though he's in the army now, she can still see the humanity in his eyes, unlike most of the other soldiers with him.

Appearance:
A tan complexion complements young Josiah’s wavy chestnut hair and almond-shaped eyes. A ski-sloped nose, occasional patchy stubble, and a mole dappling his upper right cheek are the hallmarks of the budding adult’s countenance. Josiah’s wiry frame is unlike the muscular physique of soldiers, bespeaking a more white-collar lifestyle. This, too, reflects his formal wear; often seen in a simple collared white dress shirt tucked neatly into black slacks that cuff loafers. Outside of work Josiah never strays from t-shirts of navy blue or black hues and modest, comfortable jeans.
Biography:
A child of Ojibwe and Métis heritage, Hewitt’s great-grandparents moved from southeastern Canada to the west-coast to move on from past troubles. His father, a farmer and seasoned carpenter, and mother a shopkeeper, kept to their rural estate two miles from the Sierra-Armstrong county for the early onset of the apocalypse before the burgeoning pressure of the infected, survivors, and bandits, drove them towards the promised safety of Sierra-Armstrong.
At the age of twelve Hewitt’s father was forcibly removed from the county for criticizing authorities, leaving an adolescent Josiah with his ailing mother, whose lung disease would inevitably take her life two years later. Distraught by his mother’s death and incensed by the apathy shown by the Sierra-Armstrong government, Josiah prepared to leave the county to search for his father. As he approached the looming walls of Sierra-Armstrong, however, his fury dissipated. Josiah knew all he’d find outside would be death.
Personality:
Josiah is a reticent and timid, albeit sensitive, individual. He is drawn to others for their warmth and love, but his reserved conscience and chronic anxiousness keeps him from bonding with them. This conundrum often leaves him with too many acquaintances and too little friends, a curse he considers the product of his parents' deaths. As a friend, however, Josiah exhibits motherly tenderness and effervescence, never inactive in a friend's life and always carrying a sense of responsibility for their wellbeing.
At work, Josiah is a diligent and humble worker. While he craves the coddled feeling of praise, he rarely seeks out credit or spotlight. Soft-spoken, Josiah finds himself intimidated by the dogmatism shown by soldiers and cherishes time away from militaristic aspects of the county. He enjoys the quiet of solitude his life outside of work grants him, spending his time gardening, reading, and collecting magazines.

The only Novak whom Josiah sees semi-regularly, he never fails to be impressed by the work she and her family dedicates to the medical ward. In a world with seemingly limitless pain and death, Kaitlyn seems to ameliorate it, earning his respect.
