"All of you! Listen to me; you must listen! Have you forgotten what happened to Dale? Have you forgotten those who died in the firestorm? And for what purpose? The blind ambition of a Mountain King, so riven by greed, he could not see beyond his own desire!", Bard sternly told the people of Laketown, wanting them to see the true picture of Thorin's plan.

Saeril shook her head, and her yellow-green widened as well; having to glance at Yavanna when she spook, the elder had to rethink about the purpose of this journey: reclaiming Erebor. However, an obstacle, and a dilemma, stood between them and triumph: Smaug. Looking back at the scene, she kept her hand in the princess' own, as she kept watching.

As Thorin and Bard argued, The Master spoke up. "Now, now, we must not, any of us, be too quick to lay blame. Let us not forget that it was Girion, Lord of Dale, your ancestor, who failed to kill the beast!” Alfrid was quick to agree. “It’s true, sire. We all know the story: arrow after arrow he shot, each one missing its mark.” The people turned on Bard, accusing him for Giron's failure.

Saeril then remembered that day, when the firestorm rose above this section of Middle-Earth, having to watch the smoke, and the kingdom of Dale falling. Flashbacks of fire, smoke, and screaming...

The bargeman was below the Master, and the mention of his own ancestor brought an inner anger inside himself. He saw the reality, the people didn't; not to mention the Mayor. "You have no right; no right to enter that mountain!", Bard angrily told the Dwarven prince.

Yavanna watched the argument between Bard and Thorin. She felt tense, and from the corner of her eyes. She noticed Saeril too; was feeling rather tense and worried. This Quest, was getting harder..especially since Dragons were known to guard, what was theirs...until their dying breath. And Smaug had owned Erebor and it's treasures the last 200 years. It would not come easily...to reclaim the Dwarfish Kingdom and deal with the Dragon at the same time.

Thorin glared up at Bard; his jaw clenched. "I have the Only Right!" Reminding him, of whom he was. Thorin was the true King of the Mountain. If it had not been for Smaug. He then turned around facing the Master "I speak to you. Master of this town. Will you see the prophecy full-filled? Will you, join in the wealth of our people?"

There was silence from everyone, including the Mayor. Yavanna held onto Saeril's hand feeling even more tense and worried.

"What say you?" Thorin asked looking at the Mayor.

"I say...onto you." The mayor began "Welcome...Welcome. King under the mountain." The Lake town's people cheered for Thorin and the Dwarves.

Later on,
The company were making their way towards the boat that'd take them to Erebor. They even carried gifts from the Master. Yavanna had been given two pair of daggers. It wasn't her usual weaponry, that she used. But at least it was something. As they walked, Thorin muttered "Where's Bofur?" he asked. They had not seen him, for the last few hours.

"Looks like, we might be leaving him behind." Balin muttered slightly.

As they reached the boat. Thorin stopped Kili. "Not you...we must travel at Speed. You'd slow us down." he spoke, as he helped load up the weapons into the boat.

Kili looked at his uncle, in disbelief. "What are you talking about? I am coming with you!" Kili had been looking more paler lately, over the last few hours...whiter than a ghost. But he wouldn't give up on this.
Thorin just shook his head "No...No."
Kili looked hurt, his uncle was denying him this? After all his life, waiting to see their true home. Now he wasn't allowed to go? "I am going to be there when that door opens! I will look upon the halls of our fathers..."
Thorin sighed softly, placing his hand on his shoulder. "Kili...stay here...rest. Join us when you're healed." he gently patted his nephews cheek. Kili's spirits were shattered...he walked over to one of the benches near the dock sitting down.

Watching the Scene, Yavanna saw how sad and broken Kili looked. But he did look considerably worse, since she had healed him at Bard's house...it meant the poison had spread a lot. Being the group's healer. She could not leave him, she walked over to him..rubbing his shoulder softly. "I am so sorry, Kili." she whispered...she was sorry for more than one reason.

Saeril was devastated at hearing this from the Master. This wasn't right and, while she was unaware of Yavanna having the same thought, the elder sensed that something bad was going to happen. That was when she realized that the mountain will become Thorin's undoing, as well as the horrid fate for Laketown.

Later on,
As the company was getting ready to leave for the Lonely Mountain on a barge, they had the weapons provided as they loaded their supplies, along with armor.

Fili was just about to get on the boat, until he no longer felt his baby brother following him. Turning back, Kili was being held back by Thorin. Disbelief filled him that their uncle would split them up. Never in their childhood, have they ever split up; it was impossible. Right now, he felt despair for the first time.

"Uncle, don't do this!", the elder brother jumped to Kili's defense. "We grew up on the tales of the Mountain, tales you told us; you can't take that away from him!", Fili narrowed his eyes at Thorin and went to get out of the boat to stand with his brother. "If you won't let him go, I stay. With him and Delva."

Saeril looked up from her devastating period when she heard an argument amongst Thorin and the brothers. To top it off, Kili looked saddened. What was going on? What did Thorin say to them? Curiousity and concern filled her, resulting her to approach the remaining dwarves, and sit next to the brothers, placing a hand upon Kili's shoulder, trying to sooth him of his despair.

Kili felt Yavanna and Saeril try and soothe him...not to mention...another Dwarf from their company, was fussing over him "Leave me alone." Kili grumbled...slapping his fellow Dwarf's hand away.

"I am sorry Fili. We've had enough delays already." Thorin said "One day, when you'll be King. You'll understand. I can't risk this quest, for the sake of one Dwarf...even if it's my own kin." he told his elder nephew sadly. As Fili went to step out of the boat. Thorin grabbed his arm "Fili, don't be foolish. You belong with your company." Thorin said looking at his elder nephew. Before he glanced at Yavanna, wondering if the young she-elf would follow.

"I am sorry Thorin...I can't leave Kili like this...he needs me." Yavanna told him; responding to his unspoken question to her. "I am not leaving Fili either...or Saeril." she spoke. They needed her; she considered them family. Plus, with Kili's condition seemingly worse...she had to stay.

Being stopped by Thorin, didn't stop Fili, unfortunately. All his eldest nephew DD was glare at his uncle, and yank his arm away from his grip. Walking towards Kili, he stood next to him, like he always did during their youth.

Back in the Masters house, Bofur is passed out drunk under a table when he hears trumpets. "By my beard, is that the time!?", he shouted with slurred speech before he rises until banging his head on the table. He then rushes out to join the dwarves on the dock. "Wait!"

"Go now with our good will. And may your return bring fortune to all!", the Master announces before the crowd cheers with the company setting off on the barge down the lake. At the same time, Bofur pushes through the crowd, but when he reaches the dock, he sees the rest of the company has left, and is too far down the lake for him to reach. While this was happening, Saeril and Yavanna stayed by Kili and Fili, as they watched the boat float away.

"I can't believe he would just leave us like that!", Fili growled angrily. Bofur looked to the side, hearing Fili's voice and smiled. "Oh, did you all miss the boat as well?"

"Aye, we have. We'll need to get this one indoors", Oin was grateful that Fili and the two she-elves showed up. Kili's condition hadn't stopped him from being stubborn, and he doubted he would have been allowed to get very far in tending to his injury.

"Kili?", Saeril heard Fili say, as soon as the blonde felt his brother's weight give out next to him. "Kili!?", Kili looked like he was about to pass out, having to almost fall on the spot. Hurrying to catch him, and before he could fall to the ground, the elder she-elf cradled him. Moving his ebony black hair from his face, he was in pain. Please, not now, she thought to herself. "Come on", she told the others as she held Kili in her arms, carrying him closely against her chest.

As Yavanna watched the boat sail away; she noticed Bilbo had glanced back at their little group worried. Thorin was at the front of the Barge, looking towards the Lonely Mountain as the Barge Sailed. The young she-elf was worried about Kili...he looked whiter than the palest sand. Worse than a ghost really.

"I have a bad, feeling about this." Yavanna muttered softly, as she heard Fili. She then glanced to the side seeing Bofur; he looked dissapointed, that he missed the boat. She smiled at him softly. With Sympathy. She then gasped seeing Kili almost fall over. "Kili." she said softly...he just groaned in pain, as Saeril scooped him up.

This really was bad timing. The small part of the company, walked through Lake Town. Trying to get some help for Kili, but pretty much all closed their doors...not knowing how to help a sick Dwarf. And so they ended up at Bard's doorstep again. Yavanna knocked on the familiar door..When Bard opened the door. He didn't look happy.

"No...I am done with Dwarves...go away!" He tried to close the door on them.

Yavanna caught the door, with Bofur's help. "No please...we don't know where else to go." Yavanna said.
"Kili's sick." Bofur said, glancing over his shoulder...Kili looked even more worse..barely able to keep his eyes open "He's very very sick."

As Bard finally gave them permission to enter, Oin lead them inside. With Bofur's help, they cleared the table off so that Kili might be set down. Kili was already perspiring from fever; the poison was flowing in his blood and making him deathly ill as a result.

"Set the lad down here," Oin told Saeril, as she carefully set Kili on the table, which only resulted in the youngest to cry out. Face ashen, Kili struggled against them, and he was starting to panic when he felt Oin remove the bloodied bandaging around his leg. “I need herbs, something to bring down his fever.” Oin looked to Bard, hopeful that their host might have such items on hand. Not in his right state of mind, Kili was putting up quite a fight while trying to get away from the hands that were holding him down.

Bard was frantically searching through what he had in a cabinet. "I have nightshade...feverfew...", he was looking fast, and Saeril was trying to keep it together, almost beginning to pace back and forth. "That's not good enough", she breathlessly told him. Her heart was beating quickly; images of Bolg were coming to her, and silent anger slowly boiled within her. All she could do was keep it locked up. However, Kili's cries of pain weren't helping. "Do you have any kingsfoil?", she rushed to say.

"No, it’s a weed. We feed it to the pigs", Bard explained while he frantically searched for other medicine. "Pigs?", Bofur then gets an idea. "Don’t move", he told to Kili, which Saeril didn't really think it was necessary. She knew how to heal, but she wasn't sure if she could do it; she would be nowhere as talented as Yavanna either. The elder never felt so conflicted.

Oin shook his head as he looked the injury over. In all his years as a healer, he'd never seen an injury quite like this one. There was more to this than a flesh wound; Kili had been poisoned. "There's little I can do for him until Bofur gets back," he admitted fretfully, then jumped in surprise as Kili nearly kicked him. "Lad! Hold on, now! We're trying to help!" No amount of talking was getting through to Kili, he was too wrought with pain and fading fast. At this point, he was paler than both the princess and Saeril, combined.

"Isn't there anything you can do?" Oin turned his attention to the two she-elves, and he held onto the hope that they might have that would help Kili. "You must have something...can you take this sickness from him?", he asked Yavanna.

Yavanna managed to duck out of the way, as Kili kicked his leg in her direction "Shhh...shh...it's okay...it's going to be okay." she soothed, as she stroked his arm "Fili, try and hold him down...this isn't helping him." she told his elder brother. Kili needed to lay still, or all the lashing out; would just make the poison flow bit faster. Yavanna looked through the cupboard, seeing a few clothes...she dipped one in cold water and gently brushed it over Kili's forehead...to try and bring down the fever.

Listening to the medicine Bard had...Yavanna shook her head "That's all too weak, and wouldn't get rid of the poison in his system." she muttered. "Kingsfoil has healing properties..and is used in Elvish medicine.." she informed Bard as he said he was feeding it to the pigs.

Yavanna looked at Oin. "There's a few things, but if I don't have Kingsfoil or Athelas..it won't work." she told him honestly; sadness in her eyes. For the spells she had in mind, the plant was required. Just then, Yavanna thought she heard a noise. But it was probably just something outside. She tried to shake it off.

Kili lashed out again and managed to kick her. Yavanna coughed as she didn't move out of the way in-time...as his foot got in her the chest. "Kili...it's okay, we're just trying to help you." she soothed him. Yavanna tried to get her breath back. She felt uneasy all of a sudden..and looked back at the door. Trying to shake off the bad feeling. But the doors burst open; Yavanna gasped as something grabbed her from behind; trying to choke her. She gasped...feeling strong, brutal Orcish arms around her throat.

The Princess struggled...trying to reach for her dagger. As the Orc had managed to pin her arms behind her back.

A few more orcs had piled into the house, going to attack the feeble Kili. Kili managed to kick one, but groaned falling off the table, as he did so.

Bofur was having better luck. After a through search, he'd stumbled across a pigpen. One of the pigs was chewing on something all too familiar to him -- the kingsfoil. Quickly, he ran back towards Bard's home, the weed clutched tightly in his hand. Unbeknownst to Bofur, he was leading Bolg and several orcs right back with him.

Oin did what he could to help Fili and Saeril. "Where is he?!" Bofur was taking too long. There was a loud thud on the roof, and Sigrid looked to see if Bard had returned, and she was horrified when an orc managed to make its way inside, having to scream. As if things weren't bad enough already, they were now under attack.

Shouting out loud, Oin picked up an empty bowl from the table where Bard had scattered the herbs and threw it at the Orc, having no other weapons to use. With Fili joining in to fight them off, Saeril shielded Kili, until she stabbed the Orc that had a grip on Yavanna.

Outside, Bofur was also being attacked, and just as he’s about to be killed, an arrow shot the back of the obscene creature.

Yavanna gasped for breath...as Saeril had stabbed an orc that held her tight. She spun around, pulling out her dagger before she run across the room. The orc that jumped through the window, went to attack Sigrid and Tilda. Yavanna kicked the Orc away, slicing across his throat. The orc shrieked...falling down. They really didn't need this. As if things weren't bad enough, they had to get worse.

Tauriel had made her way to Lake Town with Legolas, the pair had been tracking down the Orcs. As she fired an arrow, at the Orc that went to attack Bofur. She run towards the Dwarf. "Are you alright? Where are the others?" she asked him.

Just then, she heard a few screams coming from a house near by. Giving away the location of his friends and where the Orcs went.

Another Orc, was making it's way towards Yavanna.

The winged she-elf gripped an Orc by his back with her nail-cuffs, before he could even reach Kili, and with full-strength, Saeril threw the creature out the window, shattering it as wooden pieces fell from the impact. To get out of the ensuing chaos, she quickly and carefully moved Kili off the ground, and to the bed nearby. An orc was about to hit her from behind, but she was quick to turn around and fend it off, keeping it away from the injured dwarf.

Just as the one Orc began to advance upon the princess, an arrow hit it the head before it could reach her. Legolas appeared at the door, and sheathed his daggers to kill off the remaining creatures, who were attacking the children. He killed and slashed at another Orc who was close to hitting the she-elf, before stabbing two more nearby.

However, one of the Orcs managed to escape. "Oakenshield has gone!", he told Bolg in Black Speech, who was standing nearby. "Fall back! Regroup at the bridge!", the leader ordered as the orc pack retreats.

Hearing a thud behind her..Yavanna glanced over her shoulder. Seeing an Orc was dead behind her...and her breath caught her in her throat; when she saw Legolas. Yavanna was surprised to see the Elven Prince. But it appeared like he had good timing. He had saved her life...it took her a few seconds to recover. Another Orc jumped at her, from the window...she spun out of the way; as she saw him from the corner of her eye. With her dagger...she stabbed the new arrival of the Orc, that had jumped in from the window.

There were a few dead orcs in the room. Kili groaned in pain as he was laying on the bed. The noises and chaos seemed to echo around the small home, until the orcs that attacked the house were killed.

Tauriel fired arrows at the retreating Orcs, that run near by.

Just as they killed the last Orc, Legolas looked around at the dead bodies, before glancing towards Yavanna. Despite the fact that their goal was to figure out what the Orcs were up to, something told the Elven Prince that what he did was to return the favor for the girl who saved his life back at Mirkwood. Sheathing his daggers, his expression wasn't completely cold towards her this time; it looked almost like sympathy that was slightly apparent in his icy-blue eyes.

"You killed them all", Bain gasped in astonishment. Hearing the boy's voice, Legolas tore his gaze away from the girl, though he was still itching to look back. He had to focus on the task at hand. "There are others. Tauriel, come", Legolas said to his comrade before beginning to leave.

His new gaze towards her; left her a little bit baffled. He certainly never looked at her like that before. Yavanna's heart was racing inside of her chest. The young Princess, began to glow. It wasn't like her usual star-light glow. Something about this glow, was bit different. Almost like the Prince himself...and the feelings/connection she felt towards him caused said glow. Her eyes towards him were soft as always, filled with a kindness and appreciation, of what he done.

Tauriel had picked up the Athelas off of the ground. Unfortunately it was trampled on. She saw some growing near by; and she picked it up. Carrying the new fresh batch. And she walked over towards the house, where Legolas was. "I believe, you might be needing this." Tauriel said softly, as she gave the two-she elves a soft smile...setting the Athelas on the kitchen table.

As Legolas told her to come; she saw the Princess gazing after him. Wondering, what Legolas was planning to do once the Orcs were dead.

"I...Thank you." Yavanna managed to breathe out, as Legolas was almost out of the door. It took her a few moments, to recover from it all.

Legolas heard those words, just before he was about to disappear, and it made him halt before turning his head back to look at her, once more. "You're welcome", he had managed to speak to her; this time, in a more softer way that was far from his usual cold tone. After a few seconds of looking, he then turned away, and walked out.

Oin hurried to Kili's side, astonished to see how fast he was fading. The poison was unlike anything he was familiar with; it was too deep in his blood to withdraw, and Kili was pale as death itself. Even now, his eyes appeared clouded over and he was struggling less than before. "We're losing him", Oin feared what this may do to Fili and the rest of their kin. Dis would never forgive her brother if she found out Thorin had left his side for their quest -- no matter how important.

Bofur ran into the room, frazzled and out of breath from his run. "Will it work?", after having to already see the plants on the table.

Saeril had a blank stare upon her face once she heard that Kili was nearly close to dying. She never wanted this to happen, and it was her fault that she sent the Orcs after them decades ago. However, once she remembered Bolg, the elder acted, taking the Kingsfoil from the table. "Hold him down, this will hurt", she finally said after she took a deep breath. She was desperate to see him well again, and she will not lose him at this time. Taking the Kingsfoil in some water, the other dwarves moved the squirming Kili back onto the table. Pressing the weed against his leg, Saeril applied pressure.

"Menno o nin na honnen hon i eliad annen annin, hon leitho o ngurth", Saeril began to chant after a breath, with desperation in her voice. She looked down at the young dwarf, watching him, as she recited the chant. "Menno o nin na honnen hon i eliad annen annin, hon leitho o ngurth"

The sound of his voice, was enough to make her blush. It sounded more softer, caring almost. Watching him leave, Yavanna couldn't help but feel worried. She worried, about what he was about to step into. Especially with Bolg, around the area. Tauriel saw the look in Yavanna's eyes, before she followed Legolas; in pursuit of the other Orcs. The red haired she-elf could tell, there was something between them. A connection of sorts.
As much as Yavanna wanted to follow their footsteps, due to her worries. She felt a duty, lying here...with her friends..her family. Kili needed help.

But her mind was still filled with thoughts of the Young Prince. She rushed over towards Kili's side and she helped hold him down gently. "It should do..Kingsfoil is a strong, medicine." she said softly...having hope, that there was still time.
Kili stopped squirming as he was being held down. As Saeril chanted the spell..his eyes were slightly wide...but the pain seemed to be leaving him. Yavanna watched as Saeril began to heal, the young Dwarf. And she could feel it working..the color was slightly, returning to Kili's face...but he would still need recovery time, after all of this.

Meanwhile,
The company had already made it to the other side. They were now trecking through the Mountain. They had came to the cliffs, that overlooked the City of Dale. Bilbo looked down at the scene before him "What is this place?" he asked.
"This was the great, city of Dale." Thorin spoke, as he glanced down at the one mighty city. All in ruins.
"Now it's all ruins...the Desolation of Smaug." Balin said with a sigh.
Bilbo thought about it for a few moments "Is this, the look out place? Gandalf..." He trailed off, as Thorin soon cut in. "Do you see the Wizard? He's not here." Thorin told Bilbo "We don't have time to wait, we must go."

Saeril sighed after she stopped her chant. "He must rest now", she said to the surrounding individuals before she retrieved a wrapping bandage for the cut on her godson's leg, wrapping it. Glancing at Yavanna, the elder realized that Legolas' sudden appearance may have gotten through to her mind, and if possible, her heart. Like the winged she-elf had said earlier, she will not pry into any of the princess' business. Besides, since she was the only one so far, who knew of the girl's feelings for the prince, she will remain silent, for Yavanna's benefit.

Yavanna sighed in relief, as the spell seemed to be working. Kili blinked, as he looked at them all "Yavanna?...Fili?....Del.." he whispered, his voice weak. Yavanna smiled as she heard him, say their names. "Shhh..it's okay, we're here." she told him softly. "Just rest." she said softly.
The young Princess couldn't help but bite her lip a little, so every so often...she glanced back towards the door. Like she was expecting him to come back...but the worried look in her eyes, was clear. Yavanna couldn't help but pace back and forth..her mind swimming with thoughts. She wondered, how it was possible for her to feel something like this...without really knowing him. But the way she felt drawn to him...it was unlike anything she'd ever known.

Fili couldn't help, but internally thank both their godmother and Yavanna for saving his little brother's life from death. "Thank you", he spoke quietly in relief, and genuine thanks, to the princess, and to the figure who watched over them throughout their childhood. Saeril heard him with those Elven ears of hers, and acknowledged him with a bow of her head; her quiet sign of her generosity.

Kili wanted to protest, but he felt tired. His eyes were beginning to close, as the tiredness was winning over.

Yavanna smiled warmly at Fili, her hand squeezing his shoulder. "You're welcome." she said softly. "You're like family to me." she told him softly. But as she sat down, she leaned her head against the table...closing her eyes. Yavanna felt like her head mind burst with different thoughts. She didn't know what to do. Did she follow her mind, and stay here? Or follow her heart...that was torn between both staying here, and going after Legolas and Tauriel, to help with the hunt?

She was so deep in thought, she ignored the rumbling.

Bofur noticed the Princess slightly different behavior. Something was on her mind "Something on your mind, young one?" he smiled.
Yavanna just nodded, there were quite a few things on her mind.
