After Jen prey to Tapu Koko, she feels something cold around her ankles. “I go first if no one else wants to go first.” Jam says as she rubs her toes against one of Elisa’s tails. Maui nudge Jen’s foot to stop not knowing what the Ninetailes may do.

Elise did not seem to mind her tails being rub though she seemed curious when Jen was using her toes to rub one of her tails though she nodded to Maui as a sign to say she was fine with her tails being rub, she would only curse them if they stood on or grab one of her tails.

After Jen prey to Tapu Koko, she feels something cold around her ankles. “I go first if no one else wants to go first.” Jam says as she rubs her toes against one of Elisa’s tails. Maui nudge Jen’s foot to stop not knowing what the Ninetales may do.

"I don't mind," replied Shiranui, curious about how the Grand Trials worked. He had a hunch they were like gym battles.

"Be my guest." Liam offered.

Maui leads Jen to the spot where the battle will take place. Jen wonders if Hala is going to explain how this battle is going to happen. Is it like some of the battles she listen on tv. Maui walks away as he stands behind Jen as Jen waits for Hala to start the battle. Hala explains the rules as the battles starts as Hala chooses Manley as Jen chooses Kiwi the Pikipek as they both attack each other at the same time as Pikipek takes on some damage as the Manley is ready to continue the battle.

Shiranui scanned the Pikipek on his Pokédex. "Pikipek, the Woodpecker Pokémon. It can peck at a rate of 16 times a second to drill holes in trees. It uses the holes for food storage and for nesting." He saw its type as Normal/Flying and knew in theory Pikipek had the advantage of type whilst also knowing that matching types did not win every battle.
"Kiwi would have to be close to evolution to stand a chance of defeating Mankey," he mused, "Both Pokémon have speed and physical offence on their side whilst unable to take many hits. Jen would have to pray that Mankey doesn't have the Anger Point ability should Kiwi land a critical hit otherwise she'll be in deep trouble."

“Kiwi, Feather Dance.” Jen says as Kiwi releases a down of feathers surrounds the Manley in feathers. This lowers the attack stat of the Manley as Kiwi uses Drill peck to knock the Mankey out. A white light surrounds Kiwi as it evolves into Trumbeak. Her Rotomdex pops up, Trumbeak it can bend its beak to make diffrent sounds. It can shoots berries or seeds at it enemies. It stores seeds in its beak to scatter on the ground for berries to grow in the wild.

Hala calls Manley back and calls out Crabrawler as Kiwi attacks Crabrawler. The crabrawler pinches one of Kiwi’s legs and uses its other claw to punches Kiwi. Kiwi falls to the ground as he is KO. Jen calls back Kiwi and calls out Mako the Oricorio as Mako and Crabrawler clash against each other to see who defeat who.

Sashia cheered for Jen as she battled Hala, very happy that she was holding her own against the Kahuna so well. Epically when she watched her Kiwi evole, though she held her breath when she watched Oricorio and Crabrawler clash. When she had battled Hala, she had used Elisa.

“Teether Dance,” Jen says to Mako. Mako lands ands starts to dance, the Crabrawler became confuse and also lowers its guard to watch Mako’s hip sway. Mako quickly attacks the Crabtawler knocking it out as Mako keeps dancing. Hala sends Crawblawer back and sends out Makuhita as Mako uses a physic attack to pick up Makuhita and throws it. The Makihitagets up and attacks Mako as Mako dodges it. Jen calls Mako back and sends out Moana the Growlithe.

“Fire Wheel,” Jen says as Moana as Moana engulfs her body in flames and charges at Makuhita. As both of them clashes the out come is a double KO. Hala came over to congratulate her on winning the battle as he stamps her passport of approval. He also gives her the Fightinium z crystal and she hears a racking sound, she hopes she did not break egg while battling Hala as she avoids Sashia’s voice feeling guilty intill she check on the egg.

Liam took his position for the Grand trial. It was stated that each trainer was permitted three Pokémon. Hala sent out Mankey. Liam responded sending out Oliver, the Rowlet.
"Begin!"
"Rock Tomb!" Hala ordered.
"Leafage!" Liam repled. Oliver conjured a gust of leaf-filled wind, which chopped up the incoming rocks.
"Focus Energy!" Hala called. His Mankey began to tighten its focus as its chance of getting a critcial hit increased.
"Oliver, Peck!" The Rowlet swooped in and began to pelt the Mankey repeadetly with his beak, and was met with a Fury Swipes hitting five times, three of which were Critical. Oliver was hurt He had a green aura start to surround him, which Liam recognized as Overgrow. Oliver may not last too much longer, but in exchange his grass attacks got a power boost. "Razor Leaf into Astonish!" Liam called. Oliver conjured a furry of sharp leaves that flew toward Mankey, which was a distraction that allowed Oliver to sneak up behind Mankey and give it a good scare. Oliver was lucky enough that he managed to make Mankey jump into the oncoming leaves, and cause it to be KO'd. Hala recalled Mankey and Liam told Rowlet to come back and take a breather. Jangmo-o went out in his stead. Hala sent out Makuhita.
"Heavy Slam!" Hala called.
"Noble Roar!" Liam called. Jangmo-o let out a roar that lowered the attack and sp ask of Makuhita, lowering the already buffed damage of Heavy Slam due to the weight difference. Jangmo-o was still hit by the attack. Liam told Jangmo-o to use Work up to buff his attack and sp atk while Makuhita used Arm Thrust, getting four hits.
"Dragon Claw!" Liam called. Jangmo-o slashed Makuhita, getting a KO. Hala was now down to one Pokémon while Liam still had all three, one of which hadn't been used yet. Hala next sent out Crabrawler.
"Crabrawler, The Boxing Pokémon. A Fighting Type While guarding its weak points with its pincers, it looks for an opening and unleashes punches. When it loses, it foams at the mouth and faints.They have been known to mistake Exeggutor for a coconut tree and climb it. The enraged Exeggutor shakes it off and stomps it."
"Alright Jangmo-o, you ready too continue?" Liam asked. Jangmo-o nodded in agreement.
Hala's Z-Ring began to glow as Hala breify stompped around and than thrusted his palms forward multuple times. Crawbrawler began to use the Z-move, All out Pummelling. The Z Move KO'd Jangmo-o. Liam recalled him and sent Oliver back out. Oliver was still worn out, but other than him, Liam only had Moony the Rockruff, who would be at a disadvantage, and Dragonite who would likely railroad Hala's Pokémon. "Razor Leaf!" Liam called. "Bulk up!" Hala called. Crabrawler increased his attack as he was scraped by the leaves.
"Now, do a corkscrew Peck attack!" Oliver began to spin inward as he flew toward Crabawler.
"Dynamic Punch!" Hala called. Crabawler leapt into the air in an attempt to knock Oliver out of the sky. The attacks met, making both Pokémon fly backward and crash. Oliver was KO'd, and Crabrawler was hurt. Liam sent Moony out. Moony happily yipped as he took his place. Liam used the Normalium Z and had Moony use Breaknek Blitz, KO'ing Crabarlwer and giving Liam the win. Hala handed off the Fightium Z, as well as told Liam more about the Z-Crystal that Tapu Koko gave him.
"That is a Dragnium Z, which allows use of the move, Devesating Drake" Hala explained, He also showed Liam the movements needed for the move. Once Hala was ready to go, he took on the next challenegr.

Shiranui took his place after concocting a strategy and after being reminded that the battle was a three-Pokémon single battle, he sent Okami out while Hala sent his Mankey out. "That was a bold opening, Shiranui," Hala stated, "Sending out a Pokémon with a type disadvantage."
"I'll show you why with this opening move," Shiranui rebutted, "Okami, show Mankey the move we worked on! Use Zen Headbutt!"
"Mankey, Karate Chop!" Both Pokémon charged at each other. Okami focused her willpower to her head, causing it to glow with iridescence while Mankey readied a paw for a chop. Both attacks landed, stirring up a cloud of dust. The dust settled and both Pokémon were knocked out, in Okami's case from a critical hit.

"I'm impressed with that one, but the trial is not over yet," commented Hala, "Makuhita, you're up!"
"Okami, return; Ikari, I choose you!" Shiranui switched out his downed Rockruff and sent his Bagon out while Hala switched Mankey for Makuhita.
"Makuhita, Fake Out!"
"Ikari, Rage!" Makuhita delivered a hit that made Ikari flinch.
"Makuhita, Arm Thrust!"
"Ikari, Headbutt!" Ikari charged in with her head lowered and delivered a powerful hit that left Makuhita briefly winded. Makuhita retaliated with a flurry of arm thrusts that scored three hits on Ikari.
"Makuhita, Heavy Slam!"
"Ikari, Dragon Claw!" Ikari delivered a slash with her stubby arm and Makuhita was down for the count.

Hala switched out Makuhita and sent Crabrawler out. Shiranui knew the real battle had started as he switched Ikari for Ashika. Hala performed a sumo stomp before doing an imitation of the Arm Thrust move. "All Out Pummelling!"
"Ashika, use Perish Song!" Crabrawler conjured an orb of energy that surrounded one of its fist-like claws and struck Ashika with the powerful move. The Brionne survived the move and her Torrent ability activated. Ashika sung a haunting requiem that set the clock ticking.
"Crabrawler, Power-Up Punch!"
"Ashika, use Growl!" Crabrawler punched Ashika and the Brionne fainted from the hit.

Shiranui sent Ikari back out. "Crabrawler, use Power-Up Punch!"
"Ikari, Ember!" Crabrawler charged at Ikari and right before the hit landed, Ikari dodged the attack. The Bagon launched a shower of embers that singed Crabrawler for minor damage.
"Crabrawler, Power-Up Punch and make it count!"
"Ikari, Dragon Breath!" Crabrawler threw a punch at Ikari and scored a good hit that left Ikari prone. Ikari struggled to get up and when she finally did, the Bagon launched a gust of draconic energy that barely missed Crabrawler. Crabrawler was stricken with a crimson glow as Perish Song took effect and not long afterwards, fell on its front knocked out.

Hala handed Shiranui a Fightinium Z and congratulated him on his victory.

Sashia heard the cracking sound but instead of being angry liked Jen though instead Sashia hugged her and said "Congratulation on beating Kahuna Hala, looks like someone else is excited to meet you". She walked to Maul to pick up the hatching egg and handed it to Jen. So when it fully hatched, Jen would be the first face she saw while Sashia began to make some food for the Riiolu that was best suited for her spicies.

Jen becomes surprise as Sasha hands her the egg. “I would be mad at myself if any thing happens to the egg that may hurt her.” Jen says to Sasha as the egg continue to hatch. Maui nuzzles Jen’s leg as he is happy that the Rioul hatch and her winning her first battle against a trainer. Jen heals her Pokémon as the Riolu looks at Jen as Jen sees a shape of her Riolu. “About we name her Aura,” Jen says to Maui as he barks in agreement.

Chuck was up next, sending out Ariel the Popplio against Mankey. The Mankey charged with a Cross Chop, but Ariel dodged and got in a point blank Disarming Voice, knocking it out. Next up was Makuhita who started off with an Arm Thrust, which hit Ariel several times. She retaliated with another Disarming Voice, which knocked out Makuhita. Finally, Hala sent out Crabrawler. Crabrawler attacked with a Power-up Punch, but Ariel dodged it and fired off one more Disarming Voice, which KOed Crabrawler, earning Chuck the Fightinium Z. Ariel and Kite both glowed as they evolved into Brionne and Charjabug.

"Well, since we all have complete the trial, lets go get a boat to the next island, after healing up at the Pokemon Center first that is." Liam proposed.

"Sounds like a plan," Shiranui agreed. He was curious about Akala Island.

"Sounds good to me!" Chuck agreed.

“Sounds good to me to,” Jen says as Maui barks as Aura cuddles up in Jen’s arms. To her it been awhile since she visit Akala island.

Sashia agreed just as she finished the Riolu food which she put in a bottle and gave it to Maul since Jen hands were full with Aura. "Here, when she's ready to go into a ball to be an official member of your team, you should use this luxury ball. It builds friendship quicker so she can evole into a Lucario" Sashia said to Jen, Maul and Aura as she made sure Maul could carry the items since his midnight form stood on two legs and could hold things.

She then turned her attention to everyone as she said "There are two ways to get to Akala Island, boat or Mantine surf. Martine surf is more fun but you could hurt yourself"

At the Pokémon Center, Liam handed his Pokémon over for healing.
