Name: Thomas Clark
Age: 43
Powers: Emotion Manipulation

Appearance: He's a little above six feet tall and lanky. His hair is more of a salt and pepper color, and his eyes are a light brown. He's always nicely dressed, generally going for a button up shirt and blazer more than a full suit.

History: Thomas knew at a young age that he was special. He wasn't aware of his powers but he was born in a rather well off family and he was an only child for most of his life and given quite a good life. Though, in his teenage years, his parents had another child, Thomas' sister. His parents started to take notice of things that Thomas was able to get away with for the longest time. They started caring about how well he did at school, in which he really wasn't doing well in. The only thing he seemed to really excel in was music and his parents found that to be unfit for a career path.

His parents, attempting to get Thomas to work harder at school pulled him out of his orchestra class and pushed him to focus on his studies. When he still wasn't doing as well as they wanted him, they started to take other things away. He was frequently kept from his social life and from any sort of hobby he had. Unfortunately, he still wasn't doing well enough for them. He was in a constant state of anxiety and helplessness. Every time he showed his parents another barely passing test, and sat through another lecture, he just wanted them to feel how he felt. He wanted them to realize that he was trying his best, but he just wasn't particularly good at most things. He was just average.

One day, when he came home and was about to show his parents another graded paper and his anxiety was getting particularly bad, his dad had a panic attack before even seeing the paper. It was out of nowhere and after that, both his parents started acting strange. His dad had frequent panic attacks before looking at anything Thomas had done and his mother seemed to be under constant stress. Thomas didn't quite understand what was going on until his mother lashed out in anger from all of the stress. She was close to actually hitting Thomas when suddenly all of that anger turned into fear and that fear turned into surprise. Thomas realized that his parents were actually feeling what he was feeling.

After figuring out what was going on, he started to figure out the extent of his powers. He started to figure out what he could do with them. And his parents did too. They decided that it'd be for the best if he didn't live with them anymore once he was eighteen. They decided that he was a disappointment to the family and that he would have to figure out his own place in the world. So, when he turned eighteen he left.

He decided to pick up the violin again when he moved out and eventually found a small band to be part of. This band played regularly at small bar. Thomas and the bar owner became rather good friends and when the owner died, Thomas took over. He expanded the bar into a club and made it a place for people to just get away from everything going on outside. He started working with others that had super powers, taking in those that wanted to still be civilians. He made it his job to make sure his staff was taken care of and to keep the place club running.



Name: Gabrielle "Gabbie" Peterson
Age: 22
Powers: Hypnosis through song
Position: Wait staff
Appearance: Gabbie is of average height and build. She dresses in mostly comfortable clothes when she isn't working and always brings her backpack with her.

History: Gabbie always felt like she grew up with a single mother. She had a father, but he was barely around and when he was he wasn't the talkative type. Her mom was quite overbearing, constantly looking over Gabbie's shoulder and getting involved in everything. This was most likely because Gabbie was born with a stutter. Her stutter made her an easy target in school and adults were quick to assume other things about her. Her mother probably became very defensive over it.

Gabrielle tried her best to just keep her head down and continue on with her life. That was until a teacher suggested that she join the school choir, because singing can help with stuttering. She wasn't too interested, but after making a passing comment about it to her mother, she was forced to join. Things were strange on the first day, people around her were constantly dazed and confused and snapping out of it only to go back to the same state moments later. Things never got better after that. It happened often, but she continued to stay. The choir teacher was nice and had told her that she sang beautifully.

It wasn't until Gabbie tried out for her first solo that she realized what was going on. She sang in front of her teacher and her teacher got that dazed look that other students were always getting when she sang around them. She would pause and her teacher would snap out of it, so Gabbie would continue only for it to happen again. She realized that somehow, she was doing this. Later, Gabbie realized that if she sang it she could get people to do certain things for her. It only worked if it was something that person would do anyway, but she still found it to be great.

Gabrielle decided to leave her overbearing mother after high school and try to make it on her own. She didn't make it very far and ended up going back home after three years of struggling to make a living. Her mom demanded that she go to the local community college, which she did. Then there was word that Club Codename was looking for live performances and her mom had gotten it into her head that Gabrielle should try out to be a singer at the club. Gabbie, not wanting to argue or explain to her mom that the club was definitely not looking for solo singers, went to the place after classes one day. She ended up applying to be part of the wait staff after the owner talked to her for a bit. Now she's the newest staff member of Club Codename, though if you ask her mom she's a regular singer at the club.

Name: Jacob "Brawn" Jonsen
Age: 23
Powers: Super Strength and Impervious to Pain
Position: Chef
Appearance: Tall and a slightly larger than average build, around 220 pounds with a bit of pudge around his waist, he looked like the typical restaurant chef.

History: Born to a normal father and a mother his powers were mysteriously inherited.  His father being a deadbeat was out of his life by his first birthday leaving him to be raised by his mother with 3 siblings, 2 sisters and a brother, being the youngest he would always help his mom in the kitchen, building his love for food and cooking.

As he grew up he found himself far stronger than most other kids and never feeling pain despite getting into all sorts of accidents.  His ability to soak up pain started slowly, never feeling pain but his body showing the signs of the accidents though the older he got his skin would show no signs anymore.

As he got older he found that while it was fun, super hero work wasn't for him.  Finding a job was his priority, 1 that fit him perfectly and he landed a job as a chef.  Spending his time hopping from restaurant to restaurant in hopes of landing a job he found himself at Club Codename.  Being impervious to pain was a perk, never getting burned or cutting himself with a knife.  Finally finding his spot in the world he made the most of it.

Name: Donavan "Donnie" Citrilin (Sit-trill-in)

Powers: Telepathy and Empathy/Empathic Suggestion.

History: Donnie was born in a cold alley in the dead of one of New York's harshest winters. His mother- 17 and homeless after her parents found out about her pregnancy- OD'd on the drugs she was using to keep the pain of the birth at bay. She died without once holding her child. The newborn had screamed and cried and coughed for the next hour before anyone walked by. When he was dropped off at the orphanage, no one was told what had happened to his mother, just that he'd been found on Death's doorstep due to exposure. He would ask the staff many times over his years what happened to his mother, his father, but he'd never get an answer.

This led to him being quite closed off in his formative years, thinking that his own parents had abandoned him and so will anyone he gets attached to. He fell in with a bad crowd starting in middle school and by his sophomore year he had joined a local gang. He never went back to school after that despite how well he did and the advanced rate he'd learned at; had his history been different, he would most likely have been an upstanding Honors student.

A year after he'd joined the gang, Donnie began getting headaches and random mood swings, whispers in the peripheral of his hearing that had him spinning around to find the source. It all built up until one stand off over territory just after he'd turned 18, where he was suddenly crippled by an intense fear that caused him to break out into a sweat of his own. His head felt like it was splitting with the rush of thoughts of "Kill or be killed, kill or be killed, killorbekilled-" and by the time his vision evened back out, there was a kid standing in front of him, even younger than when he himself first started. The kid had a gun pointed shakily at his chest and he couldn't think of anything to say under the foreign thoughts pressing in, nothing but "Killorbekilledkillorbekilledkillor-" before a gunshot rang out- so, so close to him- and a pain in his chest brought him to his knees before the suffocating darkness brought him all the way down.

After he was healed up and released from medical, he was put on trial and sentenced to serve 2 to 3 years for felony gang activity; two of which he dutifully served in prison, getting a hang of his powers and occasionally convincing guards to put him in isolation when he couldn't keep his walls up. His third year he was put on parole for good behavior, and after that he was a free man.

He began hanging around bars and talking with the bartenders, watching them as they worked and enjoying how most of them kept their thoughts geared toward finishing up and going home. He enjoyed the monotony of it. One day, in a bar he'd been a regular at for a couple years, the owner was scrambling to deal with the crowd due to his bartender coming down with something and none of his on-call employees picking up. Head buzzing from the man's frantic thoughts and feelings- and in a bit of a tight place financially- Donnie offered to cover the night for nothing more than the tips people give him. The rest of the night was spent listening to problems and mopping up spills, reassuring people with the slightest grazing touch. He was given a more permanent position once closing time came around, and he worked there for a year before a recruiter for the club came by and gave him the offer of pay and benefits he couldn't refuse.

He's been working at the club for the past two years now and he's come to enjoy being everyone's confidant, even before they got to the level of drunk that usually comes with oversharing. He likes to think he's cut out his own little corner of the world in the club, and that he's finally found people that would want him; the only reminder of his difficult past being the puckered scars from his teenage years and the indecipherable look he gets when he sees a child with their parents.

Name: James "Gem" Albright

Powers:

Telekinesis: The ability to manipulate physical matter without physically touching it. In simpler terms... he can bend spoons and pick shit up with his mind.
Twin Telepathy: He can communicate with his sister, Jessica, at any time if he chooses to due to their special connection.
Hardened Mind: While his mind can be read by his sister from the other side of the world, most telepaths find themselves unable to break into James' own mind as a result of psychological training... Though one who tries hard enough may be able to break inside that fragile skull.

Position: Wait Staff
Appearance: Somewhat tall and lanky, James finds little need for physical exercise when he can complete even the most basic tasks with his mind. He stands at about 6' 3" and weighs in at only 130-140 lbs. Tends to wear button downs with suit jackets, though switches a suit coat for a pea coat in the winter months.

History:

James and Jessica Albright have been through some of the worst shit the world could throw at a couple of kids. But they made it through all of it together. The twins of a single drug addict, James and Jessica never got to know their mother before Child Protective Services whisked them away, and the two kids were put in the system. They must have been eight when they realized they were different from other kids. The twins would sit in a room for hours never speaking a single word, except for the odd giggle.

Whilst odd, the two children were lucky enough to find themselves placed within the home of the Albrights, a wealthier family living in an estate in the suburbs. James and Jessica were treated rather well, almost like royalty by their adoptive parents. It wouldn't be until the two were 12 that they realized it had been the whims and desires of his sister, who had always managed to probe the minds of their parents.

See... Jess never heard random voices like one would expect. But what she could do was accidentally plant thoughts and suggestions in others' heads. It was most likely how the strange children were adopted in the first place. James, on the other hand... his abilities didn't manifest dramatically until he was in danger.

The Albright's were nearly killed by the aftermath of a tense battle in which Zeus the Mighty was wreaking havoc. A stray bus came barreling towards the family's car, when suddenly it just... froze in the air. They managed to drive away before it resumed its crash into the ground, and it would only be in the following weeks when James realized it was him. He almost immediately took to learning the extents he could push his powers, having the delusion that he could one day become a hero to fight crime.

Those dreams were somewhat crushed when James and Jess turned 18 in their senior year of high school. The same day as their birthday, their parents were in town making the preparations for the twins' birthday party. It was a tragic loss when the news showed devastation at the cake shop where the parents were at. It would take an hour for the kids to learn their parents were at the shop, and another hour to learn of the passing.

The children, for some stroke of luck, had immeasurable wealth thrust upon them in their inheritance. Jess, who sought to change the world, set up a charity in honor of her parents and immediately began working with international relief efforts, traveling the world. James... he decided to try and go to college to become a lawyer like his father. That was until James realized he wasn't fond of "studying" and ended up dropping out of university. He ended up moving into the metropolis he grew up outside of, getting a lackluster apartment and taking classes at the community college. He wanted to at least get a degree, and figured he might as well try to transfer into the local state college within the city once graduating.

To keep himself out of trouble (and skim a little alcohol here and there), James ended up applying for a job at a local club he frequented, a place where powered individuals like him felt like they could belong. He enjoyed the atmosphere, and figured at the very least he'd be able to pick up on interesting stories from various superhumans.

- Teleportation - Alexis can teleport herself to a range of 500m without any problems but can teleport to about 2km with a powerful headache and a strong dizziness. She can also teleport other people and objects to a range of 10m but only as long as she can see them.
- Healing factor - Alexis can heal wounds/broken limbs faster than a normal human (,think let's say a week for a broken arm instead of 2-3 weeks or light cuts in about 2-3 minutes) but not fast enough to be impervious to attacks.

History:
Alexis was born in a regular family with 2 parents that worked as much as they could to provide Alexis a nice life. She always had a talent to act and her parents supported her by letting her take acting classes until one day, when she got lucky and was chosen to star in a soon-to-start famous child TV show. 
Her life and that of her parents changed considerably after that. At the age of 9, almost everyone knew the name of her character and hers. Children would sing her songs and wish they had Alexis's life.
When the TV show ended because Alexis got older, she joined up another show as a secondary character. This show was about superheroes and Alexis, being a sucker for anything superhero related (despite that she didn't have any powers at that time), involved herself fully in the show.
When she was 17 years old, fate smiled upon her again. One morning, she was late to school and while running, a car hit her. Or, it would've hit her if she didn't teleport the car 5m in the air. 
The driver wasn't injured too bad and decided not to make a formal complaint to the cops because his daughter was a long time fan of her show. 
Alexis's parents urged her to not reveal to the world that she had powers and she listened to them, for a time. 
After taking some martial arts classes and making herself a suit, she took to the streets to join up the other wannabe heroes. That was the mistake that changed her life forever. 
Upon trying to capture some drug dealers, one of them recognized her voice from the show. He gave a few phone calls from the jail and in a weekend when Alexis was away to film the last episode of the superhero show she was in, a few guys went to her house, killed her parents, filmed everything and sent it to Alexis. 
She was devastated when she heard and her life when down in spiral after that, she quit acting and heroism in a single day. Sold everything she had and moved away from the city. 
A few years later, life found her in search for a job. With her martial arts and powers, she found a job at club Codename. A refuge for superpowered people, just like her.
