To be honest, it's mostly just so we can deposit and trade memes, but I do find that it helps organize everyone more. That said, if not everyone uses it, then I think we can make do without it.

As far as posting now goes, I just came from a wedding reception, so if I don't fall asleep in the next hour, I think I might try slipping a post in since I got a wave of inspiration!

I think mages would have the good old "spells per day" function. I'm not sure how many charges Orena and Mallory will have each -- but at first season it shouldn't be more than three or four casts, I think. I would be open to input.

Think it'd be better to just set it as a nebulous mana use. Or, if you're going to go with spells as bullets, to give em a cantrip as well so they're not doing nothing when they run out of spells.

In Goblin Slayer, at least, it seems like you only get 1-2 spell casts as a newbie.

In Goblin Slayer, at least, it seems like you only get 1-2 spell casts as a newbie.

Mana as stamina (ala Kunosuba) would make the most sense, but we still should only have like 2-4 spells/spell-like abilities at start. Does that work?

I feel like if we’re limiting spells per day, they should also have effects more profound than non-spell skills while also not overshadowing them! That does sound hard, tho...

Magic has always kinda been like... weaker at the early end, but high end is all super duper. It's about how it is used and such. Also kinda dark fantasy-influenced so magic isn't gonna help much if used wrong. Monsters suck.
