It was just another day. Send continuous power to the prison from within the light reactor. I led a simple life and one that I knew well. Spending my days in meditation, refracting, intensifying light. The prison and I had a symbiotic relationship in a way that I supplied it power and it gave me nutrients collected by different stars as we zoomed past them. Oh that's right, the prison is on a huge meteor that was captured by the Nova Corps then set back into motion after it had been converted into a prison. Its location was only known to the Nova corps and select bounty hunters that the Corps trusted. I had found all this out due to the light waves collected also carry on them information that my inner facets send to my core to be translated. You see I am a Petro-sapien, a being of crystalline nature that looks similar to a humanoid creature. My race is highly intelligent and strategic as is our growth. Our race transfers knowledge through light waves as well as gain our nutrients from those light waves. We can also speak through time. It's a rare ability and an old one that mostly only The Conglomerate knows. On this day I had received one of those messages...from my...father.

During meditation that morning my body froze as I heard the whispers "Son. You need to listen. I am Topaz, one of the Conglomerate. I am a father of yours, in the time you receive this our race will be gone. Destroyed by a being called Thanos. It is too late for that and for me to send you this message you cannot return home. I am sorry to burden you with this and the information you are about to receive. You and a group of strangers must escape the prison you are in. A being called Hades is taking over very slowly before he takes over the second and first floors then the bridge you must escape and make sure..." flashes of people he didnt know flew through his mind. "...that these people escape with you." I am send a life line from the future to help you. Once you have escaped you must find some way to stop Hades. He must not be allowed to get to a place called Earth. If he succeeds then that planet will perish and they will be needed in a coming war with Thanos. To save our people you must stop Hades. The last of this light wave is a knowledge burst. Somethings you wont have access to right off the bat but in time you will have all the knowledge of the Conglomerate. Good luck." With that his message was done and a burst of knowledge filled his crystal being and a name flashed in his mind. PRISM. Things he was never taught as he was to just be a simple power crystal flowed through him and changed his very growth. Then his facets shifted and he grew tall and his arms lengthened till he resembled a large humanoid. Filling the space he was in a warning began to flash on the console for reactor overload.

The console was manned by a Corpsman who then sounded an alarm warning that they needed to shut off the solar receivers. Which they did but the warning continued. Somewhere on the bottom of the meteor the being called Hades felt something was going wrong and hastened his take over.

All at once it happen. The lower cells were flooded with a black substance and then opened. The substance drained away leaving gargling sounds coming from the prisoners within. Alarms went off for a jail break the bridge was being evacuated. The reactor exploded but not in a destructive way that an explosion happened. Crystals flew out and too certain cells and people who gave off the frequencies that Prism had received. Each would stop in front of the person and emit a frequency they could hear and understand as speech.

"My name is Prism. I am here to lead you to an escape route. Please follow me as the prison is about to explode."

Once those crystals had flown off Prism emerged and slammed the floor sending a wave of bio organic crystalline through the floor and cut off the third floor from the second just as a wave of creatures that used to the prisoners tried to get to the door to the stairwell. "That should buy us a little time. Lights when off on some of those floors as power was no longer being supplied. Chaos had erupted on the bridge and the Nova Corps were now fighting off black ooze that had started seeping through the floor. Some of them fell and was taken over by the ooze. Seeing this the crew of the prison Zeon began to escape in their ships and pods contacting headquarters for backup.

As the scene unfolded a couple of ships were left and Prism made his way too one large enough to help him and his escapees away from this place. With that he began to power up the ship waiting on the others and defending the ship.

Typical. Just freaking typical.

The jail just had to be attacked when he was delivering his latest bounty (Some purple haired idiot crowing about being the great Skull-sama). At least this time it didn't seem to be targeting him specifically.

I swore as I noticed the black ooze curling around the corner. Klyntar were enough of a headache on normal idiots, but coupled with intergalactic criminals? There was not enough money in the galaxy to deal with that shite. Drawing his blade, he began cleaving his way through the consumed idiots, the runes on his sword glowing as black lightning forced the ooze to stay away.

After a few minutes of forcing his way back to his ship, a crystal appeared in front of him. Strange, I didn't think they had one of those as a prisoner... have the Nova Corps been naughty again? Nevertheless, if this crystal can lead him through a path of least resistance, then he would see where the thing leads.

The blue liquid in special security cell #234Z didn’t appear to respond to the warning from the crystal. That was because Inque was much more interested in getting out of its cell now that the security systems penning it in were down. This included the hated liquid nitrogen spray nozzles which the guards would spray to stop any escape attempt. But now, with all of them down, the blue liquid suddenly transformed itself into a large mass which slammed itself into the plastasteel window facing the prison walkway. Over and over again, it crashed against the window. At first it didn’t appear that any damage was done, but eventually a small crack appeared in the pane. That was all Inque needed to escape, She flowed into the crack, widening it as she pushed herself forward to spill out onto the catwalk. She was soon out of her cell, covering the floor. But she was exhausted from breaking out of her cell. Inque needed to feed, and soon. The guards had deliberately kept the amount of “food” Inque received low to keep her weak. And she was ravenous.

But fortune smiled upon her. Just as she finished exiting her cell, she could feel the tremors of two humanoids running towards her. They were a pair of Nova Corpsmen, who were trying to escape from the mob of freed prisoners. They didn’t see Inque, who had camouflaged herself as part of the floor. They both stopped to stare at the floating crystal, and were right in the middle of Inque’s spread out body.

A pair of blue waves swept up from the floor and closed over both of the guards who screamed in terror. There screams were cut off as Inque covered them both with her liquid form. Inque’s neurotoxin quickly took hold, and both were paralyzed almost instantly. That made it so much easier to feed on their life energy. It took only a few moments for them to be drained.

“Ahhhh,” Inque said as she finished feasting on their life force. “Much better.”

Now that Inque had regained a significant amount of power, it was time to figure out what was going on, and what the crystal meant by the prison exploding. Inque was vaguely aware that something was wrong in the prison, but that was all. The answers apparently lay with the crystal which had hovered nearby and had done nothing as she fed on both corpsmen. Inque pulled herself together into her more common form, a dark blue humanoid figure devoid of any details or facial features save a single white spot for a “face.”

“Lead on, little friend,” Inque said as she began to follow it, leaving the two dead guards and her “escape proof” cell behind.

Tamarr Ruzunn wasn't much the troublemaker within the confines of the prison. Was he prone to a small brawl here and there? Yes. But a man with a mysterious past would likely get a few questions. If that wasn't enough, it quickly became known upon his arrival to the prison that he'd been former Nova. That, coupled with the fact that he was clearly not a friend to the guards, meant he was alone. So, he kepted to himself, choosing not to approach or fight anyone he didn't need to. Those who chose to come for him would quickly find that to have been quite a mistake as he'd put them down easily. He was used to dealing with all sorts after all.

Still, what was going on in the prison... This... This was somethign out of a nightmare that would have left him speechless, save for the one phrase that could apply to just about any out of the ordinary occurrence.

"What the fuck?"

What was going on? Zeon was under attack, but it was one of the most secretive, high security, space fortresses currently under the care of the Nova Corps. So, what the hell was going on? "Hey! Guard! Guard!" He tried to call out from his cell before the explosion and the power disturbance. It didn't matter though. All hell was breaking look and he was gonna have to fend for himself if he wanted to survive. At least, that's what he thought when the crystal came to him.

"Well, that's new." He commented a slight hint of surprise buried under the more serious demeanor kept under the circumstances. It was almost as though he were saying, 'yeah, this might as well happen' as he charged out of his cell. He was immediately met with a few of his neighbors, who didn't seem to grasp the severity of the situation.

"Tamarr Ruzunn... You son of a-"

"Yeah, I'm gonna have to stop you right there. I'd love to sit and gab with your ugly mug Clicky, but look around. There's some bad juju going on and we've gotta either contact the Nova Corps or just try to get out."

"That's Klintikaz, maggot." The larger humanoid alien sneered, completely disregarding the brunt of Tamarr's warning.

"Looks like we're doing this." Tamarr responded charging forward. He watched carefully as the brute swung wide with his right arm. That was a feint. He quickly followed with a left straight, but Tamarr was prepared. He swiftly pivoted, moving out of the way in order to counter with a few well placed, powerful blows to the wrist, elbow, and shoulder joints of the big man. He roared in pain, his lackeys shocked. Normally, Tamarr would play along. Didn't wanna draw attention. Also didn't wanna give the guards a reason to think he was anything than a normal prisoner. But right now, not of that mattered.

"You little!" Klintikaz raised his right arm to swing down, but Tamarr was ready. He had faced bigger opponents. He turned his back to the man as he reached up to grab his wrist and used the momentum to swing the larger male over his head and directly into the ground.

"If I were you, I'd take him and get the hell out of here." Tamarr warned the grunts before charging past the scared shitless fools. He had been meant to follow the crystal, but there was something he needed first. "Can you relay a message?" He asked quickly. He didn't wait for a response though. "I'm going to message and warn Nova Prime. This is big news and I may be able to override some of the passcodes. Then, I need to get to the armory. I have a weapon there that'll be essential to anything going on." He added hoping he was right and the crystal could do so.

And like that he was on to the primary control room. It wouldn't be hard to find. And if he was lucky, he would find exactly what he needed. Until then, he had to work hard to avoid whatever the hell was about to bring this ship down.
