Allow me to create characters as examples to help folks out.

Name: Ronan Stark

Country of origin: United States of America

Class (AKA Specialty): Commando, reconnaissance. 

Appearance: Without his armor, he has red hair and hazel eyes.

Bio: Originally raised by adopted parents, his life turned upside down after the Emergence Entity took over. He was put into a facility to indoctrinate him into the peace-keepers and trigger-happy puppets for the alien occupation of the planet; a generic goon for a one-world dictatorship! However, he refused to be their slave. Giving them the slip, he survived on the fringes and criminal underworld. During his time since escape, he formed valuable connections that helped him out more than once. This eventually led him to meet the upstart resistance movement, Project Griffin.

Shooting first and asking questions later helped him survive on the streets. A man of few words, he knew actions spoke louder. Over the years, he developed a doctrine against the aliens: Ronan prefers stealth first, then attacking with a barrage of buckshot.

Personality: As the first one in and the last one out, brash, brave, and bold are the three "B's" when on the field.  Out of the field, he doesn't speak unless spoken to.  He is selective in speech to reflect being a man of few words.  Generally is no-nonsense in the fight for Griffin.  However, he may have his moments...

Name: Shahab Eftekhari

Country of origin: United States of America

Class (AKA Specialty):  Bombardier, demolitions expert

Appearance: Under the armor is brownish-to-rusty hair, and green eyes. He often shaves, leaving a stubble under the gas mask.

Bio:  Born to Iranian-American immigrants, he was raised with two other siblings. They were all well off by the time the Xenos arrived. When his little brother was taken by the Emergence Entity, he stopped what he was doing and banded together with his sister to find him. He didn't think the Xenos were malicious until they came for the little brother. Working under the table with his sister, they eventually discovered Griffin and joined up.

Personality: Tactful and refined, Shahab is well-mannered and diplomatic like most of his race. His goody two-shoes demeanor may be irritating to the jaded, but he merely wishes to prevent his organization (Griffin) from stooping down to the Xenos' levels. The Iranian-blooded bombardier believes that if they act barbaric, they'll be just like the Xenos they hate. He also advocates a logical and open-minded approach, believing that "if you are too close to the elephant, you won't see the whole elephant." The big picture must be reviewed before taking action.  His engineering background provides him with the mentality and the aptitude for being a bombardier and with repairs if needed.

Name: Laleh "Lily" Eftekhari

Class (AKA Specialty): Apothecary, specializing in healing (Mender)

Appearance: Dyed dirty blonde hair typically in a bun, alabaster skin tone from avoiding the sun and copious amounts of sunscreen, brownish eyes typically concealed with sunglasses, and the overall size of a typical Persian woman. Her body is well sculpted and toned.

Bio: Like her brother Shahab, she was raised in by the same Iranian immigrant family within the United States. She was studying medicine and graduated from medical school before the Emergence Entity was founded. Lily briefly worked at the Miracle Centers the Xenos set up until she left and fled the city. Disgusted by what happened, especially as their youngest and little brother was kidnapped, she joined Griffin along with her older brother Shahab.

Personality: Persian princess on outside, humble on the inside. Lily prefers to get the job done rather than rely on others, with that mentality being shaped by her position as the middle sibling. She also has a habit of not trusting others outside of her family, as her brother was kidnapped by the Xenos. Alongside her brother, Lily brings everything she has to Griffin’s table.

Bio:
Ever since the effort against Emergence Entity began in full a few years back, there has been rumours about a certain "saviour" on the battlefield. Like a ghost, he or she would appear when things goes sour for the Resistance, to heal and lead the injured to safety. Nobody knew who this person was, or where he or she comes from; just the fact that he or she will always be there to aid you in your time of crisis.

Perhaps it was all a ruse; a propaganda by Griffin to encourage people to join them. That it's OK to stand up and fight. They've got your back. But for all intend and purposes, this figure has transformed into a symbol of hope for those on the battlefield, and the appearance of the tattered garb and full mask was seen to bolster the troopers' morale significantly.

And this person? They call him (or her) 'Nightingale'.


Personality:
Nightingale is almost never seen interacting with others outside of missions. Like a ghost, he seemingly disappears after mission debriefing, only to reappear during the next mission. Even during mission, he kept communication with others minimal. This appears to be in very stark contrast with his almost excessive insistence on putting others' safety above his own.

Ever since the last failed mission in New Delhi though, it seemed that Nightingale has been a little bit more.. Chatty? No, that is not the right word, as he still barely say anything at all. What is he, a robot or something? And that voice distorter thing installed in his mask.. Man that thing makes him sound nothing like human..

Situation report of Mission Avalon.

Mission commenced on 12 February 2035, 2230.
Objective: Neutralization of key Xenos official in New Delhi, India

Mission Log:
2230: Successful landing confirmed.
2235: First encounter with Xenos patrol. Patrol group neutralized successfully.
2244: Another encounter with Xenos patrol. Detour to avoid detection advised.
2246: Strategic detour unsuccessful. Detection by Xenos forces confirmed. Entire compound is alerted of our presence.

Bio: Born to an ex-military family in Taiwan, Morgan was trained in hand-to-hand combat, marksmanship, and blade fighting at a young age. He would later grow up to be a mercenary, working for many different clients around the globe. When first contact was made with the extraterrestrial entities, he already had a hunch that they didn't come so in peace like they had claimed. His suspicions were proven true when the global government called the Emergence Entity was formed, and when their "police" forces started showing up in all four corners of the globe. Morgan would then join a resistance movement based right in Taiwan, whose ultimate goal was to drive the Emergence Entity out of Taiwan and Asia as a whole. About 2 years after joining the Taiwanese resistance movement, he would then discover the international rebel group known as Griffin and offer his services as a mercenary.

Personality: Calm and calculating, Morgan prefers to always dive into a mission with a plan in mind. He posseses an incredibly serious demeanor during battle, but may act more casual on some occasions such as when he's off duty. Although he generally works alone, he is more than capable of working with a team when needed. Although he is skilled at planning, he is not without weakness. He sometimes underestimates his opponents when planning, which usually result in less than favourable situations.

Class: Deadeye (Sniper)

Bio: The robotic unit known as RT-0785 came into being from the minds of Griffin engineers. Using whatever parts they could find, including parts from destroyed or captured Emergence Entity robotic units, they constructed the steel sharpshooter. They then placed the processor in the droid's cranial area, giving him his most defining trait, his personality. Due to the head engineer's eccentric nature, he made the droid's personality sadistic and borderline sociopathic in nature. This boosted his combat prowess in a way, but made regular conversations with him uncomfortable, due to all the death threats and insults that accompany it. Nevertheless, he is bound by his programming to be loyal to Griffin and will obey every command given to him by his superiors.

Personality: As mentioned previously, RT's programming caused him to appear borderline sociopathic to others. RT looks down upon biological entities, frequently calling them "meatbags" and considers machines to be superior. However, he has expressed respect towards a few humans. He's also quick to anger, and will not hesitate those who anger him if they're not persons of importance. Despite all his violent characteristics, he is unquestionably loyal to Griffin as a whole due to his programming.

Name: Mi Jung-Ho, AKA Soup

Country of origin: Korea, moved to Britain at a young age

Bio:
	Born to a well-off Korean family, Mi had quite the decent childhood. Having moved to the UK with her family when she was still very young, Mi had a bit of trouble adjusting to the completely different culture, but started learning quite fast
Then the Emergence Entity arrived. She was only eight, and for a while, nothing really changed for her. 
Her mother died when Mi was only 14. She had found out after the event via a news program on TV. Apparently she had been one of many victims of a militia bomb attack, and for that reason, Mi learned to hate the militia, and with her dad, they joined a vocal protest of the human insurgents. In their eyes, the reason the world was devolving was because of the insurrectionists refusing to allow the Emergence Entity to complete their unification of the world. Thus began almost 6 years of protest against the militia from both her and her father. That made them a lot of enemies, but it also meant that they were left alone by any Emergence officials, unlike some other unfortunates. 
However, like all good fantasies, Mi’s one came to an abrupt end when she least expected it. Her father was killed in front of her eyes after a small group of Emergence Entity armed forces opened fire into a group of protesters who appeared to be rallying against the occupation of Earth. While this itself was out of the blue, a stray shot had caught her father, and killed him instantly. She was pulled away from the slaughter by an older man in his 70’s, who she later found out was a former member of the Militia, as well as a retired policeman from before the Emergence arrived on Earth. 
What terrified her the most, however, was how the Emergence spun the story of the events that truly killed her father. Apparently Militia insurgents had opened fire on crowd of people in a display of terrorism. That horrified and disgusted Mi, who came to the realisation that she had been blaming the wrong people this entire time for her mothers death. 

She spent the next couple years both living with and training with the retired policeman and his wife, before he finally told her about Griffin, a way for her to both get revenge and help liberate Earth. She left the next day, and began making her way towards a safezone, hoping to be accepted into the group. 

Personality:
	Chatty, hospitable, and generally optimistic about the effort against the Emergence, Mi’s personality is almost the complete opposite of what one would expect from a girl who has lost everything. This is due to her forcing herself to stay positive, to help prevent people to feel the way she did all those years ago. She’s quite different in combat, however. When fighting against xenos, she is cold, zealous, and sometimes even cruel when dispatching them. Some might ironically even call her ‘gung-ho’ about making sure they suffer. She will kill them without mercy, and she’ll enjoy every second of it. When fighting against human sympathisers however, she is far more reserved and restrained, choosing to either debilitate or avoid completely rather than outright kill them. She was one of them all those years ago, after all.

Appearance:
Under her armor Tanya has short blond hair with a side shave and pale blue eyes.


Bio:
The daughter of Russian immigrants, Tanya was always one for pushing herself physically, taking weight training and wrestling in high school. After graduating the young woman joined the marines and achieved the rank of Sergeant before the Emergence Entity was established. Suspecting foul play, Tanya and several others from her unit went AWOL in the Canadian outback and established a local resistance before eventually getting picked up by the Griffin organization.

Personality:
A laid back and jovial woman, Tanya's attitude translates into a calm, cool and collected heavy weapons specialist on the battlefield. Her years as an NCO and later a resistance fighter have made her quite good at quickly sizing people up, something she hides behind her friendly demeanor.

Name: Angel Rossi

Country of Origin: Italy

Bio: Angeline came from a pretty normal family. Like any college student of course. The only difference being that unlike most 21 year olds, she was the legal guardian of her autistic nephew. Her sister and brother in law were in a auto accident that unfortunately left her nephew parentless. When she was named his Godmother, her sister also made it that if something were to happen to them, Angeline was to take care of their child. So on top of having to take care of him, she also went to school. Which she never minded having to take care of him. He was such a sweet child and she loved him to death. They were always together when she was home from school. They always did everything together and he was alway interested in everything that Angeline did. He was such a smart boy as well. Nothing could ever tear them apart. Or so they thought. 

Angeline’s father lost his job and it made things hard on the family. So with that she got herself a part time job. But that alone wasn’t enough to make things work. So her father found a job rather quickly at a place called The Emergance Entity. It wasn’t something like that her father went seeking for this job, more like this place came looking for him. Which kind of made her feel a little uneasy in the first place. What kind of place seeks you without even knowing anything about you or your work background. Well once her father started working there, they came out to see if any of her other family members wanted to work out there. After awhile, Angeline began digging around and doing some homework about her dad’s new work place. 

After some time, her hard work finally began to pay off. And she found out some very odd things about this new place. They were not good people at all. Not at all what they seemed like when they were out in the public. Things took a turn for the worse when they came to ask her to work for them and they began to take a special interest in her nephew. When Angeline refused to work for them, they tried a more frontal approach. They tried to use her nephew as some kind of leverage. Saying that if she were to work for them, than they would help her with anything she needed in taking care of her nephew. She turned them down once again and that only seemed to make them press more. Throwing her off guard, she left her alone for about a week. Just enough for her to think that they were finally done bothering her about it. One day while being at school, the E.E broke into her house and took her nephew while her mother was in the kitchen making them some lunch. Her mother tried to fight back but it was no use. They out numbered her 10 to 1. Despite all her efforts, Angeline could not get her nephew back. This was 10 years ago. Her nephew would be 20 now and Angeline would be 31. Not a day goes by that she doesn’t think about the day that he was taken from her and her rage against the E.E only grows stronger by the day.

Personality: Well the old Angeline used to be pretty down to earth and somewhat of a homebody, not a short fuse or anything. The old Angeline and this Angeline are two totally different people. The Angeline now, is hard as a rock. Most of the time she quite expressionless and cold. She always has some sort of smartassed comment or something sarcastic to say. She’s more likely to put a gun to your head instead of shaking your hand. Getting on her bad side would not bode well for you. Her fuse is just a hair trigger away from blowing your head off. Cross her and you might as well go buy your headstone now.

Name: Cássia Senek

Appearance:

Bio: Born and raised in São Paulo to a small family living in poverty, Cássia's dreams and aspirations as a little girl mirrored that of her friends': to get the hell out of there. At the young age of 9, her father managed to move to the United States thanks to a somewhat distant relative who was able to pull some strings. From that moment on, Cássia and her parents were able to enjoy a higher quality of life, and the young girl pursued her dreams to become a cop.

Eventually, her acceptance into the police academy occurred more or less around the same time as the rise of the Emergence Entity. She was slightly apprehensive about the whole thing, but up to that point, she had prepared herself for such career path and she didn't have it in her to start over from scratch.

One evening, Cássia was out on patrol when she witnessed an incident she shouldn't have. It involved a few of her coworkers abusing a protestor over a verbal disagreement. She didn't break up the commotion, but instead, she remained behind the wall and listened to their interaction. From then on, Cássia was torn beyond words. She obviously knew of Griffin, and it didn't take long for her to make up her mind and join their ranks while still being employed as an officer, a move which could prove extremely very dangerous if either side were to find out.

Personality: A bit quiet, although loud and verbal when she needs to be thanks to her job. Cássia is not one for drama, preferring instead to get straight to the point without sugarcoating anything. She has a soft side that some people think doesn't work in certain situations, but Cássia hasn't forgotten where she came from. The young woman is very much so in touch with her roots and will gladly correct someone when her actions are questioned. With that said, she does enjoy good company and drinks as much as the next person, and whenever she loosens up, she becomes the life of the party.
