Jen help heal the ill Vulpix that ate the meat, she notices few ill Ninestails and heals them too. Several Absol jumps down from icy rocks to protect the Ninetailes as they speak with any of the trainers Pokémon.

Shiranui was wary of the Absol as he knew they appeared to warn people and Pokémon of an imminent disaster. "Great idea, Liam," he commented after he saw his friend bag a piece of poisoned meat he found.

"Jessie and James are tailing you!" came a familiar voice with a Unova accent that raised red flags in his mind.
"Meowth? Why are you warning us when you're in cahoots with those baka?" Shiranui asked.
"Because I'm your Zoroark, that's why," came the answer.
"俺が何処捕獲したか?" Shiranui continued, asking a question only his Pokémon would answer correctly.
"ポケモンの村で、カロス地方。" answered 'Meowth'.
"You're my Zoroark alright," Shiranui said with a smile as Zoro relayed what he heard and dropped his Meowth guise before leaving to speak with the Absol.

Translations: "Where did I capture you?"
"In the Pokémon Village, Kalos."

"Well, It seems as though we won't find the people responsible for this atrocity," Liam commented. "But, at least it seems like these Pokémon will be alright."

"What makes you so sure we won't?" Shiranui asked, "We have a piece of poisoned meat as forensic evidence and Okami or any of our Pokémon who knows Odor Sleuth could identify the poison and sniff out a trail. Failing that, any crime lab in our vicinity can analyse it and we'll let the police handle the case."

"I actually meant here in the area," Liam apologized. He was still worked up in anger for what had happened here. He noticed that the Alolan Sandshrew was tugging on his pant leg.
"What's wrong, still not feeling well?" He inquired. He tried to check the Sandshrew once again. "No, everything seems normal, but just to be safe." Liam turned around to get an Orren Berry and when he turned around, a net flung out and grabbed the Sandshrew. Liam turned around to see the net coming to Jessie as she had a bunch of Alolan Vulpix in a bigger net as she laughs. Wobbafett stood nearby wearing a shocked look on his face.
"I knew it! I knew we couldn't trust you three!" Liam roared.
"No! Meowth and I had nothing to do with this, I swear!" James pleaded. "Jessie, let these poor ill Pokémon go!"
"Yeah! James is right Jess!" Meowth added.
"Need I remind you that we are the bad guys?" Jessie added. She tossed a Luxury Ball out. "Mimikyu!" Jessie's Pokémon emerged. "Shadow Ball the Twerps!" She ordered. Mimikyu wouldn't move so Jessie had an idea. She distracted Mimikyu and tossed a Pikachu plush at Liam's feet.
"Look Mimikyu there's a Pikachu." She sneered. Mimikyu lunged forward to fling a Shadow Ball at it.
"Smaug! It's time to shine!" Liam sent out his Charizard. "Iron Tail!" Smaug slammed his tail into the Mimikyu before it landed its attack, activating Disguise and allowing Mimikyu to now take damage. Mikikyu got upset and tried to use Shadow Claw on Smaug, who reflexively dodged it. This meant the attack was about to hit a nearby Alolan Vulpix.
Wobbafett jumped in the way and used Counter, knocking the attack back into Mimikyu, who was knocked into Jessie, freeing the Pokémon she had in the nets.
"Smaug! Shadow Claw!" Smaug lunged forward and sent Jessie flying off into the distance with Mimikyu. The rest of her team ran off in the same direction. The Alolan Sandshrew returned to Liam's side. He tugged on Liam's pant leg again and pointed further into the cave, as if it wanted to show him something.

The hurt Absol speakers Zoro, thanks for helping the Pokémon. Another Absol is sad they could not cause anymore chaos. Jen agrees to What Shiranui as she slowly moves away from the Absol as Aura her Lucario talks to the Absols. Jen looks in the distance as she notices a black Aura, it could mean death or evil. Moana and Maui digs up a frozen person in the snow and howls as they start digging for anything else in the snow and ice. Jen and Aura help the Alolan Vulpix outof the nets as she wonders what Maui and Moana had found in the snow.

The Alolan Sandshrew points to a small hole on the ground and Liam saw something sparkle down there. Liam sat his bag down on the ground reached down there and pulled out a pair of Ice Stones. The Alolan Sandshrew tried to indicate that the stone would trigger its evolution. "Neat" Liam commented. Liam noticed. Liam then saw the Sandshrew poking around in his bag, and one of the empty Luxury Balls came out and the Sandshrew accidentally activated it and got caught. Since Liam already had a full team with him, the ball stayed in its small form and the button had a constant red glow.
"I guess I caught an Alolan Sandshrew," Liam said to himself, dropping the Ice Stones into his bag and collecting his stuff. "We should probably get on out of here now."

Shiranui shook his head at Jessie's stubbornness while Zoro noticed Moana and Maui dig up the frozen person and snapped into action by using Flamethrower to warm up said person.

Maui finds some more poison meat and several traps. Moana sniffs the guy who is shivering clutching two dead Vulpix to keep him warm. Maui and Moana wonders if this guy’s friends ditch him or bury under the snow.

Zoro shot a Flamethrower into the air, trying to get the attention of any of his human friends. Shiranui saw the rising flames and went over to take a look. "Well, well, well, look what Maui, Moana and Zoro dragged in," he quipped after seeing the damning evidence, "Great job, you three."

Liam came running back. "Are you the one who is responsible for this atrocity?"

Chuck stepped forward, his eyes dark, a Beast Ball in his hand. "Are you? Are you the sh*tstain who has done this? You will suffer like those Vulpix, Christa will make sure of it." An aura of darkness surrounded Chuck, to those able to see it.

Liam was unable to see the aura but had a bad feeling. "Chuck, are you alright?"

Chuck ignored him, dropping the ball. Once it hit the ground Celesteela's massive presence suddenly emerged behind Chuck.

"Chuck!" Liam called out. "Stand down! He is in no condition to have a battle."

"This won't be a battle. It'll be a slaughter." he said. "But first, he's going to suffer."

"Have you lost your mind?" Liam said. "He is a sumbag, but he needs to see justice."

Shiranui saw the drama between Liam and Chuck escalate. "Ashika, give Chuck a song!" He sent his Primarina out and the seal started using Sing to try and get Chuck to fall asleep before tensions boiled over.

"And he will, the only justice he deserves." Chuck said. "First, let's give him a taste of his own medicine with a little Toxic, Christa." Poisonous gas emanated from the Celesteela's exhaust-like arms, looming towards the man. He heard Shiranui give his command and said "Metal sound." Christa let out a metallic shriek to drown out the song.

"Smaug! Burn the Poison with Flamethrower!" The Charizard burned the poison away into nothingness.
"Chuck, don't make me go all out," Liam warned.
