Adam follows Artimes as she falls, catching her with Ivy. He lets go only once Ivy has her arranged comfortably, then stands. "Okay. This is ridiculous," he mutters, eyes shifting to teal in an instant. He pulls his staff out and points it at the quarreling two. "Ha-tep," he says, the hieroglyph glowing at the tip of his staff. A sense of calm falls over them.

Leila closes and locks the shop, then turns to Jeremy. He was her only employee: a son of Chloris, a nymph, and a human father. He had a natural gift with plants, but was very sociable.
"Be here at least an hour before opening, and make sure to triple-check the shameplants before you leave."
"I've got it, Leila."
She hands him the keys. "And keep an eye out for my Iris. If you need to call me, there are drachmas on the bottom shelf."
"I know, Leila."
"Don't forget the big order for that wedding."
"I've got it, Leila. Go!" He pushes at her shoulder gently.
She grins. "I know you do. Have fun. Feel free to crash upstairs if you want," she says, finally taking her leave. She whistles loudly, and moments later, a pegasus flies down and alights on the sidewalk in front of her. She mounts and gives him a final wave before leaning down and whispering, "Get me to Ivy."
