"I don't think so, King!" the Masked Shadow said. The Mega Aerodactyl flew in to try and stop them from getting passed him, but Chuck was quick on his feet. "Zenni, let's go!" he said activating his Mega Keystone, causing Zenni to Mega Evolve and rush forward to stop the Mega Aerodactyl in it's tracks.

"Good luck, Chuck," Liam said.

Jen calls Michiru the Buizel and Kawane the Rauchu back into their balls. She runs with Maui and Aura hoping Chuck hooligans luck.

Shiranui dropped a smoke bomb and attempted to make his escape while the getting was good.

"Now it's just you and me Tru." Chuck said, standing before the Masked Shadow. The man chuckled and said "I should have known you'd figure it out. What gave it away?" "The names of your Pokémon. I used to help take care of them back home, remember? I know them as well as you do. What did you do to them?" "I have bestowed upon them the power of the shadows, increasing their power to greater heights than ever before!" the man said, removing his mask to reveal a slightly older looking Chuck, except his sclera were black, his skin pale with black veins bulging around his face. "What happened to you brother? Why did you end up like this?" Chuck asked, tears forming in his eyes. "I looked up to you and you vanished. Now you reappear looking like this, suppressing the souls of your beloved Pokémon just to increase their strength?"

Tru North frowned and replaced his mask saying "The time for talking is over Chuckie. Now is the time for battle! King!" The Mega Aerodactyl roared and flew in for a Thunder Fang. "Zenni, Ice Beam!" Chuck called. Before the Mega Aerodactyl could get close, the Mega Blastoise fired off a freezing beam that hit it's wing, causing it to freeze and crash to the ground. "Now, while it's down, it's time for a point-blank full power Water Pulse!" Zenni stomped over to King and aimed all three cannons at it, charging up a massive water blast, which it unleashed with full force, knocking the Pokémon out. It retreated to it's Dusk ball and Tru simply said "Jaws." Before they knew what was going on, the massive Tyrantrum came barreling at Zenni from the size, clutching it's neck in it's massive jaws and unleashing a powerful Thunder Fang. The T-Rex Pokémon then proceeded to shake Zenni around while he struggled to break free before then tossing him through a nearby rock wall, knocking him down for the count. Chuck recalled him and sent out Ariel.

Shiranui dropped a smoke bomb and attempted to make his escape while the getting was good.

Liam used Shiranui's smoke bomb to hide his escape as well, though it wasn't as smooth of an attempt as Shiranui had done. He didn't like leaving Chuck to deal with that by himself but realized that it was likely for the best with all things considered. Upon reaching the Dragon Trial site, Liam checked to see that the coast was clear, which it was.

"As soon as Jen gets here, we can begin our assault," stated Shiranui after seeing Liam confirm the coast was clear.

Jen, Aura, and Maui looks over a rock to see the close is clear than they catch up to Liam and Shiranui.

"Everyone ready?" Liam inquired after quickly healing the Pokémon of everyone present.

"I am, but we may need to get on the horn to Mike and Sashia," answered Shiranui.

Maui follows Dusk’s scent to the red skull on a rock. Jen and Aura follows Mauito see if he found anything interning.

Dusk appeared from the Red Skull rock and nuzzled Maui happily before directing them to hiding place which saw the black skull door infront of them and they would find Mike and Sashia waiting for them. "Ah good, you made it" Mike whispered to them as Greninja appeared next to him, Sashia had Elisa next to her as she winked at the boys and Jen.

"Hold up, we're missing one, Where Chuck?" Mike asked the gathered group.

"He had some 'personal business' his words to attend to," Liam said before telling what he knew about the situation.

Meanwhile the battle between Chuck and his brother Tru was still going strong. Ariel had managed to take down both Jaws the Tyrantrum and Galapagos the Carracosta. However, Tru shook things up by sending out both Aegis and Gae Bolg, the Bastiodon and Rampardos respectively, and they took down Ariel before Chuck knew what happened. Chuck sent out Megumin and Azriel, the Turtonator and Alakazam respectively, in what ended up as a triple KO from everyone getting caught up in Megumin's Shell Trap. Unfortunately, Megumin was left weakened by the blast, so Marshadow made quick work of her, leaving both with just one usable Pokémon.

Chuck looked around at his surroundings and found he didn't have enough room, so he began running out of the Dragon trial cave and into the open area, Marshadow and Tru on his heels. "Let's finish this, Christa!" Chuck said, sending out the massive Celesteela. Marshadow leapt up after Christa, it's fist flaming in a Fire Punch, but Christa swatted it away with a Heavy Slam, knocking it through a couple trees and dealing massive damage due to their weight difference. Marshadow got up and shook itself off as Tru said "Time to level the playing field, Dynamax Marshadow!" He revealed an odd bracelet and recalled Marshadow, then the ball grew massive in size and Tru chucked it, revealing a massive Marshadow, on par with Celesteela in height. "What the hell!?" Chuck cried out, looking on at the massive Pokémon before him. "A new thing courtesy of the Galar region. I give you, Dynamaxing. Now Marshadow, go!" The Marshadow swung a massive fist a Christa, knocking her back a few feet. Chuck activated his Z-Ring and, going from Air Slash, Christa unleashed a massive Supersonic Skystrike, knocking the already weakened Marshadow down and reverting it back to normal size.

Marshadow was battered and bruised but still conscious as Tru smirked. "I see you're not half-bad as a trainer Chuckie. We'll call this your win for now, but you won't be so lucky next time. If you really want to know more about what happened, see me in the Galar Region. With that, he and Marshadow returned to the shadows. Chuck used a Max Revive on Azriel and had him teleport them back to the Pokémon Center so he could heal his team. Once done, Azriel locked in on the other's location and teleported Chuck to them. "Sorry I'm late guys, but I just had an intense battle with my brother." He then proceeded to tell them everything, including the Dynamaxing and Tru's 'invitation' to Galar.

"I don't know where to start with my questions on this," Liam stated.

"I don't know what happened to my brother, but I have to find a way to bring him back." Chuck said. "After we're done here, I'm going to head home for a little while before the Pokémon League, my parents need to know what's become of Tru. Then, after the League, I'm heading to Galar to get to the bottom of this. But first, the Poachers and Necrozma."

"Agreed, we need to deal with poachers first."

Jen is glad that Chuck is okay as she agrees to deal with the poachers first than ask questions what happen to Chuck later.

"I'm for the motion," Shiranui agreed, "At least we now somewhat know about Tru." He considered Galar as a probable next region after Alola to help Chuck out. "In the meantime, we need to go over how to clean out that Raticate nest," he continued, steering the conversation back to the topic at hand.

"Well, like before we can leave Saisei and Azriel to watch over us and keep us linked together." Chuck said. "I think we should split up and try to locate each of the remaining head poachers, as well as locate where they're keeping the Pokémon. I'm sure Liam will want to go after their leader, which is fine by me. Alexa is mine, there's something about her Lopunny that's throwing me off, and I want to get to the bottom of it. Jenn, I think it might be best if you and Aura look for the captured Pokémon, since you'll be able to use your powers to sense where they may be."
