Nouqur defends Vi's unconscious form from a small band of orcs, sweeping his scythe in large arcs, and glances at her, worried.

"You did well to impress old Giorgio, young lady." Said the fresh faced knight initiate standing before the great barracks in the center of town. The building was grand, with large banner bearing the same rose symbol emblazoned on the token Maisy carried. Wafting through the doors came the sound of knightly training, the clang of steel on steel and grunts of exertion or exhilarations.

"He used to be the greatest fighter on the continent." The NPC continued with his canned story. "At least, until the Dragon Knight took his arm and broke his pride. Oh, but that's not something you have to worry about now. Just know that if that man saw something in you, I believe it."

Hwy, maybe you can help me out with something..." He said, leaning in.

That was his she found herself facing down a gang of tall lizard men in the cliffs around the city, who hissed and chittered at her as she scaled the cliff side to their home.

Coming up over the side she pulled her lance off her back. "Can you guys even just give me back the sword Initiate Arthur lost up here? Or would we still have to fight even if I was level 100 or something?"

When all she got a hiss and a charge she leveled her Lance at it. "I thought not. Video games aren't nearly as complex as I thought."

Complex or not, though, claws still hurt. She leveled her lance as the charging lizard and surged forward to meet him.

Tanner smiles as he sails the seas looking for another ship

Jace comes out of his basement

Jono’s Captain was passing Tanner’s ship when this happened: “Hey, witch!” Jono had turned around. “Me?” “Yes you! What did you? Your presence curses us!” “What the hell-?” “First we’re out of food, now we’re in combat range of pirates, what did we do to you?” “Nothing, I had nothing to do with-!” Jono had felt ropes wrap around her, and then she was tied to a spare plank and dropped overboard.

Tanner sees a ship then sees someone get thrown overboard " oh dear" he says cheerfully and fires his cannons at the ship to cripple it

Jono struggles to breathe and drowns.

The ship tries to outrun Tanner but is caught by a few cannonballs.

Tanner points to the person drowning " get that person she's stolen a lot from us. " he says to some members of his crew as he swings off a rope to the other ship

Jace begins to walk around the forest

Jono starts to sink so far she can’t stay conscious. She starts when she feels pairs of rough hands pulling her up, but she falls unconscious.

Tanner had looted and destroyed the ship killing the NPC's he then looks at the unconscious girl" let's wait a bit to see if she wakes up if not then CPR might be needed " he says

Have continued to look at the forest

Jono doesn’t wake up, too exhausted from trying to prolong her consciousness.

Tanner sighs" kidding me " he mutters and rolls up his sleeves then begins to administer CPR

After a few rounds, Jono gasps and turns onto her side, coughing up water and a little blood. She wipes her mouth with the back of her hand. “Ugh, it even tastes real,” she mutters. She looks up at Tanner. “I guess I’m supposed to thank you. But this will do,” she holds up some treasure she’d snagged off of him and gets to her feet quickly.

Tanner grabs her wrist hard his hand like a steel trap " I will have my men shoot you on sight of you try to steal from me again. " he says quietly

Jono smirks faintly and tosses his treasure back to him. “Even thieves have a code, pirate. I owed you one.”

Tanner doesn't let go of her wrist " only reason I saved you was because I have a score to settle " he says

Jace yawns

Jono’s smirk doesn’t fade. “That’s funny. So do I.”

Tanner smiles " great " he lets go of her wrist and the pirates make a circle around them " I'll give you the choice weapons or unarmed? "

Jono strokes her chin. “Hmm.. weapons.”

Tanner nods and walks to one side of the circle then pulls out his cutlass holding it in his right hand as he pulls out one of his flintlocks and aims it at her with his left

Jono draws her knives and walks to the other side of the circle.
