Chaos; for as long as Garnet can remember, her existence has been governed by it.
Crafs was born a goblin, far from the luxuries of civilization, further yet from the services of Forgotten Realms' many organizations. For the longest time, all she knew was conflict and hunger. Families being torn apart by bursts of violence, siblings fighting over scraps, friends stabbing each other in the back come the first opportunity. Of course, Crafs was no different; she owed her continued existence to the conflicts, always managing to claw her way out a victor - or, at the very least, a survivor.
Then, one day, she came to know real chaos. To this day, she isn't sure what happened - but she knows exactly what happened after. She woke as a different person - a different creature, one that did not recognize the place she used to call home. Her tribesmen were alien to her as much as she was alien to them, and before she knew it, she had fled in terror.
Confused, alone and still unfamiliar with her new form, she found herself in the territory of a dwarven clan. While there, exhaustion claimed her. Had it not been for the kindness of an elderly dwarven couple, she would've likely succumbed to the elements. As things were, not only was she rescued, she was given a chance at a new life. The couple had no children of their own, and they were eager to adopt the wandering child as their own. They did ask questions - but upon noticing how scared she was to answer them, they pressed her no longer.
"Garnet", as she came to be known, was brought up as a dwarf. A... strangely green dwarf, with pointy ears and telepathic powers, who was prone to bursts of almost savage behaviour at times. But her parents stuck by her, and did their best to quell her worries. Garnet never told them that at times, she remembered her previous life - and all the bad things she did as a goblin, however. Instead, she sought redemption her own way - she came to revere Moradin, and whether on purpose or not, came to adapt some of the most fundamental dwarven traits: sense of justice, loyalty, and... well, stubbornness. She learnt the art of the forge from her father, and the art of the axe from her mother, and promised never to misuse either gift.
But though her life was good, Garnet felt as though she couldn't stay in the remote dwarven city forever. Her parents had raised her to be hardworking and ambitious, and so when she realized money was becoming tight, she offered to go earn her own fortune out in the world. She promised to send home both letters and gold alike, and that she would come visit whenever able - with tales of her adventures in tow.

UNARMORED DEFENCE Beginning at 1st level, while you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Wisdom modifier.

History
Brolugg was born into a tight knit family of Bugbears with a renewed father known for his savagery. Not thinking anything of it, Brolugg followed in his father’s footsteps and quickly became heavy hitter in his own regard under the tutelage of his father… until he heard the sweet, soothing sound of the bagpipes for the first time. The guttural drone of the instrument strapped to his unknowing victim spoke to the Bugbear’s soul and after the unaware man’s quick demise, Brolugg stole away the instrument and in turn discovered his passion for music. This passion made him the ire of the family as the noise to them was obnoxious and took the bugbear away from further training. When times got tough for the clan, Brolugg was exiled as he became seen as more of a liability than an asset. The bugbear, though bitter, looked at this as a new lease on life and through great difficulty integrated into more civilized life, attending the College of Swords to become a bard and going on to become a renowned adventurer.
Though his life was full of misadventures and great triumphs, this story isn’t about that.
After a lengthy campaign to help out a local town from a mysterious cult in its midst, Brolugg found the love of his life (another exiled bugbear who had been helping to defend the town before Brolugg and his party arrived) and the two had a son, Brolugg Jr. While his parents were deviations from the norm for a bugbear, Brolugg took to his nature more than his nurture being lazy and mean from a young age, using his status as a hero’s son to get what he wanted. He came to a turning point when his Brolugg Sr brought his son along on one of his escapades and the boy saw his father in action first hand. He was inspired from there to live up to the legacy his father had set for him. Brolugg was still a hand full to deal with but he threw himself into his training under his father’s fellow adventurer Lia Holimion the monk.
Now, figuring he had learned enough, Brolugg Jr set off to carve out his own legend and step out from his father’s shadow.
