sit down, have a drink.

So.

Probably not the best time for me to be getting back to this, but Imma try anyway. Brain has been in all sorts of bad places lately and the stress of real life is really getting to me. But eh, lockdown isn't a thing any more (in my state at least), so I guess I'm lucky. Just know that I'm a seasoned roleplayer of about fifteen or so years and ready to crack those knuckles and get typing, clean slate and all. But first things first; there's got to be a couple guidelines... Right, kids? Kay, so.
guidelines and stuff.

- I'm female IRL (for those of you who want to know), but I play male and female characters. I don't have a hard preference for either, so if you only play F/only play M for MxF, go for it. Won't get no argument from me. I tend to write strong, dominant "alpha" males and similarly strong-willed females with an edge, but I can play a variety of personality types suited to your taste.

- I want to work with mature themes, hence the "18+" in the title. Romance, violence, profanity, and other matters of an adult nature will likely feature heavily in my roleplays. Hence, please be eighteen and over to write with me. I'm almost thirty, so. :/ Because of this, I will only write via PMs.

- Post length doesn't matter as much to me as post quality. If I can't understand your writing, I can't write with you. Just the way it is, unfortunately. I enjoy detailed descriptions and injections of emotional turmoil. Make me weep. And if you haven't already guessed, dark and gritty themes are my jam. Make it heart-wrenching. Make it painful. Make it tragic. I'll send you a Spotify playlist.

- ...Not to say that I don't appreciate the beautiful moments that make the heart soar. Those are good too.

- I love romance. Get it? Love? Romance? Whether it's forbidden, love-hate, or anything else, romance makes my muse happy. That being said, our characters won't be doing the horizontal limbo every three posts; fleshing out the plot is important too.

- I usually have some sort of side character or side characters involved in the story. Call them "NPCs", if you will. You don't necessarily have to mirror me in doing so, but I thought I'd throw this in here just so you're aware.

- I mainly write MxF and MxM pairings, with preference for the former since it's what I'm most familiar with. I haven't really written much FxF, but if the plot is good I'd be willing to give it a shot.

- I am extremely understanding. Being an individual afflicted with a smattering of issues, I understand perfectly if you have to drop a story due to writer's block, real life circumstances, or even if you're just not feeling it any longer. Roleplaying should be fun, and not feel like work. Lord knows we all have enough of that in our lives. All I ask for in return is the same courtesy.

- I strongly, strongly prefer to describe my characters through words; but, if we absolutely must use faceclaims (again, not something I’m terribly into), I can’t do anime or cartoons. I’m sorry. I watch anime/cartoons and enjoy them, but please no anime/cartoon faceclaims.

- I live in the southern United States, and my timezone is EST.
plot babies.

a head full of ghosts

The war changed him, but in a worse way than one would ordinarily expect. A serviceman returns home after surviving a brutal explosion, only to realize he can now see the spirits of the newly deceased. But how will he convince the friend who's always stood by him that he's not insane, and these things he sees aren't just the byproduct of an unstable mind?

the burning sea

A twist on the classic mermaid tale - a merman finds himself landlocked with a new pair of legs. Found by the child of a local fisherman, he struggles to adjust to life in a quaint seaside town all the while knowing that those he's been running - or swimming - from would eventually catch up to him, and unleash chaos upon this quiet hamlet.

first light

Sent to rid the world of all that is vile and wicked, an avenging angel finds himself at a local gentleman's club where he finds himself taken with a "stripper with a heart of gold" (alternative: he rescues a prostitute from an abusive client). Quick to realize his growing humanity - and tempted by the hungers of the flesh - he struggles with fulfilling his duty and toeing the line between saint and sinner.

i found

Freshly escaped from a top secret government research facility, a traumatized individual with superhuman abilities takes refuge in someone's rickety shed, only to be discovered by the baffled homeowner in the midst of a violent storm. Offering shelter to the injured stranger, the two grow closer as shadowy government operatives close in.
that's all, folks.

If you're interested in writing with me, send me a PM. Thanks for reading!
