The worst part is that Jun seriously thought he was someone's dad or uncle.

In terms of anime, 19 is considered old age. So there's nothing wrong here.

Did we ever reach a consensus on what our ship looks like? Seemed like the Argama was getting the most votes. But looking at its design, I'm not sure how we can work in a Wave Motion Gun weapon. The main concept is that the entire length of the ship serves as the barrel for the gun. The Aegama's shape doesn't look like it would very compatible that concept. Unless I'm missing something?

@Double I started looking up some other ships that might be more suited and maybe easier to explain away being shaped and remodeled. I ended up stumbling on this one Sadalahn. Maybe that one would fit better. I'm sure there are others that resemble what you're looking for better but this is the first that seemed to be a cohesive similar to a gunbarrel.

Hmm, well, so far the Amalthea-class looks like it has a good shape for a Wave Motion Gun barrel, just not sure how anyone feels about using a Zanscare Empire ship. The Aoyagi-class looks like a decent fit as well, if something from Gundam X is more to your liking. I'm not a huge fan of the Cosmic Era, but the Nelson-class could work as well, potentially.

I think my favorite is the Amalthea-class. It doesn't have alot bogging it down and with its simple design we could easily explain someone fitting it with a Wave Motion Gun.

I can see the back spinning and the front opening up now. Well that does it for me, I'm throwing in my vote for the Zanscare Empire ship.

The reason I liked Nahel Argama was because it had everything we could need, from catapults to the mega particle cannon. On that note I'd vote for Amalthea-class because it has almost the same specs. Story wise we can say that Riku, Naoki and whoever else wants in on helping in its 'design' are the ones who 3-d printed parts to make the middle a Wave Motion Cannon.

One if my rough ideas was to equip the flagship with a GN Drive and/or GN Condensor so that it could use the Trans Am System as a way to power the WMG (in the actual series it required the engine's power to be overclocked to 120% in order to successfully charge and fire the weapon) but we could also just the 3D printer idea to sort of fudge something into existence.

Sounds like a good idea and it seems like the simplest method to overclock the Yamato. I'm just waking up, so that's all I can think to add. But I say we go for it. The Amalthea-class with its GN-Drive(s) should be able to produce a powerful Wave Motion Gun.

EDIT. Also I think its safe to move on @Crimson Lion.

I also wanted to apologize for essentially hijacking the choices for how our ship is designed. You know, in case that may have rubbed someone the wrong way.

I guess you could say I wanted the design of the ship to be the thing that really solidifies Riku's place on the team. Kai and Jun are already well known and even have cool nicknames to intimidate people with. So I hoped this would be Riku's way of firmly establishing himself in the world of Gunpla, particularly as a builder.

@Double Also Double, it was your idea for the most part and while I agree that everyone on board should have I say, I think we all had a chance to put forth any rejections to the idea. In my opinion, its all good.
