Swords, coats, and anime tropes.

>So I'm not going to bother with fancy graphics or titles on this one. The basic premise I want to try and do is to make a roleplay that satirizes traditional anime tropes in things like isekai and shonen. So imagine a group with a reformed, or perhaps not so reformed, edgelord, tsunderes, etc. Just all the tropes rolled into one generic fantasy world that totally isn't a carbon copy of every other, but definitely is.

>As for the plot, honestly we can just make it up as we go along. If anyone's interested in this idea for a group RP let me know.

I'm kind of interested in the subverted anime tropes concept but sadly don't know enough anime to do it effectively xP

>Fair, but to play Devil's advocate a bit, anime has base tropes that are common across certain genres. Using edgelords as an example, they're not exclusive to anime, and besides a lot of these tropes can be found on sites like TV Tropes if you need a quick refresher/explanation.

>Also, don't forget that this is supposed to be satire. Humorous satire at that, so the main goal is writing something funny or entertaining using anime OCs.

I am very versed in TV tropes and am good at writing around common narrative tropes already, so I'll definitely be excited if you want to try something together

I've been craving some light hearted blast from the past, not trying to be anything other then it is rp recently. Bonus points if it does end up Isekai.

So tentative interest from me! I'll probably play good-hearted but dim oaf or a over the top kingmaker type character, if another player is down to have a loyal but goofy companion.

I've got a worldmap ready either way, though the lore will literally whatever we decide to write for any given location.

Oh boy, this looks pretty fun!

I'm torn between a tsundere girl trying to learn basic communication skills and just starting therapy for her dark past/a tiny critter in a human-sized mech suit that would probably be the cute mascot for the RP if they didn't have the mech suit/a literally rainbow haired boy who used to be a typical, hotblooded shounen protagonist before his friend making skills went horribly wrong, and now they're more practical and down to earth, if still goofy.

>All interesting ideas. Also I'm not putting hard limits on powers or things you can have. Just don't use it to be a problem to other players and you should be fine.

Aight!

I'm kinda leaning towards the cute critter right now, though I do like the other two ideas as well! I'll just have to write them all down and see what grabs me the most, to be honest.
