The Gods predate man. Their reign powerful, eternal and revered. But since the dawn of the Gods, there have always been those sworn to end Olympus. The golden throne, the seat of the righteous, king of the Gods, Zeus. It is the core of their world. Many seek to destroy it, dethrone Zeus and end the reign of the Gods.

Camp Athens, a safe place for demigods, children of the Gods. A place for them to live, grow and train. That was the intent. The demigods were never supposed to be the warriors for the Gods. Their parents wanted them to grow up safe from the world that threatens to end them. But the ruler of the Underworld, Hades, sought after the golden throne for himself, the demigods had no choice but to fight.

The campers faced many trials that tested them on levels far greater than they ever imaged. It was but the first day of the summer, demigods flooding into the camp, when a minotaur stormed its way through. A distraction while a son of Zeus, Ajax, was stabbed by an Underworld blade and poisoned. When things seemed to die down, it was only the quiet before the storm. Ajax was later taken prisoner by Hades, only set free when his soul was taken from him in exchange for a daughter of Hecate.

And all the while, when some of the most powerful demigods were nowhere to be found, the rest of the campers had to band together to take down their toughest foe… A Hydra. Then there was death… at the hands of a God and at the hands of a daughter of Zeus. It seemed, when at their weakest, Hades attacked.

The war. Something the demigods had been preparing for, but never thought would come. Giants and minions flooded their way onto the grounds of camp. The Gods stood side by side with their children in a fight for Olympus. It tested them more than anything had before… And in the end, they succeeded. But not without great loss. Wounded, weak and broken, the demigods came together victorious.

It’s been a year since that war. New demigods have found their way to the camp. The heroes of the war found ways to cope with their losses and train harder. Although the war is over, no one can rest. Something lurks in the distance, like a storm on the horizon. They don’t know what it is or when it will come… But they must be ready.

Disclaimer: This RP is over a decade old, with 3 of the original writers still involved. It has been a labor of love that we are all very passionate about. We are loyal and will stick with this RP through thick and thin. I am aware that it has a lot of similarities to the Percy Jackson universe, but there are a lot of differences too. I am not the original creator of this RP, I inherited it when the original GM stepped down. When she created this she claimed to never have read the books. Since I've taken over I've done my best to make the world as coherent and rich as possible, but there still could be things that don't line up to your expectations. As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to @Mjolnir.

  • Please PM @Mjolnir for discussion and approval of your character before posting in the character section.
  • Characters will be marked as reserved until the character sheet has be uploaded.
  • We have a discord. I'll happily share the link with you once you've been accepted :)
  • Character guidelines:
    • Only two demigod children per god — This can be flexible depending on the volume of characters.
      • If you're interested in a God not listed, PM @Mjolnir to discuss adding them.
    • Variety is important — There should be a good mix of genders and moral alignments. (good and bad)
    • Multiple characters are welcome, but try to mix things up.
    • Your characters are new to camp having recently been requested to attend by their Godly parent. If you're wanting to play a returning camper, rather than new, please discuss this further with @Mjolnir in PMs. (This is not impossible, but will take more work and coordination with the other writers)
    • Character abilities should be taken from the list provided. (under each god)
    • Characters should be 18 or older.
    • No one is perfect, make sure your character has flaws.
    • I prefer the use of a RL faceclaim, preferably one with a decent amount of photos/image options that can be used for character section of the RP, edits, etc.
  • Posting speed tends to vary, life happens and people get busy.
    • Ideally we strive for one post a week per writer, per character even better but not necessary.
    • If you're going to be slower to post for whatever reason, communicate. I'm super flexible.
    • A month of no activity in RP and no communication can result in a warning with a week grace period to post. At the end of the week if no post or communication has been made the writer and characters are subject to removal.
  • Inactivity/ghosting can be the death of an RP. We all understand life happens and that people lose interest in RPs. Please communicate with us, we're very understanding. If you are inactivity for a long period of time without word, your character can end up written around or excluded.
  • This is an advanced RP. We value quality over quantity, but at minimum posts should have a couple paragraphs.
  • Violence, adult language, and adult situations will happen (fading to black for intimacy), if any of this is a problem or trigger for you, then this RP probably isn't for you.
  • Don't move or control someone else's character without their permission.
  • The Gods are controlled by the GM unless otherwise specified. Feel free to message @Mjolnir if you have an idea or wish to control one for a scene.

You are welcome to use any character sheet you'd like, including my own, as long as you include all the required information. Fair warning, my character sheet's coding is a bit complicated and easily broken, so if that intimidates you I don't recommend using it. (you can grab the code by clicking "raw" in the upper right hand corner of my character list post)

Note : You do not have to use the personality traits listed under each god. They are merely there to help get a feel for what the average demigod might be like, but feel free to mix things up and go against the norm. They're just there as help :)

When you've been accepted and you go to upload your CS, please put it in a hinder. (put your CS inside [hider=Character Name][/hider] tags. More instructions at the bottom of the screen under "Formatting Cheatsheet")

Old Campers

Below is a list of some previous campers. This is not all of the characters that have left (due to writers leaving or ghosting), but these are ones that are likely to come up in conversation or have had large impacts on other characters or the story. This is a resource for new joining writers to reference and get a better grasp of what has happened throughout the life of the RP over the past 10 years (this baby is old lol).


Camp Athens .|. the first year

Disclaimer : With our old site dying, I lost access to the more detailed history of what happened the first year of camp. I'm going to do my best to recall the major things that happened or any events that could pop up in conversation. Luckily, the more obscure things probably won't come up. But, as always, feel free to ask us anything if you need clarity.

▹ . Ajax was bitten by a venomous snake sent by Hades. Andy sucks the poison from his wound.
▹ . A minotaur attacked camp, Andy jumped on its back and Mason used his abilities to subdue the beast without killing it.
▹ . At a beach party, Alex kissed Wes in an attempt to make Duke and Trinity jealous.
▹ . Jennova gave Hades Ajax’s location, resulting in him being kidnapped and taken to the underworld.
▹ . Alex, wanting to free her brother, went to Andy for help who enlisted Mason’s help (reluctantly) to get them into the underworld. Once there, Andy traded herself for Ajax.
▹ . Ajax returned to camp without a soul, promptly sleeping with 2 random campers. ( 2 miscellaneous unnamed NPC girls)
▹ . Andy was kept in the underworld, for a day roughly, and was tortured by Hades.
▹ . Mason snuck back into the underworld to free Andy, earning his father’s anger in the process.
▹ . A hydra attacked camp and was taken down together.
▹ . Mason and Trinity were sent away from camp to try and get help from other demigods for the upcoming war.
▹ . Alex killed Jennova, while Mason was gone, after finding out she helped Hades kidnap Ajax.
▹ . The war came to camp. Hades sent minions and giants to camp to fight the demigods. While they won the war, Wes lost his right arm and Daniel was killed in the battle.

Camp Athens .|. the second year

▹ . The first part of the year was more chill with parties and some training exercises. But nothing really major of note.
▹ . Daniel arrived back at camp, somehow not dead. But went by Keith, with no memory of ever being Daniel.
▹ . Alex was put on trial in Olympus for killing Jennova. Multiple demigods spoke as character witnesses for and against Alex. In the end she was found innocent.
▹ . Tensions at camp rose. Multiple fights broke out, feuds grew, and relationships reached their breaking point.
▹ . Daniel’s memory returns.
▹ . A beach party and a game of 7 minutes in heaven raised tempers to their breaking point. Alex attacked Andy, starting a fight. When the fight was over Alex struck Andy with lightning as her
▹ . back was turned and nearly killed her.
▹ . The following day Ajax and Alex go to Olympus with their father, Zeus.
▹ . After another fight, Poseidon and a handful of other gods came down to camp. Angry with Zeus’s favoritism towards his own children and the campers’ poor behavior, Poseidon made all the
▹ . campers undergo “trials” as a form of punishment. In these trials, each camper had to enter a simulation of sorts, created by Hecate, and face their worse fears in front of the entire camp.
▹ . Following the trails, Poseidon sent his son, Nick, to camp to get them back on track by leading and training them.
▹ . Nick led the campers in a training exercise sparring against one another.
▹ . Sloane was sent a package from her mother, Eris, that she left for Sylas. When it was accidentally opened it unleashed countless monsters, beasts, and horrors upon camp. A majority of
▹ . the campers were gravely injured, several were killed, and a couple left camp unable to handle the growing danger at camp.

Hi guys,

Just thought I'd stop in OOC here to announce I'm one of the "original writers" for coordination/relation purposes if there's anyone wanting to play a returning demigod. Trinity is particularly seasoned. This universe is a love of mine so I look forward to this merge and getting back in action with you all.

The coding and whatnot may take a bit for me to figure out to reach easy on the eyes but I'll get there.

I was still debating at the time of doing either a Hades son, a Hecate son or a Hephaestus son. Leading towards a Hecate son since I had made a son of Hecate for some Camp Halfblood/Percy Jackson rps, but debated about making a new character for this or not.

Still, I will think about it since I am not sure yet about making a second character right now.

Ah, darn, looks like I was a bit too late; was also gunning for the son of Ares! I suppose being a son of Nike wouldn't fly? She would actually fit the character idea I had a little better, even.

Edit: actually, so might Zeus! So might go for that instead, if allowed.

@Vertigo Sorry about that. The RP did post with a fair bit of roles taken due to the RP being migrated from another site. Zeus is definitely open. Or, if you're heart is set on Ares, once more roles fill up I'm open to potentially adding more roles for a God.

And just for generally knowledge, I know the daughter of Hades says reserved, I just need to add the info for her and Qia hasn't uploaded the CS yet. But she is taken. Just for anyone who may be looking into that.

For anyone else looking into Camp Athens, I'm open to adding more Gods or additional roles to a God I just kinda want to know your thoughts/ideas and I'm trying to wait at least until a fair bit of the roles are snagged before I add more. If it sounds interesting or unique I'd be open to it. Just didn't want to have a million roles open initially.

Also any writers who join you're welcome to add more characters now or down the line. I generally have no limit for writers already in the RP. *Points to my 5 probably going to be 6 characters* lol

If it helps anyone else, I did ask if it were possible to have a god/goddess not listed as one and got the go ahead. I wanted Aphrodite but that one was nabbed up real quick (not a problem!). So I am working on possibilities myself.
