@Blizz I don't mean to be knit picky but how is Marlene going to sleep in a tree and survive? It doesn't seem like they have the gear to sleep out in 15°F weather while it's snowing. It's not very plausible for Marlene to actually sleep in a tree unless they have a hammock or platform of some kind on them. And even if they did, it's below freezing, so how are they going to avoid getting sick, frostbite (losing toes and limbs), and other health complications?

How? It doesn't make sense for them to purposefully put themselves into situations like this without having a scratch on them. Marlene is human. Humans, no matter how familiar they are with drastic temperatures, cannot safely sleep outside with no gear, protection, or anything from the elements and be perfectly fine. It doesn't make sense biologically.

And yes, we have demigods, but Marlene and a lot of others do not have cold resistant or similar abilities that would benefit them.

I'm just saying, realistically, they could end up getting sick, frostbite, and hospitalized because one cannot go 6-8 hours without gear and sleeping (body temperatures lower in sleep because one isn't moving) during snow storms at 15°F and it'll only get colder at night.

It doesn't matter how "feral" your character is, in my opinion, since they honestly should be dead by morning in those conditions.

I'm adding this because I think it's necessary.

Humans cannot sleep in trees without support by hammock or platform.

Also, Marlene having no abilities to counteract cold means no one else should be effected by the cold which is unnecessary.

Yea with those temperatures hyperthermia will set in in about 10 to 30 minutes without some kind of thermal sleeping bag or something. Something reliable to keep them warm. I suppose if they have something like that it could be fine? I just think it might be easier to stay in the cabin though/ I can see the gods taking it in a bad way? Like a sign of disrespect? Might be a stretch but that's one way to get them inside with them still having that feral nature?

I agree. I understand wanting to have a weird or quirky character but sleeping in a tree in the middle of winter will only end in death. Marlen could intentionally choose the most run down looking cabin or something.

A child of Apollo has no magical means to survive in that. And like Qia said, the Gods would definitely find it as a sign of disrespect dying in the cold of the night rather than sleeping in an available cabin.

Maybe in substitute they can go to shelter / their cabin and just refuse the bed and sleep on the floor. Not quite the same effect as sleeping in a tree but it’s something.
