Name: Adeline “Adi” TreVayne
Gender: Female
Age: 27
Occupation: Aerial Dome Security & Private Protection
Personality Traits: Honest | Disciplined | Loyal | Pragmatic | Resilient
Personality Description: Adi carries herself with quiet professionalism that commands respect without seeking attention. She’s loyal to her friends and coworkers, and values trust and camaraderie deeply, though her blunt honesty and guarded nature sometimes put distance between her and others. Beneath her composed exterior lies a sharp edge of resentment toward the elite and a longing to define herself outside of her family’s shadow.
Background:
Adeline TreVayne was born into privilege as the only child of two highly successful parents. Her mother worked in finance and her father was an engineer. Much like their work life, their home life was structured and pristine, as they wouldn’t have it any other way. While their daughter’s needs were always met, affection was rare. Her parents approached raising her like an equation more than a child who needed nurturing. She learned early that warmth would not be found in their words or gestures, only expectations, as childhood became a cycle of lessons, evaluations, and silent meals. Over time, she grew resentful, but she also internalized discipline and routine as a way of survival and simply learned to build walls.
As time passed, she excelled in academics and physical conditioning, not because she loved them, but because excellence was the only way to avoid criticism. When she came of age, Adeline enlisted in the aerial dome’s Security Division, as it was the only way to create distance between herself and her parents.
To them, it was an odd choice, but to her, it was freedom.
The training was rigorous, but she thrived under it. For the first time in her life, her efforts were recognized not as an extension of her parents’ prestige, but as her own. She built her identity through endurance drills, weapon handling, and guard rotations. However, her least favorite assignment had been escort and protection duty for high-ranking officials during events or travel. Standing at the side of the very elite class of people she had come to despise. However, she learned to keep her opinions sealed behind a professional mask, because it was always the job that came first and she was seen as an honest and tireless worker. Off duty, she would join her peers for drinks, and her dry humor and sarcasm really only surfaced in trusted company.
With all these things considered though, her flaws followed no matter what. She had little patience for arrogance, struggled with blind obedience, and occasionally clashed with superiors when she believed lives were at risk. There were moments she felt at odds with everyone, but continued to endure and persist over the years.
Her life took a sharp turn when Project Genesis began its search and Adi became an obvious candidate. While her family’s genetics and influence mostly likely was a benefit to her through the eyes of the Council, her body had been honed over years of service, and her adaptability in high-stress conditions made her invaluable. The Council likely viewed her as a stabilizing element among the chosen, someone who could keep order in the dangerous unknown. For Adi, being selected was not another assignment, but rather an
escape. She saw the temporal doorway not as a duty imposed on her, but as a chance to step away from the suffocating structures of the aerial domes and its people.
She only hoped she was making the right choice…
