how would you describe their personality? From the outside looking in Sera looks like the happy-go-lucky cheerleader with the perfect life. She puts up a lot to keep up with this appearance because she doesn't like too many people knowing how she's feeling or what she's going through. She's fighting grief on a daily basis after the loss of her older brother and sometimes channels it in dangerous ways. She just wants to feel something besides her grief. She tends to focus on others and their lives so she isn't left alone to focus on her own thoughts. This is also why she tacks on a lot of responsibility.
She genuinely does care for others and their well-being. If she can't help herself she can at least help others. From her youth she's always been a natural-born leader taking after her father and Andre. She has a very protective nature for those who are smaller or a bit different and finds herself being more comfortable and open around them than her "popular" friends. She doesn't care about social status or cliques and just cares about who you are as a person.
what has their life in Angel Grove been like?Sera's been living in Angel Grove for almost her entire life, ever since her dad retired from the military. She grew up the only girl with two brothers, her twin Sam and their older brother, Andre. She was always the spoiled daddy's girl and for a time wanted to join the military just like him. She spent most of her childhood at the local beach and park either swimming or participating in community events. She took an interest in gymnastics at a young age. It started off with her mom insisting that she'd try it, but she quickly fell in love with it. She felt free on the mat and like she could do anything. She struggled at first and almost quit but her dad taught her how not to quit just because things were hard or didn't work out at first. She applied this to every aspect of her life as she continued to grow. If she struggled with a subject she'd study harder. If she fell she'd get right back up again until she got it right.
School was fun for her. She found it easy to make friends, but often found herself getting in trouble for beating up bullies. Her parents never punished her for it, but tried to teach her that there were better ways to stand up for others without fighting. She tried to follow their methods, but sometimes a nose needed to be punched or a shin needed to be kicked. This got her to start taking Karate Lessons with Sensei Marco at the Community Center so she could learn discipline.
When she entered her freshman year in high school she was met with the devastating news that Andre was killed in action overseas. He was an Army Ranger just like their father. The news shattered Sera's world. She always looked up to her brother as someone who was invincible. She never imagined he would die like that or at all. She was in denial for a long time and threw herself into school, friends, and extracurricular activities to keep her mind off it and from feeling the loss. This led her to become captain of varsity cheerleaders at the end of her sophomore year and a 4.0 student.
When she turned seventeen she convinced her parents to let her get her motorcycle license so she could legally drive Andre's bike. They reluctantly agreed, still worried about how poorly she's been processing his death. They initially gave her space, but have forced her to see a therapist so she can work out her feelings.
what can they do? what are they good at?Despite refusing to process her own feelings, Sera's very good at reading people. She can cook and is very acrobatic. She's a pretty good fighter, having learned military combat from her dad and karate from Sensei Marco. She's a sharpshooter as well and has known how to dismantle and reassemble guns since she was in elementary school. She can be a bit reckless with it, but she's also an excellent motorcyclist.
how would they react to danger?
