Ok so History my dudes! I know due to his nature Alexander is going to be more of the loner type. Mostly for the safety of others.

I feel like its a solid bet that the professional's agency will know of him if not a ton of information because of how long Alexander has been alive. Maybe hes helped them out in the pass randomly but always vanishes/hard to find.

I'm willing to hear ideas!

The question, then, is if they at all took note of one another. Given that Alexander has that need for human flesh and blood, there’s a possibility that Iustina picked up his trail at some point. My sheet has a subsection for “They stood between you and what you needed to find out. Ask them why.” I think being a red herring could serve such a purpose.

Okay, so here's how I handled the history spiel. I wrote down all the different potential histories my character could have, using the rules. I've assigned each person where I think they would fit.

However, I am very, very, very big on not god-moding other people's characters, and I never want to sound like I'm bossing someone around when it comes to roleplay. If you think your character would fit somewhere else, or you would like something changed, please by all means feel free to offer suggestions. There are a few parts where I leave it open for you to fill in the details.

* Your relationship with them has romantic potential. So far it hasn't gone further.

* They're on the Agency's watch list, and you've been keeping an eye on them.

Specifics: He's been on a watch list for a long time, but as Tally said, not a lot is on file about him. CASS is eager to learn more about him if need be. Keep in mind CASS doesn't want him dead necessarily - they're just curious to learn more about him and whether or not he's truly a threat.

Specifics: Tiffany and Julie are actually related through Tiffany's father: Julie is the daughter of one of his cousins.

Specifics: Perhaps they met when Julie was investigating a potential vampire legend. They teamed up with Julie initially using a cover story, only for her to reveal her true identity after learning to trust Iustina. After they caught the vampire, Julie left Iustina to handle the rest.

* You were friends back in training, before the Agency recruited you. This could be military, law enforcement, or some weirder school: decide the details between you.

* They pulled you (and maybe your team) out of a terrible FUBARed mission.

Specifics: There was a time when it was believed she was getting too close to a creepypasta mission, and Julie was sent to see just how close she was. Thankfully, she actually wasn't involved.

Mayhaps they're related through her father's side. Her father's sister or cousin married and had a child, which is Julie.

I've been mulling it over, and I'm wondering if you all would like to collab and build the history of Lamplight with me. We would do it using a simple worldbuilding game called The Quiet Year.

If not, totally fine; I have the story set up where it needs to be. But, if so, maybe the story shifts depending on what you contribute. Perhaps the biggest of bads becomes someone different, and all the arcs leading up to the finale follow suit. Your choice; no pressure.

Ditto. It's Thanksgiving week and I work in wholesale; additionally, another RP has been waiting for a post for longer than this one. Hopefully when I'm ready to start tackling my first IC I can also come at you (plural) with some actionable suggestions for character histories (though I'm also fine with not knowing everyone from the get-go, too).

Not gunna lie to you guys. Im running on like 5 hours of sleep over the past 2 days. So while I might post today still. I'm not making any promises.

I'm gonna be lax on the posting rules for now, simply because it's the holidays and some of us are either going to be very busy, very tired, or both, so don't worry about needing to follow the once-a-week posting rule if you've got more important obligations. Once we're through the rough patch, I'll be more stringent.
