Garrock looked taken aback at Fellwing's accusation, and it took him a moment to recollect himself. "Hey, he attacked me!" he said. "I came here because Skobeloff told me that there were monsters in these minds, so when a creature I can barely see starts hurtling at me, I don't tend to ask many questions!"

Runa was hesitant to approach her brother again after his attempted attack, but she was hovering near him. He didn't respond to what Fellwing had said, nor seem to be taking in what she was saying, instead just clutching his injured arm next to him as he heavily.

"Fellwing," Runa said, softly. "I think something is wrong with Yetu."

As Skobeloff walks into the mine, he starts to realise that this place was likely abandoned due to stability, and that whatever spell used to be here was likely cast by elders of the past to keep younger dragons - like themselves - from wandering in. However, the magic either faded out or was removed by some magic, so it's likely someone has gone in ahead. Maybe Garrock, maybe Rudrick, maybe both. It's hard to tell. All that Skobeloff knows for certain is that he has no idea what lurks ahead of him.

For the first time, Tamba feels some hesitation. "Are you sure this is a good idea, Skobeloff?" she asks, hesitating just inside the mouth of mines.

Skobeloff

"This might not seem like a good idea to someone who isn't as good at the Long Game as a Trickster is." Skobeloff replied. "But just because a plan goes a teeny bit wrong doesn't mean it's broken. Not when it wasn't the only plan... Kun yol bo!" Channeling the power of the Storm Moon into a mystical incantation that roughly translated as 'light fire to fly', Skobeloff conjured a floating flame into being. While not a impressively bright as the drake would have liked it, the flame remained within his control and made things easier to see. "See, before the Snouthold people sealed this mine up because they got all worried and boring about it falling down, they dragged out loads of neat and useful stuff." Skobeloff said as he walked over to something that caught his eye, picked it up and examined it in the fire light. "And now I'm the first one to sneak back in, which means any goodies they forgot are mine mine mine!"

After a moment, Skobeloff turned away from his find and bade his flame float down to the floor of the mine. "And the plan that went wrong? I've got a few other ones tucked away in my head, just in case. Always do... Oh! Look! See those?" The little Trickster pointed towards a set of tracks made by dragons much larger than Skobeloff, Stargaze, and Tamba. "The tacks are still fresh. If we follow them, we'll catch up in no time."

Fellwing whirled on Garrock once more, exasperated and not in a place where she could hold her tongue. "Did he not talk about spiders? Is this troll a spider to you? Good Moons! To begin with, there never were any spiders, it was just Skobel—"

Runa cut her off, her worried words dousing some of Fellwing's anger. "Yes, he attacked you, that is—" but the bite had gone from her words. "That is... no, I'm sorry. I understand, l-let me see what I can do." She approached, reaching out towards Yetu apprehensively, still not entirely sure whether she could trust him — or herself.

Magic that could make one lash out... yes, indeed, she was familiar with at least one source of it.

Fellwing's words caused Garrock to give a frustrated growl, though this sound died in his throat when the Seer revealed there hadn't been any giant spiders in the mines in the first place. However, focus shifted to Runa and Yetu before he could say anything.

Yetu doesn't attempt to attack Fellwing as she approaches him. If anything, he seems to be trying to move away from her, but the tunnels and his frenzied state of mind don't allow him to get very far. Fellwing is able to reach out to him and make contact, and for a moment, in her mind's eye, she sees something... but it quickly disappears as Yetu stumbles back out of her reach, clutching his claw even closer to himself as if a fresh wave of pain has gone through it.

In the very brief instant that they connected, Fellwing sensed a great amount of fear coming from Yetu, and that fear very much still has its claws in him.

Skobeloff succeeds in lighting his way with the magic of the Storm Moon, the small flame allowing his surroundings to become clear. One such thing, he notes, is what appears to be a small, faint glowing ribbon of sorts lying on the ground. When he picks it up, it seems to glow a little brighter and he suddenly is struck with an odd feeling... he realises this is one of the remaining threads of the spell used to keep dragons out, and in this moment, he is connected to all other remaining threads of this spell, and while it can no longer be used to keep dragons out, it can be used to sense dragons in the area.

Like Rudrick, who realises is not that far behind them, making his way steadily yet cautiously over to the entrance of the mines, along with Shieldwing.

After the moment, the ribbon of light suddenly slivers out of his grasp like a snake and, as if magenetized, is drawn into the light of his conjured flame, causing it to gain a faint golden glow. This doesn't seem to do anything to increase its brightness, but it has done... something. He's not sure what, but it is something.

Skobeloff has two options: wait for Rudrick to catch up, or continue into the mines where he can guess Garrock is somewhere ahead. What will Skobeloff do?

Stargaze

Stargaze gave a small smile when Tamba admitted she had a point, but it quickly faded when he mentioned that Plexeem was never like this in the past. She had to admit, she was curious as well about Skobeloff's plan. Whatever smile that had appeared at the thought, disappeared as soon as she sensed the magic.

She looks to Skeboloff speaks up, and she speaks, "Maybe we should go and get help--Wait, Skobeloff?!" Her idea was resoundly shot down when Skobeloff just entered into the mine without a care! She sighs, and she quickly follows after him into the mine. Thankfully, she wasn't alone. Tamba went into the mine with her after Skobeloff. She had voiced the very same question that was on Stargaze's mind.

She listened as Skobeloff gave his long answer, and proceeded to light up the mines with Moon Magic. After he pointed out the tracks, she tried to think over what to do as well, and decided to look around their surroundings as well. But...she was not able to notice anything like Skobeloff is.

She then suggests, "Maybe we should go in and check on them? Make sure they're okay?"

Skobeloff

Skobeloff arched an intrigued eyebrow at the realization that Rudrick and Shieldwing were behind them. "Huh. That's funny..." The drake mused to himself.

"Maybe we should go in and check on them? Make sure they're okay?" Stargaze spoke up then.

"Hold on a sec. There’s a thing you should know." Skobeloff said in response. "Rudrick and Shieldwing are close, but they're not here yet... Which is kinda weird. I mean, they left before us, we stopped for a bit when Tamba joined up, and Rudrick can literally fly. So they should be here already. But somehow we beat them here, and we didn't even bump into them on the way. Funny, right...?" After a moment, Skobeloff realized he'd gotten off topic. "Anyway, point is we've got choices. We could go check on the others... or we could just wait here for Rudrick and Shieldwing to show up. I don't really mind either way. So... what do you wanna do?"

Upon receiving no answer, Skobeloff decided to wait for the two stragglers to catch up.

Something was, indeed, very wrong with Yetu. Fellwing could tell upon approach and certainly upon touch, when something briefly brushed against her mind, only to retreat alongside the fearful troll. It made sense he was scared; she had hurt him, after all.

He had tried to hurt someone first!

He wasn't himself!

Yes, there was more to his fear than that, wasn't there? Fellwing hesitated. Griped by anger as she was, the Seer didn't know whether she had it in her to be a source of comfort — especially after what her magic had done. Would he even allow her to attempt another spell, even if it was Moon Magic?

"He's scared, Runa. You're right, something's happened. Can you... talk to him? Ask him how we can help? I don't think I'm in a position... to..." she looked sheepishly down at her feet, at her claws, remembering the way she'd stomped them down in anger but a moment ago.

Runa nodded and hesitantly approached her brother. However, this just cause Yetu to back away more, clutching his arm even closer to his chest.

"Yetu, it's me, Runa," Runa said softly. Well, as softly as her growly voice would allow. She took a small step closer. "You're hurt, aren't you? I can help, if you'll let me."

Yetu stumbled back again, shaking his head frantically.

"Stubborn fool," Fellwing can hear Garrock mutter under his breath.

They didn't have to wait too long for Rudrick and Shieldwing to catch up, and they hear them long before they see them. Or rather, they hear Rudrick, who seems to be voicing confusion at the lack of barrier in front of the mines. When he catches sight of Tamba, Skobeloff and Stargaze, he abruptly cuts himself off, looking at all three drakes, before saying, in what sounds like his attempt at a stern tone, "Did you lot dispel this barrier? You know it's not very safe in here."

It's not very convincing. If anything, he seems pretty happy to have more company.

Skobeloff

"This wasn't us." Skobeloff said. "Garrock and Fellwing got here before us, so it was probably one of them... Speaking of getting here first, how'd we get here before you? You left first, and we didn't even come after you right away."
