Regeneration: While always in a state of decay, D always comes back to his usual zombie visage in time and can even remove and reattach his own limbs.

Heightened Attributes: Stronger, faster, with increased endurance and durability, as well as no need for food or oxygen.

Invisibility: JD can fade out like a ghost and become invisible for short periods.

Flight: his top speed is less than 200 mph, and he generally flies low due to frequently getting lost.

Skills/Equipment - Flunked out of the Air Force in his early 20's. Decent H2H skills. His powers are granted to him by the mystical green Lantern that brought him back to life.

Weaknesses - While a little tougher than a standard human, anybody with strength or blasting power can annihilate this guy. He'll regenerate completely in about twenty four hours.

BRIEF Bio -

JD flunked out of the Air Force after learning of his parents dying in a car accident back in his hometown of Gotham. He hadn't been back to that hellhole in years, but after losing his latest job as well as his girlfriend... he decided to pay his parents' graves a visit after a few years had passed. Still sporting a bomber jacket he talked quietly to his parents' headstones when he could hear some weirdos nearby. A dirty old green lantern on a mausoleum flickered to life in the pouring rain and one of the local gang members used the lantern to strike JD in the back of the head, killing him on the spot.

The lantern was dropped to the ground as the three men rolled the body and took his shoes, jacket, wallet, etc. Thunder crashed and the lantern flickered to life once more several days later, this time resurrecting the man's body in the morgue. He reached out for the men but they were long gone, so he sought out the lantern. The lantern glowed brighter than ever before now granting real power to the undead man who now had a suit and powers he'd never dreamed of. After locating his attackers he seemingly ate their corrupted souls and upon returning to the lantern in the cemetery JD regurgitated them into the lantern. He also got his coat back. Now he defends those in Gotham who can't defend themselves as... the Deadman.

Notes - Deadman operates out of an old mausoleum in the Gotham cemetery he was reborn in. Rather than Deadman being tied to some random deity I just made his power source the lantern and did the three step thing like Alan Scott's lantern had, and just changed the end result up a bit.

Weaknesses - Fire (Both in the pyrophobia sense and in the sense that fire messes with his psychic-based powers and causes them to go haywire)

Arch Enemy - J'ac'b J'amezon /Dr. Iron Will: J'amez twin brother, the head of the Genetic Research Department of the Martian World Government who was also his brother's handler

Appearance -
His Martian form: Fairly typical green skin with pupilless red eyes in a humanoid form; His back was branded with the mark of the Martian World Government which is usually hidden underneath the blue and red straps and trunks and blue cape that was his 'uniform'. As he was forced to wear that uniform for some time, he sometimes slips into it out of force of habit, but he is seeking to fight that habit.

His main human guise: A 6 ft square jawed, blonde haired Caucasian male with square shoulders. Usually wears a collared shirt, formal slacks, a trench coat, and a fedora like a film noir detective.

His Plastic Man guise: Black haired, slim jawed, slight figured guy with a red top like the Golden Age Plastic Man's with a white undershirt under neath and red pants with a yellow belt, black boots, and a pair of sunglasses.

BRIEF Bio - J'amez was a Maritain Forensic Scientist who suddenly found himself with abilities beyond a normal Martian. The Martian World Government, a Soviet-esque dictatorship, at first sought to persuade him to become their puppet superhero. But when he sought to refuse, they burned his home and family (wife, son, & daughter) to make it seem like he died then placed him under his twin brother's "care" in order to make him into the Martian Manhunter. His will was broken, but then was able to escape due to Dr. Erdel's teleportation experiment and so now tries to keep a low profile as an ordinary human police detective so as to not end up the pawn of Mars or of anyone else ever again. However, when people are in danger around him, J'amez can't help but act. So he ended up becoming Plastic Man on Earth, focusing on his shapeshifting as his primary crime-fighting weapon in such a way as to seem like he's only a very rubbery man.

Notes - Playing around with how in the Golden Age, Martian Manhunter had been a scientist before coming to Earth and of course, Mars still had a very alive population originally and was always supposed to be a 'perfect' place with no crime. I'm also playing with the fact that Mars does have a lower gravity so J'amez would need to be super-strong on some level in order to better blend in with other humans and to function as a superhero.

Mary's transformation grants her a wand with which to cast spells. She is also privvy to the Prowess of Artemis bolstering her skills and the Wisdom of Athena bolstering her knowledge. When not transformed, she's just an unusually plucky teen girl armed with a cellphone.

Weaknesses:
Mary is an ordinary teenage girl until she utters the transformation phrase. Being caught unwares or having her speech or breathing restricted before she can transform renders her completely powerless

Black Alice: A Dark Magical Girl with powers equal and opposite to Mary's. Alice gets her powers from a covenent with the cosmic evil Allura. When she shouts the word "Allura" she transforms into an adult in a dark reflection of Mary's outfit and is granted the Power of Aten, the Cunning of Loki, the Invulnerability of Luna, the Wisdom of Ursula, the Speed of Raiju and the Strength of Amon

Brief Bio:

Mary was adopted from a very young age into a foster family. She was an orphan who never knew her birth parents, nor the secret of her lineage. It wasn't until she was fourteen that she one day opened the front door to find herself in a cave. There she met a cloaked Wizard who told her that she is descended from an ancient lineage of sorcerers, and that it is her destiny to become earth's Champion and accept the role as the guardian pf humanity. He will grant her the powers of the Goddesses themselves, and that all she must do is utter the word 'Zatana'. The moment she did so, lightning struck her, and she found herself in an adult body, wearing a Hero costume. A magic wand had appeared in her hand. She could feelthe magic surging through her body, and the knowledge and wisdomof the Gods flowing into her head.

Even after her superhero career began, her new life still didn't feel quite real. It has been almost three months since she was granted this power, and she still has a lot to learn.

Once a man of conventional Midwestern stock—blond hair, blue eyes, and a stature that blended into the Midway suburbs—he is now a hulking anomaly of flesh and fur. Standing at a looming seven-foot-two, Tarantula is a powerhouse of arachnid geometry: six powerful arms, a spider’s visage seeing the world through eight obsidian eyes, and with a sandy-brown pelt of arachnian fur that covers his massive frame. He eschews modern tactical gear for the aesthetic of a barbarian brawler, wrapping his limbs and nether regions in rugged cloth.

Jonathan Law is a name synonymous with the sharp, angular typeface of the paperback thriller. He is celebrated as a prolific chronicler of corrupt precincts and the desperate men who police them. A writer whose niche success afforded comfortable life in the suburbs of Midway City, where from his large gambrel roofed home he lived a quiet life of literary acclaim, supported by his steadfast German housekeeper, Olga. He had been a hard working author, and he was doing well enough two afford two cars and many other luxuries.

He should have listened to Olga and found a a nice girl at church. But despite his devout Christian upbringing and the traditional values of his St. Roch youth, Law spent his bachelorhood adrift in a sea of shallow appetites. Beneath the disciplined veneer of a professional success story lay just another restless human spirit who longed for what he did not have. In Jonathan's case he longed for a wife and a family of his own.

He heeded more readily the call his own savage and dominating lusts, however, rather the loving spiritual partnership and he claimed to be after. For as much as he idolized the dream of a traditional family, filled with love and connection, his actual pursuit of this dream was all too often an outlet for a darker side of his passions. Looking for the ideal wife, but finding only a series of fleeting, carnal encounters, and predatory flings. And that's where it all went wrong, you see.

One gloomy night his desires led him into a neon-lit abyss. Enticed by a gothic Japanese girl whose bratty, teasing demeanor perfectly mirrored his secret appetite for dominance. That evening of flirtation ended in an utter void of blackness and Jonathan found himself not in a conquest, but a cage.

He awoke into the fever-dream of a clinical horror show. Strapped to a cold table, he saw the girl no longer a submissive toy, but now a laughing architect of agony. There were needles, alien-cold chemicals, and fractured memories of a titanic clash against a golden-clad woman. When the facility finally blossomed into a cleansing explosion, he crawled from the wreckage transformed.

When he awoke, he felt like he had the worst hang over on the planet. And he could not speak. He was confused and lost in a downtown area. Wandering through unfamiliar alleyways in the afternoon light. And everyone who saw him, those who weren't drunk or high, ran away in exaggerated fear. But only when he finally caught sight of his own reflection did he finally understand why. He was now a seven foot tall spider monster!

After a while of reflection and flirtation with despair, Jonathan began to realize that he was now especially well equipped to be like some of the best protagonists he'd ever written about. He could now go toe to toe with mobsters and terrorists, intimidate them, sneak into their lairs, the works. Besides, what was there to lose? It's not like he was ever going to have much of a social life now. Or a family. What then did the money from his books mean anymore?

And so he began to be the hero he would have written about. And he also did write still. He corresponded with Olga about his home and finances. And he corresponded with the press, pretending to be normal citizens, regarding the emergence of a strange new hero. He developed a plan to keep Olga taken care of by making her the director of his finances, while traveling form city to city, fighting crime. But after a few months his old housekeeper began to insist that he return home. He warned her that he was now "hideously disfigured", but she replied that "physical appearance is of little value to our eternal fate," and that he "should spend more time worrying about the beauty or disfigurement of your soul." Eventually he did return home, and found the German woman shockingly accepting of his new appearance and willing to aid him in his new purpose.
