Jen have Mimi the Slowking to send a psychic message to Aki she is ready to train Kiara.

Haru answered the call and told Jen to meet her in Kalos near the mastery tower in Shalor City, it had a battle area just outside the tower plus her friend Korrina the gym leader of Shalor City/ Mega evolution successor could help as well.

“Aki told me where to meet her,” Jen told Liam and Shiranui.

In a few day's time, Liam had Sherlock teleport him to Poni Island. He stretched and enjoyed the Alolan sun once more. He then walked to the Pokemon Center at the foot of Vast Poni Canyon to see a small party awaiting him. Not only was his opponent Iris there, but so was: the local Joy, the Island Kahuna Hapu, the Rotom Drone that was sent to oversee the match, and the Totem Kommo-o. Before taking her place she called out her Emolga and told her to stay here and watch. Iris specified to the little electric-type quite clearly that she is not taking place in this battle.
Liam greeted all of them in standard Alolan fashion before taking his place on the field.
The Rotom Drone declared that this match would decide if Iris retained her place in the Master's Eight, or if Johto Champion Coleman would take her place. It said that each trainer would use two Pokemon, and each trainer could either Mega Evolve or use a Z move once.
"Dragonite, go!" Iris called as her Dragon emerged. Liam thought to himself about how this is one of the angriest-looking Dragonites he's ever seen. Liam sent out his own Dragonite.

"Iris has the first move, Begin!" The Rotom drone called.
"Dragonite, Dragon Claw!" Iris called.
"Take to the sky and use Dragon Pulse!" Liam called. Liam's Dragonite soared into the air and avoided the attack. He fired the attack at the other Dragonite who quickly knocked it away with wind by beating its wings, knocking the attack away, nearly hitting a Wingull that was flying by.
"Ice Beam!" both Iris and Liam called. A huge column of ice shot up in the middle of the arena. Iris called for Dragon Rush, which blasted through the wall of ice and landed a direct hit on Liam's Dragonite. Liam called for Ice Punch as Iris called for another Dragon Rush. both Dragonites clashed in mid air, the shockwave shattered the remains of the ice wall which those shards hit the Dragonites causing a Double KO. The Dragonites were recalled.
Liam sent out Kommo-o while Iris sent out Haxorus.
"Dragon Dance," Liam called.
"Dragon Pulse!" Iris responded.
Kommo-o began elegant movements that allowed it to avoid the attack.
"Clanging Scales!" Liam called. the loud sound made everyone around other than Liam and the totem Komo-o cover the ears, the move dealt conisderable damage to Haxorus, who responded with Giga Impact. The Attack hit but would leave Haxorus unable to move for a moment. Liam went for a big move with this opening. He activated the Z-Power Ring and used Clangorus Soulblaze the attack his Haxorus while he couldn't move and KO'd him, Giving Liam rank 7 in the Master's 8 and putting Iris in Liam's old spot of 11. He thanked her for the battle as Joy took the four pokemon to heal. Iris' Emolga flew over and latched onto the side of Iris' head in a hug. She comforted the small pokemon after shaking Liam's hand and thanking him for the battle. Once the Pokemon were healed, Liam had Sherlock teleport him back.

While Liam was having his battle with Iris, Shiranui was training up for his battle with Alain. The venue for the battle was chosen to be the Winstrates' house in Hoenn. He had caught a Snorunt in the Crown Tundra, named his new friend Yuki-Onna and evolved it to Froslass. He managed to find a Starminite, a Dragoninite, a Feraligite, a Froslassite, an Excadrite, a Scolipite, a Greninjite, a Delphoxite, a Hawluchanite and a Meowsticite—newly discovered mega stones that would allow Mega Evolution to more of his Pokémon including his newest catch. He sent the Greninjite off to Liam by Delibird as a celebratory gift for making the Masters Eight.

Jen was teleported to to the location to the location to meet Aki.

When the Delibird arrived with the gift, Liam was reading an article his cousin from his father’s side in Kalos had sent. The article talked about a special tournament that occurred nightly in Lumiose. It seemed to have a ranking system similar to the World Coronation. Liam saw the accompanying photo was have a young boy, only a year or so younger than himself. This boy had dyed hair as well, but instead of being pink hair dyed black, this was black hair dyed in a partly red, partly blue gradient design. He was standing with a Feralagatr that looked different. The article talked about how this Feralagatr was using its recently discovered Mega form.

“Wow, Félix has grown,” Liam thought to himself. The Delibird then gently pecked his hand to get his attention.
“Deli!” It said as it handed over the small package. Liam thanked the Delibird and offered it an Orren Berry before it took off again. Liam opened the package to see the new Mega stone inside it.

Aki and Haru meet her there as Haru told her "Aki, caught a new pokemon that recently had its mega stone found so you'll both being trained". Aki showed her the Froslass he caught before Korrina meet up with them, a ton of Mega stones on her by the sachetload before saying "Right, send out your pokemon you want to Mega evole and lets see how strong your bond is"

Aura want to o battle but Kiara pops out of her fireball, “this is my battle.” Kiara said as she steps in front of Jen and Jen.@Mike the Bloodwolf

Korina nodded as she sent out her Lucario as she said "If you Lucario wants some training she can training with my Lucario, she senses a familer pressance. Your Aura wouldn't happen to be related to Ryu would she?". She took out a second ball and sent out Hawluca who had a mega stone.

“aura is the daughter of Ryu and Cammy. Is Hyluka a relative of Cammy or Mai?” Jen said as she sense filmilar about Hyluka.

While waiting for his friends to return, Liam primarily stayed nice and cozy in the Pokemon Center, and on occasion visted the local hot spring, sometimes with one or two of his Pokemon, like Beckham or Jiriya with him.

Shiranui arrived at the Winstrates' home in Hoenn ahead of time as he had been challenged by Vito Winstrate during his preparations in Mauville City. After greetings were exchanged, Shiranui presented the family a gift in the form of a Victini Poké Doll. "It warms my heart to see younger generations keep the traditions alive," Vicky, the grandmother said.
"Born and raised in Ecruteak City," Shiranui replied, "The traditions are taken seriously over there."
"What Pokémon is it?" Vivi, the daughter asked.
"This is Victini," Shiranui answered, "It is said that trainers with a Victini always win."
"Cutie!" Vivi commented.

At the backyard battlefield, Vito stated the rules. "This one will just be one-on-one."
"I accept your terms," Shiranui agreed. Vito sent out his Alakazam and Shiranui sent out his Scolipede, Mukade (Zoro in Illusion).
"Alakazam, this one looks poisonous," Vito warned, "Use Psychic!"
"Mukade, open with Skitter Smack!" Alakazam used his psychic powers and Mukade was flung around to and fro. After the attack ended, Mukade skittered behind and struck, lowering Alakazam's Special Attack stat.
"I can't read its mind," Alakazam warned Vito, "That thing must be a Dark type."
"Alakazam, Focus Blast!"
"Mukade, Sucker Punch!" Staying behind, Mukade gave Alakazam a piercing lunge, dealing a critical hit and leaving the psychic exhausted. Alakazam took the opportunity to fire a point blank Focus Blast and after the dust settled it saw not the Scolipede it was initially battling but the Zoroark it really was with his Special Defence lowered.
"Thought you can fool me with a Zoroark? I caught on when Alakazam couldn't read your Zoroark's mind," Vito boasted.
"Zoro is one of the craftier Zoroark," Shiranui rebutted, "He feigned getting hit by your opener. Your counter-attack was a good one, though."
"Alakazam, finish Zoroark off with a Dazzling Gleam!"
"Zoro, do the same with Night Daze!" A flash of powerful bright light met pitch black dome of darkness as the battlers used their finishers. The Night Daze was slowly winning out due to the effect of Skitter Smack, battle experience and being mated to an Alolan Ninetales. Zoro's move hit and Alakazam was defeated.
"I can see why you were the Hoenn runner-up," Vito commented.
"Our skills need to be kept sharp especially since I'm facing Alain from Kalos in the near future," Shiranui replied.

Liam and Jiriya were soaking in the hot springs. Liam questioned the safety of a Pokémon that seemed to be tap dancing near the edge of the tub. He reached over and tapped on his Rotomphone a few times:

"Mr. Rime, The Comedian Pokémon, and the evolved form of Galarian Mr. Mime. and Ice and Psychic-Type. It's highly skilled at tap dancing.it waves its icy cane in time with its graceful movements, its amusing movements have made it very popular."

Liam's Rotomphone slipped back down under the towel. Liam turned back to facing Jiriya when he heard a splash and Mr. Rime panicking as he splashes about. He turned back and saw a few kids pointing at Mr. Rime and laughing. Jiriya went to help the Pokémon while Liam went to the kids and told them off for being mean.
One of the kids started mocking Liam then told him to leave as this place was for "locals only". His pals upon seeing who was telling them off told their friend to shut up.

"Why should I!?" the loudmouth kid said. "Like I'm scared of some guy"

"Doug, that's a regional champion and one of the Master's Eight in the World Coronation" a boy said timidly.

The boy, whose name was apparently, Doug deflated faster than a hot air balloon sliced by Razor Leaf and began rapidly apologizing to Liam.
"Don't apologize to me, Apologize to Mr. Rime" Liam said pointing to the Pokémon currently panting heavily while resting against the wall." Soon after, with an angry look on his face, Doug's father took him away

Korrina nodded "My lucario and Ryu are brothers, Mike's father Lucario was their father. Both children were extremely powerful so Ryu brother wants to see how powerful Aura is" Korrina said with a smile.

Kirara got mad and fell asleep and Aura sighs. “how about a double battle,” Jen said as she pets Kirara to get her in a better mood?

Korrina smiled and said "Your on, give Kiara the Mega stone and Hawlucha will take mine", she walked to her end of the battlefield and switch her keystone before smiling as she said "Ready when you are Jen". She sent out Lucario and Hawlucha.

Kirara wakes up and Jen gives her the Mega stone. Aura and Kirara both jumps onto the battlefield as Jen smiles as she is ready to battle.
