Hi Guild! It’s me, Bugg! Back at it again with my current obsessions! This will probably update and change every once and a while.
Anyway! Back to the everythings. Again, I am Bugg; I’m a Roleplayer who was born in the late 90s. I am Non-Binary (he/they), and I live in good ol’ New Zealand! (So I’m likely like, at least 12 hours in front of you.) I’ve been roleplaying for 18 years now, so I know the ropes. I roleplay probably every sort of genre for roleplay; bar Smut - I will do the lead up and everything, but once it gets to the act, we fade to black.
I am also a writer in hobby (with hopes to write a novel series >>; ) so I can happily say I’m semi to fully lit in terms of writing. I can write between 2-3 paragraphs all the way up to easily like, 10 paragraphs if you let me. I don’t have a preference in terms of gender of character to play, plus no preference in terms of what pairings we do! I just suffer from the addiction of Slow Burn Romances. BIG fan of Comfort pairings.
I don’t tend to use face claims for my characters (I usually play Original characters, I’m vaguely fussy with Fandom roleplays), but if you’re one to do that; I don’t mind at all! I am currently unemployed, so most of my days are free to reply as much as I can unless I have something else that pops up; but if something pops up or if I’m not feeling up to it, I will let you know, and I only ask my partners to do the same.
Fair warning, I love World Building, so our out of character talks might end up being a big world-building spider webs! Right, let’s get to the meat of it all Buggs current cravings! > Genres: Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Supernatural, Lovecraftion Horror, Adventure >Vague Pairings: Unlikely Lovers (Different Clans/Species) Cult Leader / Deity in Humanoid Form Science Experiment / Private Thief Monster Hunter / Monster Rival Cowboys
]There’s no real plot in this one yet, but we can work something out! Both of our characters are Vampires (Maybe possibly other Supernatural species), but this is specifically a female/female pairing. My character is Sophia, a fun-loving, slightly naive Fruit Bat based Vampire; she is the literal moonshine in any room at any time. She’s only 130 years old, and she doesn’t really know what she’s doing with herself. Your character is a classic, black-gothic bat Vampire; they can be grumpy or just sort of ‘over it’. Preferably older than Sophia by a couple hundred years. This will be a modern-time based roleplay, we can hash out Vampire Lore together!
](Please note; this doesn’t have to specifically need to be Star Wars based, I am a sorta casual fan of Star Wars.) Dark-Star is a well known (Sith)Space villain, whose very name strikes fear into anyone who hears it; coming across him is almost a guaranteed death in the stars - Well, that would be if he remembered any of it.
Through some strange circumstances, Maxwell Soal, lost his memories after an accident - That of course, he doesn’t remember. He still has the powers he had from when he was Dark-Star, but he has no clue that he has these powers, or that his old name caused so much fear through the cosmos.
Your character(Any gender) is a Bounty Hunter, who was tasked with what could only be called a ‘suicide mission’ to try and recover stuff from Dark-Stars’ wreckage - If they can, they should kill the villain or they’ll likely not leave the crashed ship. You end up finding Max; who has no idea who you’re trying to find, where he is, or anything in his past. His voice feels vaguely familiar, you have heard Dark-Stars monologues over the radios, tv screens, holo-screens.
Surely this idiot isn’t… No, that’d be strange.
You get the stuff from the ship and take it back to the one who gave you the job, a man only known as ‘The Collector’. You decide to take this golden-retriever space-man with you, he seems to know things he shouldn’t, and he’s not sure how he knows these things. Maybe he can be helpful for your characters main goal?
](Probably worded weirdly due to coming up with it late at night and haven't gotten around to fixing it up, forgive me)
You thought your world was going well; you had managed to escape your home town - a small podunk place where nothing seemed to happen - and made yourself big someway or another. Then tragedy strikes; and for whatever reason you're stuck without a house, a job, or anywhere to really go.
You don't really have much in the way of family, but you do have a close friend back in your home town that always said you can fall back on her. you give her a call - it's a last ditch effort, maybe she can lend you some money and let you crash at hers while you figure things out.
to your surprise, she's more than willing to house you, and even said she'd look out for jobs in the city - she has connections to quite a few places here. You head back, move in with her; surprisingly she has a lovely house, she's done well for herself since you left - but she never gives you a straight answer as to what she does for a job. The day after you move in she says she "pulled some strings" and got you a nice cushy office job, being a secretary for one of the corps bigwigs here in town. "great" you think, "another man who will treat their secretary like a piece of meat", but to your surprise when she takes you in to meet the company's head person the next day - you're greeted by a tall, mysterious sort of woman who has a strange feeling to her. but she's nothing but kind to you, you have a months trial working there; all goes well. you're taken out for work drinks by some of your colleagues - who your friend had hinted towards being careful with. you drink a bit too much, a couple guys think they can get you to theirs to have their fun... the rest of that night is kind of.. blurry. but you do remember seeing your boss at some point.
you wake up the next day with a nasty hangover- you have no clue who's house you're in. but you can't help but snoop - it's a grand house with its own library and indoor swimming pool! whoever has this house must be in mega debt or mega rich to afford a swanky place like this.
you're then surprised by your boss, you're in her house. she tells you she found you stumbling out the bar and took you to hers for safety - the streets aren't safe for a young woman to walk alone, of course.
only then you remember a vague rumor about this town; beasts that roam the streets taking innocents flesh and souls for their own.
was it by fate you were brought here - or something more sinister? long story short; sapphic pairing of new worker and boss - Boss is secretly the protector of the town but is afflicted by a horrible curse in doing so. secret cult things are trying to bring back a horrible monster to destroy the town and spread death and destruction - maybe a prophecy that the interns family is tied into. Can sorta go either way with the intern helping the boss manage their curse and take down the cult, or they could ruin the town together. Bosses curse similar to vampire/werewolf curse but more cannibalistic and less tied to the moon. (if it's not obvious the friend is a witch, sourced and trained young by the boss to help keep her curse in check and also the cult from running rampant) the cult is trying to bring the original primal evil from the area 'back from the dead' and are sacrificing people to find the 'perfect vessel'; not realizing they only have half of the puzzle. the darkness they're trying to raise and the bosses curse are two halves of a whole evil. originally the cult succeeded yonks ago and with the help of a powerful witch(tied to the friends family) they split the beast into a lockable entity and a mortal - not realizing the curse was still technically there.
A semi-modern setting; A company has been using Prisoners as "Resource Collection Agents" - More specifically this company is a Health-based company, trying to make a proper drug against cancer and other cell mutations - without the use of radiation.
To the outside world, the Prisoners jobs are simple - Go into quarantined areas and collect whatever is needed; You're given everything you need to get in and out. Doing the jobs is said to get time off your sentence; Yada yada.
But the company figured something out. Radiation doesn't just cause and kill cancer- it mutates. And they can use that to make super soldiers and human weapons for warfare.
So they decide to run a little 'test', send in a small team (4-6 people) of their least likely(to be released) Prisoners into a space that's highly irradiated with different things. They gjve them 'correct' equipment, tell them it's an easy task; a weeks excursion at most.
But they're lying; once the Prisoners are through the entrance to the area; it's cut off. There are cameras everywhere that are hidden - for the most part. This is all a huge experiment to the company, but it is psychological and physical hell to the Prisoners.
There are other beasts within the containment area too, but the prisoners don't know that. They don't know what they've walked into.
Will they survive? Will they still be themselves?
You and your team of fellow adventurers had heard about this forgotten and abandoned lab deep in a remote forest. All the paperwork you could find on it mentioned some sort of 'failed experiment' or 'failed intergration'; but there was no notes on what really happened. What you don't know is this exact lab had been working on what could be the next level in soldier engineering - In a way a super serum that wouldn't outwardly alter someones appearance; but give them the strength and abilities multiple times that of a standard human, even going as far as to alter the way the human body works with its senses and metabolism.
How were they doing this, you ask? Alien Parasites; that crashed down in the late 80s in a small meteorite in the crater that the lab now sits upon. What will you find hidden deep within the confines of this hellish place? what records and specimens lurk in the dark? You could get good money from the stuff you find in here, if you find the right buyer. But is the ticket price really worth the hidden potential of becoming a host to the creatures that tore this place apart?
If you have any other ideas you think I might want to try roleplaying with you; please feel free to PM me!
If you're up for it I may have a character concept and story concept ready to expand on for a lovecraftian horror setting. Could either do a
Cult Leader / Deity in Humanoid Form Monster Hunter / Monster
pairing for that, depending on your preference for the setting. I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment, so I just wanted to drop my interest for now. If you need more details into my writing style, experience, etc. I'd be happy to provide that when I have more time on my hands.
