Hazel is the ‘homeroom’ teacher for Block C, where the players are. They are also the only professor whose classes have very little to do with working out or training. Instead, Hazel’s class is about understanding your Pokémon on a scientific level and using that to enable Pokémon to unlock their potential. Expect to learn how to keep a Pokémon on a diet or how to draw out latent power through unorthodox methods.

Papaya’s class is the most in-depth of them all, as she is an instructor who helps Pokémon learn, hone, and perfect techniques. They practice with accuracy and combat effectiveness without direct sparring here as well.

Spruce is the conditioning teacher. He helps design the best regimen for a Pokémon to train, both physical and mental. Spruce is way more helpful as a coach than a teacher. His energy seems to make the biggest wimps surpass their limits.

Maple is more of a medic and referee than an actual teacher. He oversees sparring and analyzes the best ways to improve teams through combat training. He is also there to help Pokémon recover from injuries and to prevent injuries by reading the signs that Pokémon’s bodies inevitably give.

Just outside of the complex, secluded in the wilderness, roughly a quarter mile away. The battle grids are by far the best place for sparring and battles. Secluded but close enough for medical attention.

The battle grids are large platforms with elevated towers for the trainers to stand on to get a proper vantage point over the area. The area appears as a low, white grid; various augmentations and changes can be made to the area to make it simulate roughly any environment. Several pre-made designs include: Rocky mountainscape, tall grass fields, Bamboo forest, and many more.

These are state-of-the-art inventions used by the Valkyrie league, and as such, this is likely the students' first taste of this tech.

Surrounding the courtyard are several large houses. These are the dorms and living spaces for the students, but they are in functionality more like a sorority house. These buildings may house up to eight people, and there are currently four of them. Housing here includes a living room and bedroom, as well as a private shower and bathroom. Each building has one communal kitchen and living room as well.

Very little furniture is supplied, but a spacious walk-in closet is built into the bedroom, as well as a futon. Each room also has a safe for personal belongings and a desk in the living room to give the students a comfortable place to do any other activities beyond their Pokémon training.

Built into the central building of the overall school on the left wing is the gymnasium. The Gym itself is a multi-floor establishment. The upper area is full of workout equipment, weights, and dumbbells. The second floor is primarily open-plan, but various forms of sandbags are about, as this area is designed for training technique and form. The lower floor is primarily used for light sparring and working on combinations and techniques. This bottom floor is primarily covered in padding or small rings.

On the left wing, on the bottom floor, is the Olympic-sized pool and various other large bodies of water. Primarily, these are used for helping water-type Pokémon, but the pools are far from limited to just them. Swimming is a core exercise for any Pokémon (provided they can go in the water).

On the second floor of the left wing is the bathhouse. Primarily, this is several saunas and sweat lodges, but ice baths, boiling water, and mud baths are also available for use. Behind the left wing is the hot springs, rich with mineral water and hot water that is perfect for relaxation and recovery.

The courtyard is the large area between the dorms and the main building. It is a large and spacious patch of greenery with well-maintained hedges and a large fountain in the middle. Stone pathways guide people to the facilities about the area.

Behind the facilities in the large, open garden. Much of this garden is a massive expanse of plants to see and relax: an arboretum, a botanical garden, but the garden serves a very real purpose, too. This area is used for cultivating berries and various important foods for Pokémon’s diets. Students are welcomed, or even invited, to partake of the area, and to use the various berries cultivated here for battles and for dietary needs.

A staple and selling point of the academy is the fact that it was constructed on a fairly remote island. The island itself, however, is shockingly sizable at nearly 30,000Kms in area. Most of the island is untouched, though small trails have been made to safely deliver people to the more scenic views, and game trains left by Pokémon little the area.

This expansive wilderness gives people a chance to get away and enjoy the serenity of nature or to train in more recreational ways: Rock climbing, hiking, etc. The more pragmatic aspect of it all is that the island is teeming with Pokémon. Many types from all across the world call this island home, and it is rife with potential additions to a student's team.

Val is a massive woman. Tall and she is broad and made of muscle. Her skin is a dark tanned color, and she is always smiling and cheerful, leaving her with laugh lines around her mouth. She has plush lips and perfectly white teeth.

Val has a strong jawline, especially for a woman, giving her face a somewhat angular and blocky frame. Despite this, the rest of her facial features are fairly soft. She has large brown eyes that gleam with excitement and a tiny button nose. Her black hair is wavy, cut short to her shoulders, and is usually tied back by a scrunchie or lifted by a sweatband.

Personality:
Val is a good sport and a great friend to have. She is eager to learn and loves to test herself, and rarely lets her temperament get in the way. She is protective of those around her and brave in the face of adversity, but can sometimes come off as overbearing. Val is used to being around buff fighters and her tough brothers, and as such, she can be a bit rough with people unintentionally.

Val is a bit of a meathead. She struggles with thinking of strategies beyond hitting harder and has never been much of an academic. She applies herself in everything she does but when it comes to pursuits of knowledge, she always seems to fall flat. Despite this, Val has an unwavering perseverance that keeps her from giving up. She is also smarter than she may look, though most of her knowledge lies within more practical skills: cooking, cleaning, martial arts, and survival skills.

He is stuck to his fundamentals and slow to act. He studies and reacts appropriately but more importantly, takes his time.

Outside of combat, he acts the way you might expect an old man to. He takes it easy, preferring leisure and order to his life. He is incredibly patient but somewhat grumpy, from years of training tikes.

He often gets carried away and pushes himself.

Personality: Easily the laziest member of the team, but a total savant. They cost of talent and raw power but avoid training. Roboot can be a very moody, grouchy Pokémon and is by far the most likely to ignore Val’s commands. It comes as no surprise that they but heads with Val. Roboot tends to try to look cool and nonchalant at all times, but the facade falls apart when they get into a battle and feel overwhelmed. They take defeat very poorly and brood when they are put down.

Appearance: (As I have no proper ref for him, we shall go with a written description.) Adolphian stands at roughly 170 centimetres(5 feet, 7 inches). He is rather meek and lithe, having a sort of mouse-like air to him. His skin is pale with a slight blue-purple tint to him. His eyes are a bright cyanish colour and almost seem to glow when he's experiencing intense emotion, though they're almost always hidden behind a ruby red visor. His hair is brown with streaks of red and green, reminiscent of rainbow eucalyptus. Finally, he wears a black labcoat with a dark blue undershirt. On his lapel he has a brass pin in the shape of some sort of planet with a comet burning overhead. Overlaid onto the planet pin is the letters NCI in a metallic white, with the I tucked into the C. His trousers are black and he wears a pair of black work boots with blue laces. Oh his right cheek is an oddly isometric birthmark in a slightly bluish colour, shaped like a revive. Finally, his right hand is mechanical. However, it is almost always covered with a glove with a sparkling crystal embedded into the dorsum area.

Personality: Adolphian is typically analytical and cold, treating strangers with distrust and suspicion. However, if someone were to suffer an injury, he'd jump into action and attempt to treat them as best as he could. Though he's generally fearful of people upon first meeting them, he loathes to see people in pain and will do what he can to ensure their safety and returning them to what they were doing previously. However, once one gets to know him and gain his trust, while still cold, he shows a fragile sort underneath. Otherwise kind and caring, he puts on a visage of ice as a defence mechanism. Once one learns about the Adolphian underneath the nevermeltice, they'd find a damaged man who simply makes measures to reduce getting hurt further. In fact, he's quite protective over those he cares about and will show little mercy to those who take enjoyment in those he deems innocent. While he dislikes most people however, he has a great passion for Pokemon. He has a sort of affinity with them and has a tendency to go into the wild simply to be around Pokemon.

History: Adolphian comes from a rather unique region. He was born at the end of a great war between the two great powers of the 'great crater island' and though he was young, witnessing the two regions of Eisenblatt and Rukala unite and form Stahlblatt as it is known today left a great mark on him. He went from following his parents and hiding in a bunker to hide from attacking Pokemon outfitted for war to witnessing a nation rebuild itself under the ideals of unity. As he came of age, his initial goal was to work in a laboratory. Eventually, he got an apprenticeship under the regional professor, known simply as Doktor Hertz, due to his experiments in electricity. For a long time, the only Pokemon Adolphian had were a Shinx gifted to him by the professor, and a Vulpix, whom he found wounded in the wilderness and subsequently nursed back to health.

However, disaster struck when one of the professor's experiments went horribly wrong. He attempted to utilize an unusually energetic type of crystals found in the caves of Stahlblatt and in a catastrophic event, the laboratory was left naught but a pile of rubble while the two were still working. While the professor remarkably suffered only minor injuries, Adolphian was left with major injuries and brain damage which was eventually overcome. Due to the damage to his hand and an unfortunate rapidly spreading infection, his right hand had to be amputated. Fortunately however, he was able to get it replaced with an advanced robotic. Due to damage to his cardiac system, he also had to get a cardiac regulator installed. While it certainly helps his heart, it does mean powerful electric shocks are dangerous to him. Regrettably, he saw the worst of people during his recovery and was often verbally abused and bullied due to both his difficulties in speech and changes after the incident.

Following his recovery, he attempted to avoid physical contact as much as possible, his only contacts being his co-workers and the occasional check-up by doctors who wished to view his recovery. It wasn't until an old colleague and close friend of his made contact. Evilane, as she was called, had always had a great interest in the trainer lifestyle and took the first chance she had to travel the world. After returning to Stahlblatt, she had revealed to Adolphian that she had made incredible progress in her career as a trainer and had become revered across the world as a champion-level trainer, and a darn good one at that. With Evilane's encouragement, Adolphian finally ended his partial isolation and decided to take the life of a trainer more seriously. He took on a few new party members and while he never went more than a party of 6, he knew that he had to make his old friend proud. One day, he'd challenge her to a battle, and even if he lost, he'd show not just her, but the entire world just how much he'd grown since then. The world is but a stage, and the doctor-turned-trainer was going to shine!

Goals: After the fateful encounter with Evilane, Adolphian has become dedicated to growing the abilities of both himself as a trainer and raising a powerful team. He dreams of challenging her to a battle, and thus came to

Personality: Kitsi is incredibly affectionate and definitely the leader figure of the group. While Adolphian attempts to remain distant from others, Kitsi often attempts to put a spanner in the works, so to speak. She will attempt to encourage both her trainer and fellow team members to interact with others, even going as far to try to get into a bit of trouble to get Adolphian to interact. With younger Pokemon, she acts as a sort of motherly figure, giving affection and care, especially if she feels they're lonely. However if she feels as though a trainer is treating their Pokemon improperly(god forbid she meets an abusive trainer), she'll attempt to avoid them. If they attempt interaction, she'll glare at them and refuse to battle, even if challenged. She's not much of a fan of battling, however, she will battle if it's a simple friendly spar. And if someone who she deems worthy is in danger, she'll do everything possible to convince her trainer and team to protect them. Though not a powerful battler, she's skilled in trickery and tries to outwit her opponents in battle.

Personality: Don, while protective of Adolphian like the others, reflects his distance. Unless Adolphian trusts someone, she'll attempt to minimize interaction with others. She's quiet and her bright red eyes pierce into one as if she can see straight through them, and considering her unique vision, it's very possible she could. Luxray are said to have xray vision and she certainly does. While affectionate towards her trainer, even trainers that he trusts are much less likely to recieve positive attention as any of his other Pokemon. Ever since the incident, she's remained by the side of Adolphian and will protect him and the rest of his team, even if it endangers her life. When battling, she can be a bit reckless, heading into battles at full force. However, she's quite intelligent and keen on learning new strategies, so long as it means she can protect her fellow team better.

Kielak is one of Adolphian's most recent additions, having been rescued as a Staravia. He remains loyal to Adolphian, believing life to be safer by his side than remaining a wild Pokemon. While he's not used to battling, he's quite strong and able to take a good few hits before being taken down. While in a friendly battle, he lazes about a bit and doesn't often take battles as seriously as he should. However, he can get quite competitive and when the battles get tough or he wants to show off, he attacks with no mercy. Unfortunately for him, this reckless behavior comes at the risk of himself. He's prone to self damage and even putting risk to the trainers in battle. Adolphian has had to step in to prevent Kielak from 'seeing red' on more than one occasion.

Lekarzie is certainly the moral guide of the group. While Kitsi proves quite affectionate to the other members, Lekarzie's abilities as a psychic type as well as her past as the former Pokemon of a retired psychologist leads to her getting an innate understanding of the issues bothering those around her. When not in battle, she often leaves Adolphian's side to help people who she can sense might need someone to talk to, or simply a positive support. However, when she's needed to help in battle, she's a sort of glass cannon. Her attacks are powerful and varied enough that she's useful in a variety of situations. She also has a limited ability to understand her opponent. While in the heat of battle, her foresight isn't too useful, she can at least get an upper hand, especially in trainers who prove to be the slow and calculating type. Though she's quite weak defensively, she does her best to ensure battles are finished as quickly as possible to reduce any potential suffering. She also has strong healing abilities, and though she's unfortunately unable to heal herself, she makes for a fantastic partner for Adolphian during when he is assisting a patient.

Personality: Toddbringer is designed like a tank, with a speed to match. He's not very social and tends to prefer to sit quietly and observe, giving the occasional vocalization when necessary. He's the calm and calculated type, his mind analytical and spending time to observe. With Lekarzie's help as a communicator, he's assisted Adolphian with his research and studies. Ever since he hatched from an egg, he's always taken an interest in Adolphian's work and aspires to help him in any way possible. Though not big on battling, he takes each battle as an opportunity to learn. He might struggle with a trainer on the first match, a rematch allows him to utilize what he learned the first time and press any weaknesses he finds. While all the Pokemon in the team have a necklace with a crystal taken from the Stahlblatt caverns as a means of identification, Toddbringer's chest horn has been embedded with a crystal tip. Though Adolphian would claim that it's natural, it was Toddbringer's idea after the tip of the horn broke off during a particularly intense fight.

Personality: Herzinfarkt is quite a tricksy creature. Originally coming from the arboreal forests of low Stahlblatt, she took notice of Adolphian during his many trips alone. Taking an interest in the unusual scientist, she watched him from a distance. Unusually, though she was female, she appeared male. Being a unique anomaly, she was no stranger to sciency types wishing to capture her for study. However, Adolphian was different. He never captured Pokemon against their will, unlike other trainers. He had an aura to him that she'd never seen in a trainer as well. As such, she eventually decided to sneak up on the unsuspecting trainer and jumped him, trying to gauge how he'd react. Of course, she scared the living daylights out of him. And after eventually convincing him to take her with him on his journey, she uses her same trickery to fool opponents. Her psychic abilities allow her to use a variety of means to confuse and disorient her opponents using things from mind games to illusions. When she's managed to get her foe confused enough, she strikes at them with her powerful attacks. Though she's not as well liked by the rest of the team due to her tendency to play pranks on them, she's seen as more of a goofball than any sort of annoyance.

Appearance: Lucida is petite, 5' 2" tall with a slim build and thin limbs. Her pale blonde hair is often tied up, usually in twin tails but the exact style varies.

As should be obvious, Lucida likes to style herself in eye-catching and extravagant ways. Frilly clothing, make-up and coloured contacts in bold, but not always bright, colours.

Personality: When on stream Lucida tries to be high energy and enthusiastic, putting on a bit of an act to act in a cutesier way than normal. At the same time, she doesn’t try to fully hide her mean streak or occasional toxicity as she finds that this actually plays well with her audience, so long as she doesn’t go too far or pick the wrong target.

Off stream she tends to be a lot calmer and more lowkey; finding her stream persona to be a little draining. When away from the camera she is more focused and professional and can be surprisingly business minded and calculating in the way she approaches things.

History: Born and raised in Paldea in the beautiful coastal town of Porto Marinada, Lucida knew from an early age what she wanted to be. A singer/musician and a famous streamer. Music was something she was exposed to a lot as a child with both of her parents being big music fans, though they were not musicians themselves, and the idea of making music of her own was something that greatly appealed to her. Streaming, meanwhile, was something that she saw other people doing and it seemed like a good way to share music that also meshed well with her outgoing personality.

Unfortunately it turned out that Lucida had almost no talent for either singing, playing instruments or writing music; she did pick up a thing or two about editing music, but her dream of being a musician died young. Even so she still wanted to become a streamer and decided to instead focus on becoming an online personality. That didn’t seem like enough though so she decided to take up Pokemon battling since that was always popular and would allow her to compete with other big streamers, as well as a way to incorporate her love of Poison types into what she did. Lucida already had two Pokemon that joined her on her streams already, her Glimmet Bauble and Chunk the Wooper, who were more than happy to go along with her plan.

Lucida tried this for a few years but found little success, as by this point the Levincia Gym Leader Iono had already established a solid fan base and trying to break into that realm where she was already queen proved to be exceedingly difficult. Things took a turn for the worse when she was caught on stream making some toxic comments towards Iono in frustration as constantly being compared to her, which led to her losing many of the small audience she had and being semi-cancelled by her rabid fan base.

Coming to the conclusion that it was unlikely she would ever find success in Paldea following that incident, Lucida decided to try her luck in another region and after some thought came up with the idea that the distant and snowy region of Sinnoh far from home would be a good place to restart her journey and make a name for herself with a fresh audience.

Goals: To become the most popular streamer, of course. And if she can beat a bunch of gyms, become the Champion of a few different regions and make a name for herself as a trainer at the same time, then all the better.

Kaius is broad-shouldered, heavy-built, and difficult to overlook in a crowd. Years of training have given him the sort of physique built through repetition, conditioning, sparring, and practical labor rather than aesthetic perfection. Muscle sits beneath softness rather than sharp definition. He looks like someone equally comfortable running drills at sunrise, hauling equipment, helping rebuild a dock fence after a storm, or stepping into a battle ring.

Warm tan skin, bright blue eyes, and thick dark hair that rarely cooperates soften an otherwise imposing frame. He keeps a short beard that lives somewhere between intentional maintenance and “good enough.” His clothing leans toward functional comfort: athletic wear, rolled sleeves, weathered casual clothes, things that won't complain about sweat, sand, rain, or accidental battle damage.

Despite his size, Kaius rarely feels intimidating at first meeting. He smiles easily, laughs genuinely, and carries himself with the approachable steadiness of someone used to working alongside people rather than above them.

That softness tends to sharpen considerably once battle begins.

Steady, dependable, and warm without being overly sentimental, Kaius is the sort of person people naturally drift toward when things become uncertain. He is competitive without becoming abrasive, encouraging without becoming permissive, and confident without needing to dominate a room to prove it.

Raised around dojo discipline, Kaius approaches battling the same way he approaches training: fundamentals matter, consistency matters, and effort only matters if it produces growth. He trains daily and expects both himself and his Pokémon to put honest work into improvement, though his methods favor shared effort, accountability, and encouragement over harshness.

Kaius is not flashy.

His family operated the **Arakawa Dojo**, a modest but respected training space focused less on ceremony and more on practical discipline. Conditioning. Endurance. Partner drills. Defensive fundamentals. Trainer-Pokémon coordination. Growing up there meant helping maintain training spaces, joining drills early, and learning quickly that improvement rarely arrives wrapped in dramatic speeches.

His first partner, a rare **shiny Eevee** that would later evolve into Umbreon, became part of daily life long before either of them noticed.

A male standing at around 5'11, lanky build paired with fair skin that looks as if it's moments away from sunburns if one were to spend longer then they should in beaming sun. The bushy hair resemblances a slate-black esc color more than anything else with hints of a dark blue bearing across the surface. While skinny, and 'underweight' looking, if one were to bore a closer look at Jet it might become obvious that hints layabout of lean muscle from his arms, to his legs, to even parts of his back. While not the physique of an athlete, it's clear it's one whom is no stranger to 'getting physical.' Under Jet's forehead rests a pair of heavy, dull, gray orbs people more often call eyes.

Personality:Friendly, polite, yet distant, a friendliness that serves not only as a shield, a politeness that acts as a barrier keeping the unwanted out. However, deep down they are quite lukewarm, and slow to get rolling when the punches actually demand swiftness. All the while they keep whatever personal problems of theirs, or whatever ones they might be having to tangle with at the time all to themselves. Even if it means doing something crazy all on their own, however they often veer towards the path of least resistance rather than actually offering themselves a challenge, even if they are worse off for it. Even if many have said before they seem to be wasting away whatever talent they have for battles away.

However more often, mist-veil memories failing to dry up, might tend to cause a lack of drive cropping up when it might be needed. Yet likely to be seen as 'that one guy' walking into a breakfast joint ordering a bowl of ice cream at eight in the morning, and a lover of sweets to boot as well. Yet...for whatever strange reason, if there is no one else to turn to? Jet would be willing to help a soul in need, no matter what. Even if peering eyes catch him in the act, even if judging whispers fall upon his actions, even if heavy hands claw at his shoulders. Yet...under all of it?

A fear rests.

A fear to face his old crew, a fear he might actually become the Viper King, a fear that he might hurt another person by accident once again. A crushing weight that bears his will to act down.. Through whatever jokes he might pose up, or however distant he might act. Jet is still a caring person. A double edge blade to drive right into his heart.

History: Jet Steen, born in the far of region of Orre, worlds away from the buzzing gym circuits of Kanto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, and any others that might come to mind. A region plagued to the teeth with crime syndicates, many just thoughts these days, many more but budding branches on the trees that often form around Orre. Enter, Jet, a guy whom is no stranger to the ruffians Orre often offers, someone whom has dealt with the King, The Queen, and even the Jacks'n'Spades. Once a child who had lost his father early in his life, and his mother even earlier then that, he was but a stray who was taken in by the remains of his father's old crew "The Crimson Vipers." A series of events which would lead to years of the 'Junior Viper' being groomed to taken the rains as the 'heir' to become the new 'Viper King.'

However; due in part to the known problems with Ore having little to known wild Pokemon, most of the handful he's ever gotten his hands on? Stolen, or Illegally imported via gang affairs, it was how he got his first ever partner Pokemon, a small bird Pokemon known as Pidgey. A small bird-like creature which had apparently been snagged from a small girl overseas all the way in Kanto. While restless, afraid, hateful, and even prone to lashing out at first. Somehow over the many years he had known the small bird, the two began to share a genuine bond. One that had pushed it's form during an essential moment. Pidgey, it had become a Pidgeotto, a valiant partner whom would follow Jet to the ends of the Earth.

Yet...

Yet. . .?

Yet.

It still had memories, it still missed her old trainer, even as the traces had dried up over the years. Even as Jet attempted to use gang connections to find something, anything, all leads led to the same dead end. However he was not yet stray from the Crimson Vipers, even if it was soon to come, even if the ticking of the clock could be heard by him, by the admins, by the interim leader leader. His Aunt, The Bloody Constellation Angelica, known for her Charizard that could 'paint the dull skies red' with it's flames alone. A name, a fearsome one, that had even spread somewhat outside Orre, a lady whom if seen in other regions by whatever gang might be around would raise concern by just being there.

The final straw, or better yet, the breaking point was when Jet's best friend got caught in the middle of a fight with the Crimson Vipers, and a rival gang. He died. He died by getting caught with a stray from Jet's very own orders. He had done it, he had killed his best friend. . . Wrong place? Wrong time. . .? What did it matter, did it matter? Did it not. . .? It was all questions raised to Jet, some by himself, some by others. Yet, it all ended with him going stray, the Junior Viper King leaving the Crimson Vipers behind. Him leaving Orre altogether. He had wondered through Kanto, to the end of Johto.

He was lost.

He was stray.

He wanted power.

He wanted strength.

He wanted.

He needed to be strong.

That's what led him to the Valkyrie league, seeking the simple strength to end not only the Crimson Vipers, but all of the gangs of Orre.
