Jinny smiled up at the older woman. "I'm Jinny. My brother sent me to learn from the best." She paused, thinking. "Not because he wasn't the best, but because he said there was stuff he was good at, and stuff other people are good at. So I get to learn from everyone!" She sounded quite excited about that, and she was. For her, nothing matched the happy thrill of a successful pull. Not even getting a good grade on her math test, or her brother's peanut butter pancakes. She was ready to do more than pickpocket. "So... what are we supposed to do? I mean... Talking's good, I guess, but..." She shrugged her slim shoulders. "I guess I'm waiting for something to happen."

Mimicking her shrug, Tara looks around the room once more. "I only just arrived myself." Unless you counted all the lurking she did outside the door. "Looks like we missed the 'Newcomer's Orientation'." And the fools behind them hadn't so much as glanced their way to help. The woman looks back down at the girl, still making up her mind on her. She knew from her own experience that being young didn't mean you couldn't steal well, but she wondered what her specialty was. "Maybe we should go spy on the others?" she asks with a teasing tone.

Jinny grinned wide, with a devious glint in her dark eyes. "I'm real good at that. No one notices me 'cause I'm little." She leaned down and unlaced her sneakers, pulling her feet from them and revealing a pair of white socks with pink toes. Then she padded off, her little feet absolutely silent. Her poise and training were clear, even her breath was silent. She turned a corner and peeked into a room, seeing all sorts of computer screens and wires. Instantly she was interested- computers weren't her favorite, but they were still pretty cool. Her brother's boyfriend was teaching her how to hack simple sites, and so far she wasn't that great at it. That didn't mean she couldn't learn. Silently, she just watched and waited, for interesting conversation or something to happen.

When the team broke from the orientation, Eric remained in the common space. Though he wasn't the only one there, he didn't take the time to talk to anyone of his own accord. Rather, he insisted on taking the luggage he had brought along to a table at the back of the room, upon which he set everything down. It would all have to make its way to his personal quarters eventually, but he wanted to take another look over it, especially with the first assignment in mind. Within moment, his case and his tackle box were set out over the table. It was all basic, compared to what he had been using in his previous occupation; he hadn't had much time to pull everything from his apartment and storage units before making his escape to the sewers.

What he did have on him where the bare essentials: a few bald caps and wigs, basic makeup applications for foundations suited to a variety of skin tones, highlights and shadows and an equally varied assortment of applications to simulate injuries (including some fake blood), some latex adhesive and spirit gum (with the spirit gum remover) and an abundance of brushes, sponges and other make-shift applicators. More supplies would come in as he managed to retrieve it. For the moment though, he ran through what he had, quite conspicuously, in the hopes of garnering some conversation.

Tara watched the young girl quietly step away, logging away what information she had on her for later. There were still more people to feel out before she made up her mind on this whole group thing. As her eyes had been wandering earlier, a man in the back with his luggage had caught her interest, namely due to what he had taken out. The woman moves on over, curiosity easily winning her over on this one particular subject. Costuming. "What's all this?" she asks with a genuine grin, sliding into the seat across from the man. "Are you some kind of an actor?" She'd yet to truly meet another who was also into thieving. Not as far as she knew, at least. His collection here was really quite impressive, and being Rebecca, she didn't mind showing that she thought so.

Niesha, curious, stepped up beside the girl, looking at the computers, "hacking. I'm Niesha. If you want, just call me Nessie" she brushed back her hair, thinking about dying it, "what's the best site you've hacked?" She asked, "and what's going on in Iissed the introduction and forgot to as booker"

"Best site I have hacked?" Alexis repeated in question as she started to think "Maybe it would have been that once chat room site, some people were being such bullies to everyone else that I hacked their account and sabotaged them to the point of them being arrested by the police" She grinned "Being thieves doesn't mean you can't still help the less fortunate when they need it" she chuckled as she returned to her game "Oh an we are going to robe some place, split into two teams, one to attend the party in disguise and the other to go and find the server room and hack it" She told her "A map for the place is in the main area. gunna go at it in two days"

Niesha was perplexed by this girl. She frowned, then said, "How secure was the chat room? How long did it take you to hack? details, please. Would you help me with this places crappy security?" She fired off the questions quickly, and waited for the answers, as she studied the equipment.

While she waited, she plopped herself on the floor, emptying her pockets and such. Jammers, scanners, tuners, and lockpicks spread across the floor. She picked up a jammer, and played with it in her hands, her eyes roaming over what she had.

She was going to have to build more, make more sophisticated ones for this job, she thought. She could do it, and quite quickly too.

(Sorry I edited my post. I thought she had gone off to unpack. Ill change my post and respond.)

(I thought that you didn't realize she left so I just rolled with it, I guess she ended up going back to the common room.)
Jacquelyn looked at the bottle of red wine that still sat on the bar and placed a hand on Stiles' shoulder, "When someone close to you dies it is a truly horrible thing, but I'm sure you've heard that all before, or maybe you haven't." She bit her tongue, trying not forget herself and give out important information. She began to make her way around the room, introducing herself and trying her hand at a little small talk. Eventually she bored herself and slipped away to find something more worthwhile. Jacquelyn stopped at what was probably the gym, staying out of sight she listen intently to Booker, Bridget, and Niesha talk. She bit her lip to keep from laughing, it seemed that showy attitude Booker flaunted ran in the family. She tensed slightly as Niesha left, although it made no difference to her whether they knew she was there. However she went unnoticed and decided to hide away in a near by room.

What a unpleasantly good mishap, Jacquelyn had found her way into the armory. Her reaction was similar to a kid in a candy store, even before her big move her arsenal wasn't as big or as varied as this one. Although she purposely avoided the rifle collection she was drawn to them any way, lifting a particularly well crafted rifle away from its resting place she practically purred with contentment. She returned the rifle back to it's spot and stepped back as if she had done something wrong.

Eric heard the question. His mouth, on the side opposite from the inquirer, twisted into the grin of a successful schemer. Relieving himself of a bald cap he had been inspecting, he turned to face the woman now seated next to him, this time giving a sincere smile. "Well, yes," he said. "More so, I was an actor for a while. Up through, roughly, the end of my Sophomore year in college. Then I found that the technical side of theatre had a strong draw to me as well. It was a bit of a battle, but in the end the tech side of it won over and I decided to pursue design as more of my livelihood. Of course, I never truly gave up performance. I certainly won't discount my acting any time soon, seeing as it was what got me into this little club of ours in the first place... I take you're a Thespian as well?

"It was a Chat room, they are totally insecure if you can find the right point of entrance, took me no less than a few minutes, though I have been doing this for a long time and I have yet to find something that is a challenge nowadays" The hacker grinned a little as she turned from her computer and looked towards Neisha, Having a look at what she was doing with her equipment.
"And sure I can help you with security, anything you want to learn I think I can teach you, I'm not the greatest teacher though so be warned" she said still with that grin on her face "So what is all this stuff you have here? A few lock picks and a jammer and a few others things from what I can see, You are prepared for this" she continued to talk as she got down onto the floor with the other girl. Alexis picked up one of the Scanners and had a close look at it, nodding her head a little like she was seeing something interesting.

"This is everything I have that I can transport easily" Niesha said, "My breaking and entering tools. You can have the best security in the world, and still be taken down by a jammer. Unless of course, you're prepared for that sort of thing. Most security isn't" She said with a grin, "Never been seen on a camera, never been seen by a person when I've broken in. Until today, of course, but then what can you expect from a guy like Booker? His sister seems a bit wacko, but then, aren't we all?"

She put down the jammer she held, "I built all this, and I will built more. I will build the best security I can. I just get technology"

Jinny had been standing silent near the door, her sharp young ears picking up the conversation about the computers. Her head was tilted very slightly, a gesture that was common when she was curious about something. She padded in silently, her socks masking her very light footfalls. Before she got close enough for them to see her without turning, she spoke up. "So what's a jammer? Does it break alarms? Why don't you just use the alarm code, or interrupt the current to the system? Or, oh- oh, even better-" Her childishness was showing through her excitement and her brightened eyes. And there, in the cheerful wickedness of her smile, was the budding thief. "Better yet, you make the alarm glitch. A week before you go in for real, you tweak the alarm to go off at random intervals. Make it unpredictable. Make it annoying. Make it so they start to ignore the alarm. And then when it actually does go off- they'll think it's fake. Like that one story.. ah... the boy who called wolf or something..."

Niesha looked up at the eager young girl, and smiled, "A jammer works at jamming things like cameras, alarms, things like that. If I could steal the alarm code, I would, but somethings that has a trigger in on itself. The jammer makes it so I can't be seen, I can get in and out easily without fear of being caught, or of leaving digital footprints of myself running around so the cops can find me. The trouble with some alarms is that the company will send out the cops, so this is the safest option"

She picked up a scanner, "This, if I can get close enough, tells me how many people are in a building, or where people are, or what security I can be up against" she set it down, picking up her lock picks, "Obviously, these are lock picks. I learned how to use them when I was younger then you, I am guessing"

She smiled, "You give me anything to do with technology, I can build it, take it apart, make it better"

Jinny grinned and picked up the lock picks. "My brother gave me a set of these. But they're kinda old... I guess I get the good ones when I'm better." She ran her fingers along them, grinning a bit. "I'm working on all kinds of locks. It's sort of nice, learning how to pick each one. Learning the differences, and then that feeling when it pops open..." She let out a giggle of devious glee. "What I really like, though, is taking apart things and fixing them. My brother's boyfriend found me in his tech-cave - he calls it that - and he got really pissed because I started dismantling this really old computer tower he had in there. But then he stopped being pissed when I put it back together and it turned on... he said it'd been shit for years but he kept it for... umm..." Her nose wrinkled as she tried to remember the phrase. "Sen... tim.. ental.. value. Whatever that is."

Niesha smiled watching the girl, and nodding, "taking things apart and making them better is quite satisfactory" She said, "I love it. All my tools, my jammers and scanners and everything else, I've build myself. I once built a computer that could do all the things my tools could, but it got destroyed and I haven't had the money to build another one. When I was a kid, I wanted to build a mechanical dog, but I never could get the programming right, and I haven't tried for a while now. Where's your brother now?"

"Oh, he's around. He got the invite, but he says he doesn't work with people he doesn't know. Too many variables." She settled down on the ground. "He operates outta Europe mostly. Doesn't like to name drop. And me... I ran the streets from 27th to 49th avenue." She grinned sheepishly. It wasn't anything like what these guys could pull off, but it was still hers, and she was proud of that. "One day I'll be super famous, though!"

Niesha, amused, and somewhat shocked, said, "I ran those streets too, when I was a kid. Before my adoptive father found me and took me in" She said, "How goes business there? I'm only where I am today because of those streets" She smiled at the kid, "I'm Niesha by the way, but some people find that a mouthful, so Nessie will do too"

Jinny's eyes widened in surprise. "You're adopted too?! No way! That's so awesome... I mean, not the part with the streets, but... Er... Nevermind." She grinned in a cute-kid sort of way. "I'm Jinayah. But everyone calls me Jinny, so you can too." Jinny wasn't going to say so just yet, but she was pretty sure she'd found her first mentor. "Was your Daddy a thief too? 'Cause my brother found me and made me a better one."

"My real father? No. my adopted one, yes, he was, when he was a boy. Then he took me in, and raised me, gave me a life, and taught me all he knew. He allowed me to invest my time in making my tools, taught me how to make them better, made me would I am today" Niesha said with a smile, "I have no doubt that without him, I'd be dead. He caught me trying to pick his pocket, and then....well, I thought I was done for then, but I wasn't"

Jinny stared at Neisha in stunned silence, before she looked around, then lowered her voice. "I met my brother... when I picked his pocket. He knew... and he chased me down. But instead of turning me in, he gave me money and let me go. Then we met when he came to the orphanage where I used to stick around. He took me in. At first I didn't know why- but then I broke into a room in the basement with all his fancy stolen stuff. He was real pissed for like five minutes, then he offered to train me." She grinned. "And that was like a year ago."
