It would be better if they can control when it goes off so could chug him like a grenade at enemies. :)

Yes, to the left of my cell.

You can exchange your character for your archer next attempt. Don't worry about your previous guy we can assume that he will someone have made it out some other way.

you know, a thought just came to me. Could our Time Gal rewind Raen to before fall status? If so then well, that would be a very scary power up even temporary.

It has begun! Time to gang up on it and hopefully not have Jeremy explode in the middle of us.
Two things first though:
1. You didn't confirm it IC, but can we assume that Rick can indeed summon his weapons to himself?
2. Someone mentioned a wooden stool in their cell... can i pick it up and use it as a weapon? >:3

I think we should discuss our tactics both here and IC? Since it would be weird if our characters already know what to do without even discussing it among themselves.

Discussing tactics OOC is certainly a good idea, but our characters would of course have to be able to communicate it to each other in order to execute it.

I was in fact just about to be a try-hard and propose some tactics:
In any case, the unarmed ones (Garrok, Jeremy, Khan, Raen) should probably just try to distract the beast and dodge its attacks, while Maybird and Rick (armed with magic fists and crossbow respectively) try to damage it. That should be a lot more effective than hitting it with fists anyways. Additionally, Kenzo could try to climb on its back and claw out its eyes, which would give us a massive advantage if he succeeds.

Edit: I see there's some ambiguity about the form of its attack. I thought a downward smash was already initiated, which makes an if/if scenario unnecessary. Or is it?

Raen is not completely defenseless. He can use his magic, it's just won't be focused and thus uncontrolled making to dangerous to both sides. Kinda like a bomb except for magical flames that burns all and cause perm wounds that can't heal.

It was said that the beast was charging toward our characters, going to take a downward swing, but Nobody said that we still had time to react and rush into the next room if we wished, so I assumed that if I had Maybird run in, he would distract the beast from the group standing in the entrance to the dungeon door.

I forgot about the ball and chain! That will make an excellent weapon for those buff enough to wield it. Excellent in absence of actual weapons, that is. Can i call dibs on it instead since Raen still has his magic?

One also shouldn't forget Diēscogitō is not without means of defending himself. If others were to bye time, we could easily drew the thing into a trap which could immobilize it.

Guess what rune he would use to do that.

The bounty one, are you going to make a bunch of chains to trip the thing?

Also, Kurty, I think Jeremy would do his best by hiding with the witch, seeing how neither aren't that capable of taking that thing out.

The earth rune seems more likely. It's uncertain if he's even capable of duplicating chains.

And unfortunately, without his power glove Jeremy is indeed a bigger danger to us than to the monster, in case he explodes. There has to be some way to put him to use...

And wow Joe, your character did a lot of stuff in a very small time frame. At least i imagine the time between us entering and the monster reaching us to be only a few seconds. Though Important Nobody will have to judge that.
And since you can fire your crossbow several times in a row, i wonder, is it a repeater crossbow or is it just light enough to be pulled back so quickly?

Edit: Oh and i was actually planning to drag Jeremy out of the way if he doesn't post before me, so it's funny that we had to same idea. It's getting late though, so i think i'll post tomorrow.

I will say it's a repeater, I know nothing about crossbows and that seems like the thing I am looking for. *Goes and sits in the corner.*

Edit: Wouldn't he have enough time because the monster was trying to hit Maybird?
