This is the world.

General overview:
Frostlands and Nirshire have a main race of humans. The Frostlands, however, are mixed with some other races such as dwarves, orcs, etc.
Elves dominate the Scale Crown.
Dwarves dominate Stonfall.
Freehills are a massive melting pot.
The Forest of the Ancients is where that region's "gods" are believed to live. Dragons, fae creatures, etc. mainly reside in the forest.
The northern and southern wastes are uninhabited, from what you guys are aware of.
The Blood Sands and Zamurzaut Isles are territories of Nirshire. They are of human residence. The Bloodsands are mixed with some other races because of trade routes.

I have papers that have all of this world's more fine, and extensively detailed information written down on them. I just need to transfer them onto my laptop. I have all of the cultures for the regions broken down.

But you can think of the Frostlands like Nordes, the Freehills like a pseudo European-Union, Stonefall like the dwarven government of Dragon Age Origins, Nirshire like a traditional monarchy, and the Scale Crown's royalty are decided by their gods.

It's really just the fact I have to wait until I'm done with finals this week that makes me wanna have you guys submit your CS's first before I dish out your background region's infos to you.

Alright, then. Would a Kalashtar character fit into this world? They're kind of setting-specific, but they could just as easily be from a generic dream world.

Yes they would, I was looking into that last night. I'd have to work out the details as to how your character came into existence, but it's definitely doable.

Cool. I think I'm going to play an Ardent, in case anyone wants to know for the purpose of having a well-rounded party. I'll get a CS with stats done tomorrow, and we can figure out a story after everyone else is ready.

Still looking for more possible PCs? What role is needed? I tend to lean towards Leader and Defender, but I will play anything for the sake of trying something new.

If you want to do a leader and defender role, for 4e I recommend Battlemind, Runepiest, Artificer, Swordmage, Bard, Shaman, Warden, Warlord, Cleric, Fighter and Paladin.

Out of all of those, in regards to a Defender/Leader, I'd say Warden, Warlord and Battlemind would work best for a diverse team comp since we have a Fighter (me) and an Ardent already.

Other classes the party would benefit from are an Invoker, Barbarian, Ranger, Rogue, Wizard, Avenger, Cleric, Warlock and Monk.--this is a good note for anyone interested

As for races, I'm open to any race so as long as I am asked about it before hand. Such as the case of the Revenant from earlier, and the Kalashtar. Since I'm using my own lore for this campaign, I need to be able to make sure I can fit the race in properly so you guys have the green lights for your races.

The only races that I know would be an absolute issue to have as PCs are Warforged, Bladeling and Shardmind.

However, play the class you are interested in. I am not against working to make sure the party comp you guys have won't get destroyed. The point of this campaign is to, hopefully, enjoy the story I've made. I'm not critical about you guys losing your encounters unless it's an intended part of the plot. And even if it's intended, I'd make the fight turn into a cut-scene at some point of it.

I thought revenant guy said he was going to play an Eladrin instead? Also, i totally missed the fact that we already had someone who was going to play a Kalashtar paladin. If he's still interested, I'll do something else.

Whether they want to play a Revenant still wasn't what I was getting at; I was saying that if you are interested in a race or class that might not fit into the setting, notify me first so I can make it fit.

Yeah, it's very much so open. I've only been sent in 2 character sheet so for. Max party members is 6, minimum needed is 4.

I would like to join, I should be able to have something up, I have always played 3.5 and earlier, but have done some small looking into 4th, I'm currently debating between a dragonborn cleric or tiefling rouge.

Great! Since I'm a complete DnD noob, I was wondering if you could show me a sample character sheet (since I'm assuming that it doesn't work like a normal RP CS)
