I should really put up a picture for Silverwind, but like you said: I need to motivate myself into drawing one. Maybe at some point!

I'd prefer to introduce you once this mission is complete. Throwing you both in halfway through a mission seems too chaotic and a bit too abrupt. Plus, I have plans on how events after this mission will play out, so I have ideas on how to intro both of your characters easily.
It's just relying on people to get their reaction posts up, and I can keep the action moving with some momentum to get us through this scene and onto the next one.

I reckon we can probably squeeze you in at this time - Winter and Muses have recently returned, so it'd be unfair to not offer you the same courtesy. Especially as we had a couple of drop-outs.
Get a sheet up, and I can introduce your character at the same time as Winter and Muses characters.

A question. I didn't see anything about possibly being able to carry a shield. Like a alloy shield on the mechs forearm. Would it be possible?

Sorry, I must have missed it, and not thought of it when writing up the GEAR DOC. I'll add it to the doc. And you are indeed welcome to carry a shield, much like a Gundam or other similar mecha.

EDIT: Updated the docs with some mention of shields.

Character Name: Kahlan Steadfast
Age: 28
Species: Panther
Appearance:

When not having fun at the pool (haha) she can usually be seen wearing a tank top and a pair of low cut shorts with the legs stopping at mid thigh.

Personality: On any average day outside the field of battle, Kahlan is generally highly in tune with her artistic side, more so than any other part of her being, especially compared to others. However, unlike a more general outlook, she sees gears and metal itself in the forms of art and design, able to constantly find herself engrossed in the metal working projects she usually has running from this very same passion. Her unique ideas on how gears and metal can form together shine through in these forms of art, her projects showing off such things, even if she herself doesn't brag much about them, they show their quality off without such things being needed.

In the heat of battle, Kahlan loses any real sense of self preservation, especially in the face of losing allies and friends. She flies into battle, a whirling dervish of power, without a single care to her own safety. Her loyalty to friends makes her gullible to a fault, easily strung along by them when they feel like, making her more easily fooled by such things. Her loyalty is a driving force behind her lack of self preservation in the field of battle, unable or unwilling to temper it with caution or reason, throwing both to the wind of someone who earned her loyalty is in need, just jumping in feet first without looking, regardless of the consequences.

This combination of traits leads to Kahlan seeing herself as a protector of everyone that holds her loyalty, and her friendship as an extension of this, and coupling this protective nature with her wild abandon when entering battle, she is often called reckless by her allies and friends in battle and peace, but while reckless is dangerous to her, she has proven her value in the field of battle, saving others when it seemed impossible, so no one has tried to break her of such a habit yet, although it is probably only a matter of time, and something going wrong, before it happens.

Personal History: From her birth, from the days her memory was clear of her childhood, Kahlan Steadfast could only remember her and her own father, lacking any mother figure what so ever growing up, which was not the most uncommon thing in the world. Her father was a mechanic, specifically, one who worked with the fabrication of metal on the side while he utilized being a mechanic to maintain his ability to do that as an extra service. She would enjoy many nights working with her father, learning his trade in building all sorts of interesting, new devices to her, all of this occuring after her normal schooling periods growing up, and this time would be well cherished in the future years to come.

Kahlan realized her real passion when a contract came in for her father, specifically from the LDF to to work on several Gears that needed upkeep and maintenance done to them. The moment she laid eyes upon the mechas, she was enamoured, completely and utterly. Within that moment, she wanted to know everything about the Gears and their inner metal workings, how intricate and fitting the parts and materials could be at any one time. And not only did she want to know everything about them, she wanted to be in one, piloting them and operating them wherever it was needed, applying the magnificant piece of mechanical achievement in its best fields of work possible.

Entering her teen years, Kahlan spent as much time as she could possibly spare between school and working with her father sifting through the net, gathering and learning as much about Gears as was possible on the subject. Coupled with the knowledge from her father's teachings in both mechanics and metalworking, she was a natural choice for joining the LDF, which she volunteered to do, going to them and joining when she came of age to do so. While her initial talents would have dumped her into the role of a mechanic, but her natural talent as a Gear pilot saved her from this fate, instead putting her in the front line with other units.

While Kahlan was a natural pilot, her reckless nature was made more than apparent to any unit she was assigned to, and her squadmates would often make comment and notice of such things, and this was not just the only thing that would be noticed. Her outlooks and talent in modifying and working with Gears was incredibly unorthodox and counter to the units approved methods of modification and maintenance with such things, but this did not even phase or stop Kahlan in the slightest, since she reckoned that she knew what she was doing well enough to do such things without a problem in doing so.

The sheer amount of transfers was slowly grinding down on poor Kahlan, who wanted to grow and expand her Gear in new ways, and was just about ready to give in to the regularity of the rest of the LDF when the 101st found her dossier, and promptly offered her a position in their unit, which would not only be open, but accepting to her unorthodox ways. She accepted without delay, jumping right into the new unit that was willing to let her do things her way, and expand on her Gear, and those that would let her, with these new methods towards modification and upkeep of the units Gears.

Muse, your character looks fine. I'd maybe suggest bumping up the calibre of the GEARs pistol to 20mm rather than 10mm, as 10mm is an infantry pistol-sized cartridge, so not really suitable for GEAR combat. It does seem a little under-armed by comparison to some of the others, but all weapons are modular and interchangable anyway, so that's not a huge issue. I'm happy to approve your character, and I'll add her to the list later when I have more of a chance to do so. I can then introduce her alongside the other two characters, once we get to a suitable place.

Mainly I'm just waiting for a round of reactions from the last post before I bring things on a bit more. But we're lagging a little right now.
