On a related note, could the party have a crude, or even well developed if one is so inclined, map to better represent the exact positioning of all things? I suspect that this might be mighty relevant with something that seems to have very, very long reach and is no kobold or dragon from the look of it, @Hekazu.

I am afraid that is well beyond the 60ft darkvision range.

Here I was about to ask the exact same question but with answer already had, all I can add now is I eagerly await finding out just whatever this creature is. It certainly feels strange and out of place with dragons but then again, I haven't paid all the draconic leanings of the editions much mind.

I almost feel as if this might be a quest giving creature in itself, because this feels so out of place. Novel, that much I can say.

I have my suspicions as well but more than anything that it wants to talk is sort of... marvelous, in a way? Surprising intrigue if we are right about what it is. I certainly would not expect that of a module either.

Brannor is on initiative count 19 but only rolls a 5 and another 5 for the Dexterity saving throw, @Hekazu. We will see what our potential new ally or at least company will do seeing as the kobolds interrupted the conversation.

• A restrained creature's speed becomes 0, and it can't benefit from any bonus to its speed.
• Attack rolls against the creature have advantage, and the creature's attack rolls have disadvantage.
• The creature has disadvantage on Dexterity saving throws.

You are not forbidden from attacking. You just are worse at it.

Thanks to danger sense, my advantage on dex saves cancels out the disadvantage from restrained and now I have an 18 on my save. My Init is a 12 though.

As for the failed DEX save by Brannor, he is now Restrained by a second effect, namely the glue bomb. Good to know, I suppose.
