@SepI was wondering if psychiatry would be necessary on this kind of ship, considering that they're all alone in space with various existential crises and the like. It might be necessary to administer some sort of mood-changer, sedative, or antidepressant to certain people, or offer insight as to why a particular person was acting up. Could something like that be feasible?

There's a character joining (Been in PMs with a guy) who actually has schizophrenic tendencies, just to add some more fun to the mix.

I'm still working on solidifying my character because I've been working on a research paper this week and can't do the kind of writing required for the CS just yet.

So far I understand he's going to be Nagasaki, he's going to be the ships foremost psychotherapist. I'm going to assume that workers that fall under "therapy" or similar are going to be under a more general management with experts instead of heads. I also know that he's trained in crisis management and a couple of martial arts so he can de-escalate problems quickly. He'll be working very closely with the police force when something awry happens that could invite panic, sort of like a temporary or consultant.

Basically he'll have basic to advanced taining in several mundane fields with an expertise only in psychotherapy, so he'd be on the ship for sheer Jack of all trades, master of one sorta shit.

Edit: You seem like you want a character more on the medical side of psych. We could work together as two sides of the same coin?

@Sep so another question from me considering ww3 happened a century ago how much did the planet suffer? was only Europe vaporized or was the entire planet shot to crap?

@boomlover Each country had it's fair share of losses, most of the damage was contained to Europe though the United Korean State (North and South Korea) did see it's fair share of damage.

Most the damage has been repaired by this point, with the exception of European countries.
